I have been using kettlebells for 3 years and have been to several of Dave's workshops from beginner to advanced. I learn something new every time. Dave always critiques and corrects any form problems I might have with the right mix of words and action. He is easy on the beginners and tough on the advanced. He knows what he's doing. I only wish I lived closer so I could attend more of his workshops.

Dave Randolph has been my martial arts instructor for 13 years. He introduced me to kettlebells four and a half years ago. Dave is a dynamic and effective teacher. His knowledge of kettlebells, and strength training techniques is extensive. Dave has helped me overcome the obstacles I face dealing with Cerebral Palsy. I am stronger than I have ever been. I have better balance and coordination. I stand taller, and walk better. I am also a capable, and accomplished martial artist that has succeeded at the local, state, and national levels of competition. As a beginning student working with Kettle bells, I was amazed at Dave's not only willingness but insistence on spending time alone with me in private sessions at the start to ensure that I developed proper form and technique before joining group classes. His focus on form upfront has has really made a difference for me, by giving me things to think about that improve my results in each exercise. His classes are very disciplined and intense, blended

I first met Dave while on an IT contract back in 2003. So when I started researching KBs, I looked on DD site for instructors in my area, NE Ohio. Then I happened to look in KY, my home state. After seeing Dave was a Team Leader for KY, I emailed him and asked if KBs were as good as everyone said. He emailed back and said yes. So, I bought one in July of last year. One year later I now have 7 KBs, and I am within 10-15 lbs of what I weighed my senior year of High School. What still amazes me is the fact that I have never had an actual session with Dave, but he answers all my email questions and even checks my blog and offers advice. An awesome display of professionalism.

Dave's introduction to the Kettlebell seminar was Outstanding. Worth every penny! His attention to detail, teaching, ability to clearly communicate with students,and knowledge of proper ketttlebell techniques was impressive. I've recommended Dave to the fellow kettlebell users I work with.
Dave was able to identify and correct "bad habits" I had developed over years of solo Kettlebell training in my basement. I wish I would have gone to him for help years ago. I will attending more Dave Randolph classes.
After 48 hours since Dave's class and two KB practice sessions my back feels 100% better!

Before I started Kettlebells, I did Bikram's Hot Yoga four to five days a week for eight and a half years. I thought I was in great shape--too bad I also developed osteopenia. I thought I should try a more weight bearing exercise. Not only have I developed one unbelievable set of "guns", my entire body has become stronger.
My main passion in life is riding horses. I have two which I Fox Hunt. To keep these horses in shape takes a lot of work. Since I have done kettlebells, it has become so much easier because my legs and core muscles are so strong.--Personally, I can not say enough wonderful things about Dave's kettlebell classes.

My experience with Iron Body Fitness has been a great one. My husband is the one that discovered Dave's website, and with much fear of the unknown, we signed up for the Foundations course on January 8th.
Since then I have consistently hit an average of three classes a week. With those workouts, and some slight modifications to my diet, I have dropped over twenty pounds and twelve and a half inches off my body. I feel better and stronger than ever. I belonged to a traditional gym for over two years and was never able to stay motivated and work out consistently. The small group sizes at Iron Body Fitness mean my absence from class is noticed. I began looking for an alternative workout when I no longer had the desire to do the same old workout that I had used in the past. You know body part splits several days a week, followed by being bored out your mind on the treadmill or elliptical for 45 minutes or longer. I had become sedentary in my job and at home over the past few years and the pounds just started piling on. As a 43 year old father I knew I had to do something about it when my doctor put me on a CPAP machine because of my sleep apnea. I never really weighed myself mainly because the scale stopped @ 300. When I went to the Dr. I was shocked to find I weighed in at 340 lbs. If I kept up at this pace I would be like my father, dead @ 51. I knew I needed to make some drastic changes. But I needed to find a different way to workout that kept me motivated and hungry for more. I also needed to change my diet and eating habits. My goal is to lose 115 lbs. of unnecessary body fat.
I had heard of Crossfit from some friends. I started doing some research and found Iron Body Fitness here in Louisville. I e-mailed Dave and we set up an introductory lesson. I was very excited to find something that would give me the benefit of strength training as well as a cardiovascular workout. I immediately signed up for the foundations course. This gave me a good basis for how to properly perform the various kettlebell lifts. I will tell you that my body was not used to this type of activity and I found myself needing to take it slowly at times. That is the thing I really like about Dave and his style - you work at your own pace. After I finished the foundations course a few weeks ago, I started taking the regular workout classes. In about 5 weeks, I've gone from barely able to finish a workout to keeping up with the rest of the class. I've gone from using the lighter kettlebells to progressively heavier bells for most of the movements. And the best part is I have lost 22 pounds and am almost a quarter of the way to my goal in a little over a month. My energy levels are way up as well. I no longer get home and am so beat all I want to do is crap out on the couch till bed time. I also had my pressure level reduced on my CPAP and will be able to come off of it entirely when I hit a 50 lb loss the Dr. says.
I want to thank Dave and Iron Body Fitness for helping me on the road to reaching my goals. He has made it fun and challenging as well as never boring. It's been a huge part of my success.

I recently attended one of Dave's workshops it was incredibly helpful. Dave explained all of the basic kettle bell lifts and swings as well as other exercise that I was completely unfamiliar with. His teaching style is very relaxed and informative, question where encouraged and answered in great detail. Dave also seems to have a well round approach to kettle bells and fitness.

While I was down in Louisville for a training seminar with work, my RKS Instructor Cole Summers directed me to the Dragon Door.com website and I found Dave's contact information and class schedule. I have to say it was a very intense workout but enjoyable at the same time. Dave's got a great technique and program and his classes are a comfortable atmosphere to come too. The instruction provided by Dave was top notch. He quickly cleared up any problems and/or questions I had with form or technique. He showed a variety of ways in which to not only perform the workouts but also other concentration points of the exercise.
I found his teaching methods to be very laid back focusing more on getting you to perform the exercises correctly than just running you through a four hour Kettlebell work out. I feel I now have the tools to effectively train with the Kettlebell. Thanks Dave.

As an active tennis player, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu player and mother of 5, I have found Dave's kettlebell classes to be the best for helping me feel better and more balanced. His classes have improved my physique, strength, agility, coordination, flexibility, mobility and in general my overall sense of well-being.

My introduction to conditioning through KB's was a great experience because of Dave Randolph. Dave's coaching/teaching methods produced a great learning atmosphere. Dave 's knowledge of the KB techniques was evident after his very first demonstration. I like the way he monitored the students. He made sure that the techniques were done in proper form so that there were no injuries. I like the way he e-mailed us the next day to inquire about our aches and pains. I attended a 4 hour intoductory Kettlebell workshop recently with Dave. While I've watched DVDs and practiced various exercises on my own, Dave's attention to detail really clarified what I need to work on and how to get the most out of the exercises. Within 24 hours of the seminar Dave followed up with all of the students in the class to make sure everyone was feeling well, and offered answers to any questions. I can tell that Dave not only knows physical fitness and training well, he also enjoys teaching. I plan on visiting this gym/school again soon!

I have had the pleasure of knowing Dave for quite a few years. His strength comes from his ability to pass along instruction with full clarity. Make no mistake and have no doubts. If you want good, concise information on how to use kettlebells, his instruction is second only to Pavel's himself. I would say that this is probably why Pavel chose him as a Team Leader and I am sure it won't stop there.
Dave is a very dedicated individual to Kettlebell, Crossfit and Traditional Chinese Martial Arts. He has excelled in every aspect of fitness training and instruction that is beneficial to individuals of any profession. He takes his workouts seriously and is very conscientious in his training sessions.

I have not been working out for the last 1 1/2 years and started with the lightest weight, resting frequently and still I worked my heart, my abds, my thighs and it is worth it. I walked away from the beginners class ready to rebuild my strength and endurance. Technique is everything to get the most from any workout and with a busy work schedule I can do kettlebells while watching spongebob! Yeah! Dave includes nutrition, form, history, anatomy and physiology in the lecture/practice giving me a better idea of how it all works together.
