Colleen is a phenomenal coach who will help you reach fitness goals and help you train with intention and intensity. I've been working with Colleen for almost 9 months now, starting in her Swing to Snatch group program and continuing with personal training. I've always liked kettlebells and during the pandemic, was looking for a way to have structured work-outs with more weight than I could get from a streaming class or group fitness setting. Since then, I've loved how my workouts have structure and I can see how I'm progressing in weights and reps. Colleen and I work together for virtual training sessions and she writes workouts for me to do independently during the week - which I love because it gives me accountability but also puts me in a position to have awareness about what and how I'm training, instead of solely going through a session as someone instructs me. She's always down to view a video of something I might need checked as well, which is great because I know she's considerate of safe movement when working with heavy weight. Colleen works with me on any goals I have and helps me create new ones. She's easy to access for support and checks in on me when we're working on something as well. I feel like we're really partnered together on my fitness, which is a great feeling, and she's responsive to any help I need. Kettlebell workouts have been fun, but I've also definitely gotten a lot stronger, and I love that I can do them with minimal equipment from home. Working with Colleen has helped me stick with something long-term that I'm seeing results in doing. You absolutely couldn't go wrong in choosing to work with her!

Where do I start?! Colleen is truly the best coach. I am a different person physically and mentally after 18 months of working with Colleen in hardstyle kettlebell technique. I first met Colleen when I was taking her in-person group HIIT classes and I would travel an hour just to take her classes because I loved her coaching styler and how she always found a way to provide individualized coaching to each of her students even with 40+ of us in the room! She always encouraged me to check out her kettlebell classes, but I never had the courage to actually check it out because I thought I was not strong enough to do anything like that. When COVID it, I decided to start working 1:1 with Colleen to learn hardstyle kettlebells. Nearly 18 months later, I can say that was one of the best decisions (and investments!) I have ever made and never in a million years would I have known just how transformational her coaching has been not only for my fitness but for all areas of my life. (I actually apply her coaching strategies to my work at an office!) From the start, Colleen is very focused on technique and making sure you can do all the kettlebell fundamentals safely and effectively from the moment you pick them up, but what I love is that she always knows exactly when and how to progress you whether that’s in weight, reps or, skills so that you can see your strength and cardiovascular endurance increase quickly and continue to do so week after week. She combines formulas and science with getting to know her clients and students individually so that she can factor all of that in when supporting us in setting goals and building programs around those goals - whether that’s 1:1 coaching or in a group setting. In addition, she’s incredibly inspiring and I’ve learned to believe in and trust myself on a whole new level because of the way Colleen has believed in me and that way she's helped unlock potential I didn't know I had. I never would have believed I was capable of things I'm capable of today. People often ask me how kettlebells have made such a huge impact on my life and I always tell them...it's not the kettlebells themselves, it's the coaching I received from Colleen - the kettlebells are just the tools! 10/10 Getting stronger with Colleen

Before covid I was an active member of a gym doing a lot of HIIT classes, feeling good that I got through a 45 min session and going on my merry way. Once the gyms closed, I was lost; did a lot of online HIIT classes, some jumprope and running, but injured myself from not doing things properly. Even though I had a case of tennis elbow, Colleen took me on, and slowly I began to learn the way of the kettlebell. I learned to check my ego at the door, and work on form rather than how heavy or how quickly you can do things. I learned things I never thought I wanted to try or thought I could imagine doing. I learned about muscles I did not know existed. Most importantly I gained confidence and the knowledge that I could progress. I "sprinkled' in challenges here and there to see if I could do a bit more and am excited to see how far I've come from where I first started. Colleen is very aware of how her athletes are progressing, which, as a person who would take random classes, I am grateful for because she checks in on you. She is also someone who is candid about her own fitness journey, which I find to be inspiring. And who knew you could get a full body workout at home with a couple of iron bells! I am a full kettlebell convert, and will always have the skillset to get in a good sweat, thanks to Colleen.

What can I say about Colleen. She is extremely knowledgeable and attentive. I started working with her 8 months ago and she got me ready for my RKC! She adjusts to your needs and helps you set and achieve your goals. She is personable, friendly and funny! She will push and motivate you to be your best! I've trained with Colleen both in person and virtually and she is the real deal! As an experienced weightlifter, I trust her to help me get to the next level - whether it's rebuilding strength after injury, learnings new skills, cutting fat or just getting stronger in the ways I want, she’s been able to help. Colleen is also one of the kindest and most thoughtful trainers in the game; she actually pushes me to my limits while helping me keep my mind and mood calm and motivated. My life has changed after learning kettlebells from her and I wouldn’t be in the shape and fitness I am today, post pandemic, without her.

I chose "10" on the scale of 1 to 10 because you won't find anybody better than Colleen! Nobody! This is caring and willing teacher of life, fitness, health and (her specialty) kettlebells. Heck, I wasn't even swinging the damn thing the correct way until I met Colleen. Then, I thought she was nuts when she suggested purchasing a 24 kg and a 36 kg to do my swinging. A year and half later, I don't think she's nuts anymore. My progression in swinging these suckers has gotten me to the point that I feel comfortable enough to brag to others of what I can do (with videos to prove it)! I've learned that technique is ultra important. And Colleen will stop me in my tracks if she ever sees me modify the proper form. While most people believe the power from the kettlebell comes from your arms, it's truly all in the legs (and the hip hinge). It's the explosive nature of the swing and it is all in the way you inhale and exhale. All little things that I've learned along the way. Colleen will repeatedly ask you what your goals are and by hook or by crook, she will constantly stay on you until you reach them. Then, it's time for the next goal. Who knew you can teach an old dog new tricks. And on the eve of my 58th birthday, this old dog is learning a bunch of them! If change is what you're looking for, then you've come to right place! I highly, highly recommend Colleen. Thank you Colleen!

 
10/10 Couldn’t ask for a better kettlebell trainer!

Colleen is a great kettlebell trainer. She’s very good at listening to what your goals are and helping you achieve them. Along my journey in kettlebell training, my body changed here and there. Colleen took note of that and adjusted my training program to optimize performance without injuring myself. She’s also so positive. Every little improvement she calls a “win”. That really helped me look forward to improving my performance. I highly recommend Colleen as a kettlebell trainer!
