10/10 Basic Training

By Jon Stocking / Fort Collins, USA

I participated in five sessions with Dr. Nieves, looking for an opportunity to expand my workout gains. My prior routine involved standard weight training and running -- and I found I was becoming increasingly restricted in my motion and development. The kettleballs added a completely new dimension involving coordination between multiple muscle groups in each exercise, and functional movements offering better gains towards enjoying my other lifestyle activities: such as bicycling, waterskiing. Dr. Nieves also incorporated the trx suspension system and battle-ropes into the workouts to provide a wide range of variety, range of motion and cardio-effect over my traditional weight / cardio routine. I'd highly recommend him for anyone serious about exploring new options and making positive gains, regardless of current fitness level.

10/10 Ready for the RKC!!!!

By Jorge Cruz, HKC / Fort Lauderdale, FL USA

I got a hold of Dr. Nieves online, and was lucky enough he was going to be in the Miami area on a business trip. I am an RKC candidate and felt I needed help with my technique. We met for a two hour session. Immediately, he identified weaknesses in my technique (even my swing, which I thought was pretty good). We went through corrective drills, and he provided several tips to perform all the moves more efficiently. He suggested different workout routines both to work on my power and conditioning. A very simple tip corrected my Goblet squat immediately.

I certainly feel way more confident with all the drills and workout routines Dr. Nieves suggested. I have 45 days to the RKC in Orlando (October 2010), and I will certainly be ready.... Thanks Ricardo!!!!

10/10 Kettlebells great for weight loss

By Donald Reidy / Fort Collins CO, USA

As the new year came around I've decided to become more healthy. I have lost 50lbs by diet and Doc has helped me lose the last 10, and now he is sculpting me into a person that I have always wanted to be. I never have been cut, but now I can see major definition.

Doc's knowledge and leadership skills have pushed me to a place that I didn't think I could go. It shows the passion he has when he is teaching us and working hard to better our selves. I thank him for helping me feel better about myself.

Thanks Doc!

10/10 A big 10!

By Karin O'Halloran / Fort Collins, CO USA

Dr. Nieves is very knowledgeable in getting your whole body involved in a great workout. He varies the routine each day, and it is nice to change it out daily. I really recommend this workout to anyone who likes to exercise. I give this class a big 10!

10/10 Do It Right With Dr. Nieves

By Michael Thompson / Fort Collins, CO USA

I have been in pretty good shape most of my 42 years. I had heard of the kettle bell program but never tried it. Dr. Nieves has been treating my wife for a couple of years now and I finally had the opportunity to train with him myself. I am an instant convert to this program. Muscle recruitment combined with aerobic activity to develop true functional strength that can be applied to my real world vocation. I truly believe that had I started this program with anyone else, I would have been underwhelmed. Dr. Nieves emphasizes learning proper technique to both avoid injury and, more importantly, to develop true strength. Oh yeah, by the way, he's a genuinely cool guy too!

10/10 Great KB instructor and healer

By Julio Anta / Miami, FL

I'm an HKC instructor. I'm a martial arts and fitness instructor and owner of one of South Florida's most successful martial arts fitness center. I have been training with kettlebells for over 6 years and hold two other kettlebell certifications. I highly recommend Dr. Nieves as a kettlebell instructor and healer. I met Ricardo a few weeks before my HKC certification. He was in South Florida and came by my center. I was recuperating from a back injury. Ricardo taught me an exercise that relieved my back pain and then work with me on my kettlebell moves. Nieves is one of the best kettlebell instructors that I have met!

10/10 Brooke J H

By Brooke / Fort Collins, CO USA

I am very grateful for Ricardo Nieves, MD to be in the Northern Colorado community! Dr. Nieves has an incredible approach to overall health as well as complete full body exercise. I am appreciative that my husband and I were introduced to Dr. Nieves and the Russian Kettlebell program. I had no ideas what to expect when we began training with Dr. Nieves. Both of us were contentedly surprised. My husband and I have always been an athletic people; however we met our match with Dr. Nieves and the RKC program. Furthermore, I am extremely tired of the everyday gym and the countless hours I have spent at the gym without noticing any change in my figure. After our workout with Dr. Nieves; we were left with a compete body workout- which was exciting! I felt ever inch of his workout! I pushed myself to the level Dr. Nieves would let my body exert. I have never felt a level of comfort in a gym as I did with Dr. Nieves. I am eager to learn more from Dr. Nieves and the RKC program.

Cheers to 2010~ It looks good!

10/10 Time is valuable

By Brian Hopkins / Loveland, Colorado

I have never thought I could have such an intense, full body workout within 30-45 minutes. The overall experience is worth my time and my health to continue and experience kettlebells to the fullest. I am tired of the gym and the norm. I am tired of working out for an hour plus just to do it all over again the next day. Kettlebells and Dr. Nieves will continue to test my endurance and my strength as I am up for the challenge.

10/10 This is a real workout!

By Irena Danczik, MD / Cheyenne, WY

I met Dr. Nieves about 9 years ago when we practiced medicine in the same town in New Mexico. I watched him to be very devoted not only to his medical practice and his patients but to his famous and killing workouts. He worked out with my husband and got him into best shape of his life!! After Ricardo became certified in Kettlebells training I slowly started to look at it as an option to my semi-regular exercise. I never liked long aerobic activities but with Ketlebells you can do your cardio in 20 minutes! We started with a group of people and after he taught me a proper technique (crucial for this exercise) and a variety of different exercise I am continuing to exercise on my own. He is always available for another session or any kind of advice. It is amazing! After one month my 15 years old son said:" Oh my God, Mom, you have a six pack!"

10/10 Best overall workout

By Abby Bloedorn / Fort Collins, CO

My Husband and I took a class with Dr. Nieves to learn what Kettlebells was all about. What a workout! It worked every muscle in my body. I felt sore for 3 days but it was the "good sore" where you feel energized. He is very attentive to every move to insure the proper technique. I have been seeing Dr. Nieves for lower back pain and he made sure that the exercises were correct to help my back to get stronger. It is really exciting to learn from someone who is so passionate about Kettlebells and Sport Fitness. Dr. Nieves also has a great practice and a wonderful family. We are very lucky to have him here in Fort Collins.
