I have been training with K.C. for over a year now and cant say enough about his ability to bring out the best in the clients he trains. He has inspired me to set goals for myself that a year ago I would have laughed at. I went from from 34% body fat to 17% in less than a year and have never felt better... My only regret is not finding KOR FITNESS long before now. His knowledge regarding health and fitness has extremely benefited my fitness goals HIS WORK-OUTS ROCK and trust me you wont get board..but you will get fit.... all you have to do is show up and be determined !! I cant recommend him enough as a trainer. Thanks K.C.!!

I've been training with KC for almost a year and it has been by far the best training I have ever done. I've been an athlete all my life and this is the only time I have really put on muscle and had fun doing it. His work-out's are fun and exciting. I go train with him looking forward to the work-out. He has a great personality and tells you exactly what you need to hear and I love that. WOrking out with KC has made me want to live a healthy life style and really get it together with my work outs. I love training with him and recommend him to anyone who wants to get in shape and look great! Thanks KC..

My husband and I started training with KC about a month ago. We were getting bored with the typical gym workouts we were doing, and heard rave reviews of KC and his Kettlebell classes from our Chiropractor. Since we started I have gone 5 days a week, and we've never done the same workout twice. It is definitely NOT boring! I feel constantly challenged, which is exactly what I need. I'm in my off-season now from competing in NPC Figure Division, and I can't wait to start my 2008 competition season with KC as my trainer. He is, by far, the most knowledgeable trainer I've had... and I've been through my share of them!

I have tried every type of exercise program out there. I had almost given up hope that there was a way to change my body into what I wanted. I heard about Kor Fitness and Kettlebells from a friend. K.C. was a personal trainer for me years ago. He was the best trainer then and still is. Kor Fitness has changed my body. I am leaner, stronger and more fit than I have ever been. My body fat is at an all time low. K.C. pushes you to try things you would never think you could do. For the first time ever I can do pull ups. I grew up in the mountains with a very active lifestyle, there was never a need to an extra workout. However, 2 kids and 9 years of school had me de-conditioned and wondering what to do. I had tried the gym thing in the past and found that isolation exercises and machines left a lot to be desired.

I started working out with kettlebells at home in 2006 but reached a training plateau. I found KC through the Dragon Door website and went to check him out; he was exactly what I had been looking for. K.C. trained smart, tough, and and was always looking for ways to improve on his methods, movements, and workouts. Boredom was not an option.

I started out fairly strong, but after 1 year of training I can press the 44lb bell, do a Turkish get-up with the 66lb bell, snatch/push press/ and do clean and jerks with the 53lb bell, do double cleans with 66lb bells, and squat with double 53lb bells. I had never dead lifted in my life, and can now do so with 245lbs. I have gone down several pants sizes, and K.C. has provided motivation and guidance to help me meet my nutritional and fitness goals.

Frankly, I am not an athlete, and I was terrified to work out with a group of fit individuals. However, I had found that everyone at KOR fitness wants me to do my best, and KC will help me get there.


 
10/10 Commercial Gym Bunny to a New Perspective

When I first came to K.C. in 2008, I showed up in a Bodybuilding.com t-shirt and a pair of sneakers with no much cushion, baby diaper companies would have looked away. Somehow though, he managed to draw me away from the "fitness scene" and direct me towards a new approach to strength development and overall athleticism.

I went from doing barbell curls to dead lifts. I went from pressing dumbbells at a seated position to clean and pressing a 44lb kettle bell with ease. I went from running endless, ridiculous miles to sprints. I went from squatting a loaded barbell to double kettle bell front squats. He challenged me to climb a 20 foot rope, do strict pull ups, and flip tractor tires. I blame him for my fitness accomplishments. I just made the decision to work and trust someone that believed in athletic abilities I never knew I had.

I started kettlebell training under K.C. at Kor Fitness 3 years ago and had no idea how my life would change! I had trained at a local gym doing the same exercises the wrong way, over and over resulting in messed up shoulders and a whole lot of other problems. K.C.'s training has made me stronger than I had ever imagined, more coordinated, more flexible, and more confident. My body is toned, and reshaped, and I have never felt better! I have the stamina to keep up with my very active athletic family and enjoy my hobbies that much more. I cannot imagine any other kind of training.
You will NEVER be bored at Kor Fitness because the workouts are never the same, and K.C. personalizes his workouts based on the individual, and he is the most motivating instructor I have ever seen (You'll see what I mean!).Just come to his classes prepared to work hard, be focused, listen closely and watch the transformation happen!

Had the pleasure to be on a team with K.C. at the Feb 2010 rkc II cert.
The whole team was impressed with K.C.'s excellent form, but more so with his generous spirit offering support for his new colleagues, and fast tips to improve our own form. This combination of support and intelligent training is a great combination.

If you're looking to get into kettlebells, to develop and/or improve your athleticism, you'll make immediate progress with K.C.

If you are looking for someone to blow smoke and tell you you are doing a good job as you do your 20th rep of bicep curls with the 5lb weight, then you shouldn't come. If you want to truly be pushed harder than you ever thought you could work, then KOR Fitness is the place for you. I have considered myself physically fit all of my life, seeking out a gym in every city I have ever traveled or lived in before even unpacking my bags. Thanks to K.C., I no longer have the need to step foot in a "typical" gym to put my time in on the treadmill and I look forward to going to class every day. I can't wait to be challenged by K.C. and my peers. I am in the best shape of my life with the lowest percentage of body fat. When people ask me where I work out, I am excited to tell them about KOR Fitness.

I started training with KC about a year and a half ago. I was 46, 245lbs, 28% body fat. I was on my way to being a middle aged "fat guy".
I couldn't do a pullup, I could barely press the 35# kb, I was tight all over. Now, at 47, I am 235#, 17% body fat, I can do 11 pull ups, press the 88# kb, and almost do the splits. I wake board and am starting training for Masters Track and Field. KC has rehabilitated a very broken down back of mine and now I am stronger than ever. KC is the kind of trainer that finds your limits and has the ability to take you past them. If you want to find your true potential, and more, KOR Fitness is the place to train!

I own the NutriShop in Chico and am a certified personal trainer and nutritionist as well as a competitive bodybuilder. I have never hired a trainer before because I am very critical of them. After hearing about KC and KOR fitness from client of mine, I decided to check out his programs. I came away very impressed by KC and his knowledge not just of kettlebell training, but training in general. I have been training with KC for about 9 weeks now and I am very happy with the results and with how he has integrated my bodybuilding goals into his programs. I also have increased strength and range of motion in my shoulders, which were pretty bound up from traditional linear bodybulding exercises. I can personally couch for KC and KOR fitness!
