Bio
  • 1999 Sioux Falls Augustana College graduate. BS in Bs Admin, Soc, Psych. I've been in a gym lifting, training, and learning about fitness since 1992. 
  • After living in Mineapolis, Mn for 5 years my wife and I moved home to Sioux Falls, SD where I started Results Personal Training out of a spare bedroom in our house. Over the course of time it slowly evolved into Sioux Falls's first private training studio with 2000 sq. ft, of kettlebells, power racks, free weights, a slosh pipe, and many other fun implements. 
  • Former Powerlifter After tearing my left tricep and being forced into early retirement from powerlifting, I discovered kettlebells with some encouragement from Brad Nelson, RKC. And in 2009 I earned my Hardstyle Kettlebell certification. 
  • In 2010 I went on and earned my RKC. 
  • I've had clients range in age from 10 to 75.
 
Philosophy-
 
Simple, Functional, and Results driven! My philosophy was created after my experience in powerlifting and kettlebell training. I believe in training your body the same way you live. I use basic compound movements that get your whole body working as a complete system. The more muscles in use, equals the higher the chance for progress. RKC taught me how to help touble shoot weak links, and apply a system of progression to avoid injury and help ensure success.

10/10 Corey Knows his stuff!

I've had the opportunity to work with Corey Howard a couple of times, we live on the opposite sides of the state, otherwise I would work with him more. He has helped me significantly with my training and I feel fortunate to know him and have the opportunity to learn from his expertise. He quickly picks up on any weaknesses and/or imbalances and knows how to fix it. He also helped my husband immensely with his KB swing, something I have been trying to help him with for a long time (anyone else have a hard time training their spouse?). Thank you Corey for all you have done to help us and I look forward to continuing to learn from you! You are awesome.

In April 2012 I went to the RKC certification in St. Paul. This weekend is as intense as it is demanding. I really appreciated having Corey as a teaching assistant on my team. He seems to be a man of few words but when he had something to say, it was either a valid correction or was an encouraging word. His instruction was helpful and his humble unassuming demeanor provided a sense of calm during a packed, sometimes chaotic weekend. Even during the testing, when you are being scrutinized on form and technique, he came across as a gentleman-not condescending or intimidating, which helped me focus on demonstrating the things I learned rather than worrying about failing. I am grateful that Corey was a part of the leadership of my team.

I have just completed my 5th week of KB classes with Corey and the RESULTS thus far are quite gratifying!!! Not only has my strength increased, but I'm connecting with my body and it's strength, therefore Corey is pushing me out of my comfort zone to obtain a greater me. My flexibility and endurance have also seen improvements thus far. Corey's knowledge and compassion for giving people true RESULTS is quite obviously and his drive to push me to the next level is what I appreciate the most. We all have goals that sometimes work more like habits and habits can kill us.....I believe Corey is a true leader in the gym that will make my goals real for me!

I met Corey shortly after graduating with a health and fitness degree, with a specialty in exercise. After learning from Corey and following his philosophy for the past year, my knowledge of exercise and fitness has vastly improved, not to mention my pain free shoulder and increased hip mobility. Corey’s understanding of functional exercise and knack for finding weak links is incredible. His approach to strength and conditioning is simple, safe and effective, yet enjoyable and excruciating all at once.

I've been receiving one on one training with Corey for 6 months now and cannot believe how he has transformed my life to the positive in this amount of time. I've never liked gyms that have a bunch of guys trying to throw as much weight around as possible, just to impress themselves. That's why I like RESULTS, technique over power, solidify your core, and the rest will come. When I started with Corey I knew I needed to make a lifestyle change and put faith in him that he could help me get the results I was longing for. It's not just the challenging workouts, but the variation in exercises, but the attention to the aforementioned technique, nutrition plan, and the general passion he has for the industry. My wife also partakes in Corey's weekly Kettlebell classes and all I can say is our home life has been incredible since we made the commitment to RESULTS. Thank you Corey, from me, my wife, and my kids.

Six months ago, a friend invited me to a kettlebell class at Corey’s gym. She knew that I liked to workout and thought I would enjoy the challenge. Needless to say, nothing really has been the same since! At the start, Corey eased me into the kettlebell workouts by making sure I had the proper technique to prevent re-injury to my lower back. At each workout, Corey pushes us to toward our personal best, while monitoring that each exercise is done correctly. I am stronger and in the best physical condition of my life, thanks to Corey’s workouts.

Here’s the best part - Not too long after I started Corey’s kettlebell workouts, I suggested my husband, Scott, contact Corey about one-on-one personal training. Corey’s influence in Scott’s well-being has impacted our entire family. We are a happier and healthier family – eating better and moving more! Corey, we truly can’t thank you enough.

I came to Corey at the ripe old age of 51. I was always athletic in my youth and thought I was still in decent shape because I occasionally ran and played Adult soccer. Since being introduced to Corey and entering into a detailed training program that consists of weight lifting, kettlebells and cardio excercises, I have seen my fitness level soar. I told Corey last week that because of the Kettlebells I am now able to kick a soccer ball harder and with more velocity than ever before. I am seeing new definition on my body where soft mounds of flesh use to be. Crorey and his damn Kettlebells have changed my life!
