10/10 FINALLY

By Jordan / St. Paul, MN

Finally, something that can compete with my ADD and boredom from working out: Kinetic Edge Fitness a.k.a. KETTLEBELLS as changed not only my workout routine but my physique. I was introduced to Kettlebells by the owner Brad Nelson approx 4 months ago. Since I have become a dedicated participant in his classes (I might add I have yet to attend a class that was the same as another). Brad creates a new workout for every class, there is no routine at his facility just "the beatdown" catered to the abilities of each participant. Thank you Brad - for your dedication to me and each of your clients!

10/10 Kettlebell Gravity Fighter!

By Barb / Medina

As a woman in my late 50's, I have always been physically active and have tried several workout programs/clubs and trainers with no success in finding one that inspired me to workout on a regular basis, until I met Brad and his kettlebell training system.

An overall great guy, Brad's energizing positive attitude and motivational style is contagious. The encouraging atmosphere of individualized, personal achievement in his Kinetic Edge studio is fun and safe.

The benefits I enjoy from Brad's kettlebell training skills and routines are so vital to my "aging body" are many including: increased flexibility, cardio, weight training, core strength and balance. As a result, my alpine skiing and golfing skills and endurance have increased significantly.

So, it's well worth my time and I look forward to my weekly drive from Wayzata to Woodbury for my personalized workouts and the resulting changes to my body's appearance.

10/10 Exactly what I was looking for!!

By Dena / Woodbury, MN

After giving birth to my daughter I had lost all muscle tone and definition I once had and gained 40 pounds. I was unhappy and knew I needed something above and beyond my regular workouts to get back into shape. I committed myself to Brad's workouts and my life has changed forever from the exercises he has shared with Kettlebells. Brad completely dedicates his time and energy to helping you achieve your personal goals and is extremely motiviting (getting me to his classes at 5:30am!!). He expertise and knowledge in Kettlebells, nutrition, over all health and well being is priceless and I feel very fortunate to work with a trainer with all the strengths and qualities that he posses. He knows how to mix up a workout to keep you on your toes and pushing yourself to do your best. Thank you Brad for all you've done to help me reach my goals...I couldn't have done it with out you!! You are the BEST and I would recommend your services hands down to anyone that will listen!!

10/10 Difference Maker

By Mark / Vinton, Ia

Brad's tank is always full! In my opinion, over time many Personal Trainers just go through the motions. Not Brad. Good luck finding a person who is more willing to learn and challenge himself than Brad Nelson. When I made the decision to start training for the June 2007 RKC I chose Brad to help get me prepared. Even though we live 300 miles apart Brad was able to design a program that would allow me to get in the best shape of my life. Thanks to Brad I too am now an RKC.

10/10 Results are what counts!

By Tommy Zerse / Orange City, IA

Brad approaches instruction with compassion, humility, and honesty. His gym is filled with people like me who all have a different starting place, but a similar goal.
Brad put the accountability for the work on me, but provides every resource, instruction, and motivational help to enable me to reach my goals.
In 3 months of Brad's bootcamp, I reached most of my goals that I had set prior to starting. I continue now to reach them all, and based on experience, I know it will happen. If numbers are what make sense, I lost 4 inches off my waist and 22 lb total.

10/10 Manages to keep a Type A marathoner injury-free!!

By Chris Hesse-Withbroe / Lake Elmo, MN

I sought out Brad as a trainer because I was so sick and tired of being injured from long distance running all the time. Brad has been simply amazing! Through a combination of kettlebell and Z-health training, he has kept me injury free this marathon training cycle and has helped me to improve my endurance, speed, running form and economy. He understands my Type A personality and protects me from myself (as we runners tend to be the stubborn-type!) I know I had a lot of muscle imbalance issues prior to training with Brad and now I am so pleased with how much stronger and healthier I feel when running. I never thought I'd be able to qualify for the Boston Marathon, but I am confident that Brad will get me there -- and most importantly, get me there WITHOUT needing physical therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy and pain relievers and confident in my ability to run fast and long! As an added bonus, Brad is fun to work with -- he can make me smile and laugh even when I am working out hard and he is not afraid to tell me when my running training plan is ridiculous and setting me up for injury. My husband is amazed that I"m actually listening to someone else's advice when it comes to training! In fact, a running friend of mine asked me how many weeks until my next marathon. When I said it is 3 weeks away, she replied, "What ????, you're not injured -- what the heck are you doing differently?" Brad has definitely made the difference! Thanks Brad!

10/10 Look forward to the BEATDOWNS!

By Jonny / Mendota Heights

I have been going to Brad and Kinetic Edge Fitness for about a year now and I can tell you that Brad is an EXCELLENT instructor! I have seen increases in strength and decreases in back pain. I wish I could have met Brad ten years ago instead of wasting money on other gyms and trainers who DON'T CARE! I would recommend Brad and Kinetic Edge to anyone who is serious about fitness. Brad has top quality instructors at Kinetic Edge who along with him are approachable, knowledgeable, and provide you excellent feedback. Every workout is challenging, never boring, and never repeated. Since going to Kinetic Edge everything else in life is becoming "Easy."
Thanks Brad!

10/10 Kettlebells & Climbing

By Joe Tebbe / White Bear Lake, MN USA

Five years ago I couldn't hike 500 feet in the mountains without losing my breath. I knew I had to change my life style and take extreme measures to recapture my youth. I found Brad Nelson and kettlebells and he helped me strip 95 lbs. of fat from my body. Brad's instruction in kettlebells has redefined my life. To this day I still train kettlebells at Brads gym and continue to grow stronger. Once again I'm back climbing, in the gym I climb grade 5.10's consistently, outdoors I lead climb and trad lead grade 5.8. In the winter I ice climb grade WI5, which is essentially vertical ice. I've climbed a 560 feet WI5, frozen waterfall in Colorado. Brad is currently training me for the Tactical Strength Challenge in April 2010. My strength and endurance gains continue to improve and I am consistently setting new personal records and goals. Brad and his instruction, encouragement and kick ass workouts changed my life. I only wish I met him earlier. Did I mention my age is 56 and I no longer use the word "old". Thank you Brad !

10/10 Knows His Stuff

By Chris Krieg / Shakopee, MN

I attended a small workshop/instruction that Brad gave and it was phenomenal. I had been doing kettlebell once a week for about a year so I thought I had a good idea of what I was doing but Brad broke everything down and improved my form dramitically. Since than I have been getting much more out of my kettlebell workouts and have expanded what exercises I was doing. I plan to go to Brad's facility in Woodbury to continue to get instruction.
Brad is a great teacher and motivator. He is all about a good workout with out the frills. Kettlebells have to be one of the best workouts available today.

10/10 Fantastic trainer's workshop

By Anna / Shakopee, MN USA

Brad held a workshop to help instructors better teach kettlebells to their clients... it was very thorough and informative with a huge emphasis on form and proper technique. As an instructor, I truly appreciated his honesty, feedback and the effort he put into training our group of instructors.

10/10 Obviously Passionate and Focused

By Julie Einhorn / Excelsior, MN

I am brand new to kettle bells and recently attended an eye opening kettlebell training workshop with Brad and found him to be articulate, and with an obvious depth of knowledge for kettlebell training, fitness and healthy living. Having taught group fitness classes for some 27 years I marvelled at how Brad conducted this session with no written materials, awesome demonstrations and encouragement for great form. He also shared knowledge regarding pain relief and posturing. I would encourage anyone interested in this type of training to attend a session with Brad for excellent instruction in form to avoid injury and get the most benefit from kettlebell training. Thank you Brad for the great session and hats off to you also for your choice in Kurt as an assistant trainer he was a great coteacher/demonstrator. I would love to have had a handout with some of his great cueing words of wisdom to recall posture, form and technique.

10/10 Best Strength Coach on Earth !

By Joe Tebbe / White Bear Lake, MN USA

Brad was the first to introduce me to kettlebells at his gym Kinetic Edge Fitness. His instruction, coaching and mentorship over the past 3 years have changed my life. I have regained and then some the strength of my youth of 30 years ago. I never thought it would be possible to get into the shape I am now in, at 56 years of age. Old is no longer a word I use its only a state of mind. Brad and his kick ass training programs, has transformed me into a strong and confident person.

10/10 SHOES

By Amy Dudley/Big Mama / Medina, Ohio

I met Brad at Level II this past June....let's just say things have definitely changed since 5 months ago! I have not only improved my kettlebell knowledge and strength, but with his encouragement and help I am proudly changing people's lives with proper nutrition/Advocare in the Buckeye State. I am stronger and leaner than I have ever been at age 38, mother of 4, co-owner of BBOM and with a husband who travels full time thanks to an individual who is truly passionate about helping others. Brad is the real deal, a true friend and someone I'm blessed to have as a part of my family.

10/10 You Can Crank It Too !

By Tom Heafey / Chanhassen, MN

I met Brad at the 1st Grip&Rip seminar. The first exercise we did was a dead lift. Brad saw an asymmetry wtih my hips. A few Z-Health exercises later(a few minutes)I was much better. Using what he taught me, I have eliminated that problem completely. I also built my strength and conditioning to a level that greatly helped me achieve the RKC level 1 cert. Brad has since critiqued several other advanced kettlebell movements for me, and that will help me prepare for the RKC II cert.

Brad a no BS type of guy and can definately "walk the talk". If you're looking for a trainer that is as good as they get, contact Brad.

10/10 Brad Gives You the Tools YOU Need

By David Dellanave / Minneapolis, MN

I started training with Brad when I was lost in a sea of programs, techniques, and methods. As much as I "knew" about training I didn't know what plan to stick to and I kept moving and changing. The result was that I never really knew if I was making progress or not. Brad laid out an exceedingly simple plan for me. Simple, but not easy.

14 weeks later I competed in my first TSC. I set a 40lb personal record in the deadlift and I probably had another 10 to 20lbs in me had I known how much I would crush it. Not only that, but I can do pull-ups with 75lbs added weight which leaves me only 25lbs shy of my goal of 100.

As a aside - at the same TSC I watched several of his "fat loss" clients put up astonishing numbers for people who didn't train for the TSC at all. He also can boast 2 division winners from his gym - both people not training for the TSC specifically.

Brad's programming and knowledge is absolutely unparalleled. He instinctively knows what his clients abilities AND needs are without guessing or second-guessing himself. If you let Brad build your plan, and YOU put in the work you WILL achieve the goals you want to achieve. It's that simple, but frankly I don't think you can do the same without him.

10/10 Enter . . . the Kettlebell!

By Krissy Swearingen / Woodbury, MN

After the c-section birth of my son 2 years ago, I wasn't quite sure I'd be able to get my "old" body back. When he was 10 months old I took up running again and decided to train for Twin Cities Marathon. I thought it would whip me back into shape. I did lose weight, but I couldn't do a proper pushup and I had hardly any upper body strength. I really wanted something different and challenging and I was tired of feeling "skinny fat".

Enter . . . the KETTLEBELL! Kinetic Edge/Kettlebells/Brad Nelson has changed my idea of what a REAL workout is. It's not for sissy's! And even if you are a sissy, Brad will help you :-) I had been lifting with a personal trainer for 4 years and didn't build up the strength or definition I've had working with Brad. I had no idea what I was doing when I started. His ability to teach and make adjustments to my form to where I fully understood what I was supposed to be doing was amazing.

I've been with Kinetic Edge for 7 months now! Brad is motivating and so positive. Once he said to me "allow yourself to go heavier today". In the end it's all about what I'm going to do when I'm there, but he's going to let you know when you're slackin'!

Besides kettlebells, Brad knows a lot about nutrition, supplements and most important to me, cleansing and detoxing. That is the field I work in and I have clients in all the time who are trying to start a new lifestyle and just be well. I would HIGHLY recommend Brad to any of my clients, and those that have gone to him have seen results.

Thank you Brad! Thanks for having the BEST Kettlebell gym in MN (or anywhere!).

OH! And check out his youth training too! My 12 year old spent his summer training at Kinetic Edge and we've seen tremendous improvements out on the football field!!! AMAZING! (I'm talking an average of 2 td's per game, crazy!)

Thanks, and Release!

10/10 Brad helped me out big time

By Jedd Johnson, CSCS / Bradford County Pennsylvania

Brad's instructions helped bring my thumb back closer to 100%. I compete in Grip strength competitions and I have been chasing a World Record in the 2 hands pinch for 5 seasons. I had been having debilitating thumb pain which has kept me from lifting 220 lbs. After doing a handful of exercises that Brad suggested, I was recently able to set a brand new United States Two Hands Pinch record of 249-lbs and nearly set a new World Record of 255-lbs in my last competition. Thank you very much for your suggestions and support!

9/10 HKC

By Sam Kennedy / Liberty, NC

Brad is knowledgeable in the small details of technique that are necessary for good performance. I appreciate him for holding a high level of standard for the RKC! This is what I needed.

10/10 Awesome!

By Tracy Songe / St. Paul, MN USA

Brad is phenomenal! He is such a great person, not to mention an awesome instructor. He is genuine in his quest for people to reach their potential and to have fun in the process. He keeps things fresh with a variety of workouts and pushes you to meet your goals whatever level you are at. The workouts are tough but they make you stronger both physically and mentally.

10/10 Trained with Brad while on trip to MN.

By Gary Music / Mansfield, Ohio

I travel to the Minneapolis area to visit my son. I trained with Brad for a 10 day period and it was an excellent experience. There is a very convenient 5:30 class so you can get your workout in quick and get on with the day invigorated from the short yet intense workouts. Not too mention you are being trained by a Senior RKC instructor, not a common opportunity so I tried to make every class I could.

The workouts were organized by names like gauntlet and burn out. There is also a beginner's course to help with get the victim started. My son and I took this class together and it was a great experience.

There is a class for younger people in school athletics called Edge also. This class is exactly what I had in mind for my son. He is small for his age and loves playing football, so he needs strength, quickness and stamina.

And drills that make training fun like pounding a tire with a big sledge hammer. There is also a heavy bag, a rare training tool in most fitness gyms, but a vital tool for a striker.

I plan to train at the Kinetic gym on all my trips to MN, and my son and his mother are signing up in November. Everyone is very excited.

Also I would like to mention Brad's assistants Dena, Kurt and Jill. Excellent trainers and the classes were outstanding. Good job to all, see you in May when I come up for the CKFMS.

10/10 Exceptional Training, from an Exceptional Teacher

By Sunny Schultz, RKC / Mount Vernon, IA

In April of 2009, I dove into the daunting world of the RKC certification in St. Paul. I was slightly terrified, not knowing what kind of torture I was in for. Upon arriving, I learned that I was on Team Nelson and though I wasn't aware of it at the time, Brad's technique, kindness and quiet training skills, would transform the way I approach kettlebell as a student and a trainer. I was immediately overjoyed with the fact that Brad (despite his intimidating certifications/qualifications and abilities) was incredibly patient, and precise with his corrections and feedback. At the same time he required me to push myself when I felt like I was falling apart and did so in such a way, I was able to correct my form and push my body in ways I didn't believe possible and smile while doing so.
I honestly believe that his high expectations of his students is unmatched, causing his students to listen and remember the techniques and skills he teaches, making better RKC's of all you study and train with him.
What has been even more impressive and wonderful about Brad as a trainer, is how accessible he is to his students. When I have a question, concern or feel stuck, I can shoot him an email and he responds via internet or phone almost immediately. I feel honored and incredibly lucky to have trained with Brad. He is one of a kind and my education with him is far from over!

10/10 If you live in MN, you NEED to see Brad!

By Fabiana O'Brien / Ashland, MA

I met Brad this past April in St.Paul at the RKC. Our first "workout" together was the Snatch Test where he immdiately was able to identify my mobility and T-Spine issues, which I never knew I had! He kept a watchful eye over me that weekend and gave me one-on-one attention to make improvements. He put the entire group through what I thought was the toughest and most grueling workout of all the team leaders. I now enjoy following Brad's website, he has tons of information out there. He is the real deal! If you live closeby, don't miss out on the opportunity to work with Brad. I wish I could!

10/10 My man crush

By Andrew Read / Melbourne, Australia

How highly do I rate Brad?

First, some background on me to help qualify my testimonial -

I've been a PT for 18 years and lecture around Australia. I'm an RKC. In short, I've seen a lot of trainers and very few good ones.

When I made plans to attend the June RKC Brad was one of the guys on my hit list to visit. As a Senior RKC/ Z health guru there were many questions I wanted answers to and he seemed just the guy.

My initial enquiries were dealt with punctually and professionally - a quality sorely lacking from most trainers.

Upon meeting Brad I was happier still. He just oozes professionalism and knowledge. His Z assessment was great. I have had some pretty big injuries in the past including tearing my right hamstring off the bone. Brad's Z work got me to a hands flat on the ground toe touch within 30 minutes.

After marvelling at his knowledge and his ability to twist Z drills to suit the individual I stuck around to train with one of his group sessions. All I'm going to say is WOW! It takes a great trainer to get a group of 30 people all going hard. Not only that but after training he gave a 2 hour talk about nutrition and fat loss - FOR FREE!

Brad proved himself to be a great, genuine guy with tons of knowledge and experience and a personality that allows him to bring his gifts to the surface. He makes a great benchmark for how RKCs should behave as well as sets a great example for his clients on how to live the lifestyle to achieve all round fitness and health. If you want to see how I felt about it the night I met him, go here: http://relentlesspt.wordpress.com/2009/06/11/rkc-trip-1-my-new-man-crush/

10/10 The only instructor to ever motivate me to get out of bed at 4:45 am!

By Kelly / Hastings, MN

In short, Brad is a fantastic instructor! I have been going to kettlebell classes at Kinetic Edge for almost a year now, and I am still as excited about it now as I was when I first started. I am an "average jane" age-group triathlete who has never quite been able to peel myself out of bed at 4:45 am to train until I started going to KE. It's so much fun! Brad fosters a great sense of comraderie in his classes, while at the same time pushing us all to do our best. I am much stronger now than I was a year ago, and am finally starting to get some actual muscle shape in these legs! I need to get my eating under control this fall, and I know that Brad is just the man to "help" me! :) I've been to a lot of classes at a lot of gyms over the years, and Brad is the best, hands down.

10/10 Wow! What a Workout!

By Jeff / Cottage Grove

The classes at Kenetic Edge are by far the best total body workouts you can get in under an hour. Plus they are fun! I used to spend twice the amount of time doing my old routine at the gym-with less results. Brad and Kurt push and encourage you to do your best. They also continue to help improve your form so you are doing the exercises correctly. I highly recommend Brad Nelson and Kenetic Edge.

10/10 Awesome Workout with an Awesome Trainer

By Laura / Stillwater, Minnesota

I only have done one week of kettlebell workouts and already I feel 10 times better about my body. The workout facility is comfortable and the times offered by the facility work perfect for my schedule. Brad Nelson exceeded my expectations as a trainer because he knows everything you need to know about kettlebell exercises as well as fitness and health in general. Brad is able to challenge you without making you feel uncomfortable. He also believes 100% in kettlebell training and makes you believe and be motivated before you walk out the door on your first day. You rock Brad!

10/10 Awesome Workouts Real Results

By Laura / Woodbury, MN

I started working out with Kettlebells about 2 months ago. I've been a group fitness instructor for 15 years and have been a fairly serious weight lifter for about 5. After the club I worked at closed, decided to try Kettlebells to "mix up" my routine at the urging of my neighbors who are regulars at Kinetic Edge. After the first week I was hooked! Brad is probably the best trainer I've worked with. His ability to teach safe and proper technique is amazing and he always makes sure you are doing everything with perfect form. You are constantly challenged in a safe, motivating way and the workouts are always different so there is never the element of boredom. I rarely hit the weight room for dumbell training anymore and don't miss it! And as an added bonus, my back and shoulders are in much better shape according to my massage therapist! No more painful massages! Brad rocks!

10/10 Great Workout, Great Trainer

By Tammy / St. Paul, MN

I was new to Kettlebells when I found Brad and Kinetic Edge. All I can say is wow. It was one of the toughest workouts I've even had!! Brad is friendly and patient with us newbies, but unforgiving when it comes to hard work. He knows what it takes to get in shape and sincerly wants his clients to see results and reach their goals!! He checks in when you "miss" class to keep you on track.

10/10 Kick Butt Workouts!

By Suzanne / Woodbury, MN

I've been taking classes from Brad for just over 3 months now and feel great. After lifting weights for a couple of years I wanted to try something different. Brad's club was featured in the St. Paul Pioneer Press and I called him up. He offered to let me try an intro class and I was hooked. I never worked out this hard just lifting weights, wow! These workouts are kick butt...in a good way. Brad will also work with you on a nutrition plan to maximize results. Awesome workouts - great guidance - smart guy - fun place to workout!

10/10 The best trainer I've ever met!

By Emma Berryman / Stillwater, MN

Brad is so motivating, inspiring, and smart. He has the answer to any and every fat burning, muscle gaining, weight loss question you could ever ask him... and if he doesn't, he'll find out for you! He holds everyone accountable for their weight loss journey, and is always there to give you advice to get you back on track. His classes are challenging and fun. After every class I take, I walk away thinking "I can't believe I just did that!" Makes you feel really good knowing that there's someone there to guide you and push you to your fullest potential. That's how you really get results! Brad is the best - simple as that!!

10/10 I Wish I Would Have Found Him Sooner!!!!

10/10 Great Teacher!

By Mike P / Mahnomen, MN

I have been working out with kb's on and off for a couple of years and decided that as a challenge to myself I would sign up for the upcoming HKC. In order not to embarrass myself I felt a few lessons with an RKC would be in order. I heard Brad on one of the telephone interviews through DragonDoor and felt he would be a good choice. This turned out to to be an understatement. Brad is very knowledgeable in all facets of training w/ kb's and was able pretty quickly to iron out the rough edges on my swing and TGU form. I still may not pass the cert but it won't be because I didn't get good instruction. Brad is great.

10/10 The Real Deal!

By Mitch K. / St. Paul, MN USA

It's rare to meet someone with the kind of knowledge Brad has about fitness. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to work with him personally, and I am thankful for the many things that I have already learned from him. You can't deny results, and thats what Brad is all about. He is the real deal!

10/10 Undeniable

By D / Minneapolis, MN USA

The best instructor I've ever met. Brad knows his stuff. If you want results and a proper education, go train with Brad

10/10 Top Notch!

By Kurt / St. Paul, MN USA

Brad has changed my approach towards fitness. The quality of his instruction is second to none. If you haven't had a class with Brad, you're missing out. I've seen more results in the short time I've been training with Brad than I have in my many years of training. If you're in the area, DON'T PASS UP THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET IN THE BEST SHAPE OF YOUR LIFE!

10/10 Memorable Team Leader

By James Demuynck / Vancouver, BC Canada

Brad was my Team leader at the April, 2009 RKC in St. Paul. With his help I survived the weekend and earned my RKC. His attention to detail and knowledge of the RKC system and technique was outstanding. It was very motivating for me to meet a fitness professional with the knowledge and the ability to apply that knowledge that Brad had. This was my very first certification in my career as a fitness professional, and I don't think I could have found a better Team Leader to start me on the right track. Brad thank you for making this weekend so amazing. It will be hard to find another certification that compares to this.

10/10 Awesome team leader

By Shari Wagner, RKC / Aurora, CO

Brad was my team leader at the April 2009 RKC. I would not be an RKC instructor today if it weren't for Brad. He was a wonderful instructor and motivator and was encouraging not only to me but to each of his team members. He truly is a master at kettlebell technique and I felt priveledged to learn from him. I think he may have impressed me the most when he was humble enough to call in another team leader to help give me some different cues to help correct my snatch technique. Anyone seeking out Brad for training will not regret it!

10/10 Pavel brought kettles to US, but Brad brought it to me!

By Bryan Boyd / FORT WORTH, TX USA

Brad enabled me to become a RKC! Without him, there is no way that I could have succeeded and excelled at the Minnesota April RKC! Since Pavel is the guru, Brad Nelson is the high priest in my opinion!! Brad enabled me to have THE most incredible experience of my life, which is the RKC!!! Come train with him and metamorphize your body, spirit, and life!!

10/10 What a Team Leader !

By Lori Boswell - RKC, CFT / Conshohocken, PA

I met Brad at the 2009 RKC Minneapolis and was lucky enough to have him as my team leader! What great motivation he gave to our entire team. He is a master of technique and form! He did a great job keeping you focused on your goal and knew how to push you to achieve that goal! I'll never forget my experience with Team Nelson! Thanks Brad!

10/10 A great team leader, instructor, and motivator!

By Bobby Spencer / Martinsville, VA

As my team leader at the April 09 RKC, Brad was not only extremely knowledgeable in diagnosing and adjusting technique flaws but also extremely supportive and motivational. His passion for kettlebells and all things involving physical culture, including Z-Health, is obvious and I learned so much from him in "just" 3 days of training. In the process of becoming an RKC, I could not have been assigned to a better group than Team Nelson.

10/10 Should of Changed my routine earlier

By Travis Stuckey / Sioux Falls, SD

I went to Grip and Rip 1.0 with Brad Nelson and Adam Glass in January, all I can say is wow. It has been a few months since I have implemented my new training plan and I am in better shape than ever. I thought I was in good shape before, I ride a ton of miles on my bike and use to hit the gym a few times a week. I was wrong in a few months I have two times the muscle definition then before and the strength too. Thanks for the great training advice and a direction full of PR after PR. If you are ever have a chance to work with Brad make sure too or you will regret it.

10/10 No back pain!

By Kathryn Kritta / Woodbury, MN

I have been a catious exerciser for many years due to low back pain. After my first workout with Brad, I had some good muscle soreness in my legs, but my low back was painfree for 2 days! I was very happy with Brad's instruction and speed of progression for me within the beginner group. I am very thankful that Brad has taken his valuable time to give back to the community. Many thanks from the Globe University Health Fitnes Specialist Program.

10/10 Thanks for another "beat down" Brad!

By Steve / New Brighton, MN USA

This is the second time that I had an opportunity to take a kettlebell class with Brad. The first time I was forced to come, the second time I lined up to come. Both times I came away extremely sore, which is pretty good considering I work out regularly. Brad really pushes people to their limits, and he does it is such a way that everyone is challenged, from the newbies, to the physically fit. Even though he does group classes, he will notice if a person is doing something wrong, and will come over and help that person. Brad also uses his Z-Health knowledge to help people with their chronic pain, and I am always fascinated at how he does it. Thanks again Brad!

10/10 I loved the Kettlebells workout!!!

By Kyla / St. Paul, MN USA

I had an amazing workout with Brad. I've never used Kettlebells before and was a little hesitant to try them considering I wasn't very educated about them. I thought everything was taught very well and he made sure everyone was doing the exercises correctly. I will be doing more Kettlebell workouts in the future, I loved it, I'm a person who likes to challenge my body with new things and I was very happy to have a workout that could work every part of my body! I'm eager to challenge myself even more! Thanks for an awesome workout:)

9/10 Kettlebells!!!

By Kevin / Woodbury

I have been working out for a very long time, lifting weights, boxing classes, and aerobic fitness and I can say that Kettelbells is one fo the best workouts I have ever done. It is a great full body, cardiovascular workout. Brad is the perfect instructor to teach the class. He is a hard nose, no b.s. instructor that has knows alot about fitness. He is the type of instructor that brings out the best in you. I would suggest Kettlebells for anyone who is looking to increase their fitness level.

10/10 I'm hooked on Kettlebells

By CJ / Minneapolis, MN

Loved class, really wish he had a western suburbs location. Been weight training, aerobic exercise for years. think this regime could provide more benefit than what I currently do. Brad worked well with all levels in the class that day. Thanks for a great workout

10/10 WOW! Beatdown? Yes! Fun? Yes!

By Jess / Osceola, WI

Brad, thank you so much for the great workout. I had never done anything so hard, but fun in my life. Even after one workout I could definitely see how people are having such awesome results with your workouts. Not only do you get a great workout, but with that you get a great trainer. Brad really nows what he is doing and makes sure that you know how to properly do it as well. This is definitely more than your average day at the gym. What people need to loose weight is discipline and excitement. Definitely, Brad will give you that. It may sound harsh, but once your there with him you can tell that he is genuinely a good guy that wants to help you be a better you.

10/10 Kettleball Novice

By Cherie / Minneapolis, MN USA

I consider myself an active person (61 years old, marathon runner) but because of frozen shoulder syndrome I have not been able to lift weights for 2 years. When an introductory class became available I decided it would be a good way to find out what this new fitness craze was about. Brad was a delight to encounter - his gentle but "can do" teaching philosophy inspired me to get the most of the class that I could. He later used me to demonstrate to the class how the concepts of Z Health could improve my shoulder condition. After helping me stretch my ANKLES I could move my shoulders significantly farther than I have done in 2 years. So even if you think you can't - he will show you how you CAN!

10/10 kettlebell neophyte

By Lisa / Minneapolis, MN

I'd never heard of kettlebells and went with some friends to an introduction class. Brad was enthusiastic, kind, and very informative about the origins of kettlebells and the workout community. I am a 42-year-old woman in good physical shape. There was one excercise I opted not to do because of a knee condition. However, after everything Brad taught and explained to us, I believe I could eventually work up to that. Unfortunately it is too far for me to go on a regular basis, but I would recommend that anyone with even a lttle interest should check it out.

10/10 Excellent Instructor

By Mike Kjelland / Alexandria, MN

I was very impressed with the presentation and group training that Brad provided for our 2nd year Health and Fitness students at his facility. Brad is to be complimented for his style, methods, organization and motivating instructional skills. The students were very impressed and have a new respect for the level of training that Brad provides. This will be an annual return trip for the students in our program here at Alexandria Technical College.

10/10 Excellent Workout!! Plan on being sore!

By Derek Griffin / Woodbury, MN USA

I was able to complete an hour session with Brad at his facility in Woodbury as a part of my Exercise Science class at Globe University. I had never used kettle bells before for any other work out...and now because of Brad's excellent training and facility i am hooked!!! He is very knowledgeable in the fitness field and is an excellent trainer for kettle bells. He showed us how to use proper form and technique with the kettle bells to be safe and get the best work out we can from them, and we sure did!! I could hardly walk the next day!! which is awesome because I rarely get a good enough work out anymore to make me sore the next day, and being sore means your body is repairing itself and building muscle!! I cant wait to learn more kettle bell techniques and hopefully attend another class with Brad as our trainer!!

9/10 Terrific Class and workout!

By Greg Lee / Mendota Heights, MN

Knowledgeable guy. Fast paced and fun.

10/10 Life Altering

By Benjamin Bulera / St. Croix Beach, MN USA

When I was introduced to Kinetic Edge for the first time I wanted to continue to go but, I was traveling around the country every week.
I talked to Brad and he tried to encourage me to find a KB gym, not for me to keep coming to him, he inspired me to continue. I now am stationed close enough and I became a member of Brads gym. He unknowingly has helped me change not only my body but my mind. I desire to take the challenge to become an instructor.

Thanks Brad

10/10 I want to "look good naked" too! (grinning)

By Anita Schoniger / Osakis MN

I had the pleasure of accompanying a group of Health and Fitness students from Alexandria Technical college on a field trip to Kinetic Edge last week. Quite frankly, I'd taken another kettle bell class, but really didn't think it was something that appealled to me. All I can say is that after our 4 hour session with Brad, I now have an entirely different perspective on kettle bell training! Brad is an AWESOME instructor!! The thing that impressed me the most about Brad's class, was that he never tried to sell us anything. He simply presented the info. in a fun, interesting way and took a genuine interest in helping us learn the techniques. I enjoyed the class so much that I'm getting ready to order my own kettle bell, and will be taking classes from a friend in Alexandria. Thanks Brad, for helping me expand my horizons! You totally rock, dude!! (smiling)

10/10 A great opportunity for health and fitness students!

By Gail Jensen / Alexandria, MN

Alexandria Technical College Health and Fitness students recently had the chance to visit Brad Nelson at the Kinetic Edge Gym. We had limited instruction in kettlebells and hoped to learn more. Brad shared his expertise with us and was a true inspiration to the entire class. We were PUMPED after our session in spite of our physical fatigue!! Personally, I plan to eventually become certified in both RKC and Z-Health as a result of this awesome experience! The fact that he made the effort to learn our names also demonstrated the fact that he truly cares about his clients. I can't wait to attend another session!

10/10 A life altering experience!

By Benjamin Bulera / St. Croix Beach, MN

It really dose not matter where you are in life, when you discover something so new and incredible your appetite for life grows.

A good friend called me and begged me to get off my but and try this new thing called KETTLEBELLS, (What?). So, she convinced some trainer who opened a new gym in Woodbury, MN to open a free introductory class to her personal friends and family, the guy has to promote somehow, right. Naturally, I said sure, why pass up a free-bee. After all, I was 23 years of age and had to depend on myself for finding physical entities of enjoyment, mom and dad stopped helping me after high-school. Upon my entrance into this so called gym I initiate my scene size-up, this is no ordinary gym. It was an empty wide open space except for two steel frame shelving units that take up about one 100th of the space. The shelves held multiple kettlebells varying in size and weight. I then greet everyone I know and, meet BRAD NELSON. Brad briefly introduces himself, quickly explains the origin of kettlebells and says, NOW FOR THE FUN! I will never forget that experience, especially since it stuck with me for a week and a half later, (OUCH!). I actually loved it! I know that the burn from lactic acids coursing there way through my muscles is a good thing, there is such a thing as a good pain! I was not able to make a commitment right away to Brad at kinetic edge, I traveled a lot. It was about 6 months later that I had returned from a trail building job in the Catskill mountains of New York that I wanted to introduce kettlebells to a co worker/great friend of mine. We thought we were in really good shape after our trail work and we wanted to stay in shape so, I mentioned KINETIC EDGE and my life changed forever. At that point I decided that I wanted to continue promoting Brad, to tell everyone I meet about what he dose for peoples physical states. Everyone that was at the first introductory class with me that stuck with it had lost inches, pounds and increased confidence in themselves and, they all smile a lot more. These are people I have Known my whole life that were a friend, his mother and grandmother. I thought the older a person got the more pounds they put on. I literally watched Brad give these people the self esteem, confidence and courage that I saw them loosing through the years.

More evidence: I joined KINETIC EDGE and during my experience I encouraged my own 53 year old mother to try a class and to talk to Brad about some physical disabilities she was having. She has become stronger and much more versatile then she had been in years.

I now want to become an instructor myself, with the help of Brad I believe I will accomplish this dream. Brad is the best personal trainer I have ever come across and his techniques are the best. Give him a chance and decide for yourself, I encourage it, and so dose the woman that sees me naked !

Thanks Brad!

10/10 Worth every cent and a five hour drive!

By Mark Troester / Abrams, WI

I live in eastern Wisconsin and I drove 5 hours to get instruction with Brad. It was worth the trip! I've been training at home and just wanted to make sure my form and technique were correct. During the hour I spent with Brad, he was able to pick apart the flaws and help take my groove to the next level. I set a kettlebell clean and press 1RM PR at the instruction session just from the pointers he gave me after 5 minutes. For those of you in the late beginner and early intermediate level of skill as I am, go see Brad. You will not regret it. He has the technical acumen to help you achieve your goals. As an instructor, he was truly interested and enthusiastic during the training. I will be back soon!

10/10 A Master of his craft-Seek out Brad for new PRs!

By Adam Glass / Minot, ND

Brad is a class act and a true master trainer. Brad was able to quickly fix severe shoulder problems i have picked up with several simple Z-Health drills. After a day training with him, i have no doubts Brad is able to bring a person to peak condition and strength with intelligent program design and motivated instruction. Brads strength ,conditioning, and mobility is a strong testiment to his ability to break down barriers in athletic performance.

With my Highest recommendations--See Brad Nelson when your ready to take your power to its true potential.

10/10 If I can do it, so can you !!!!

By Liz / Oakdale, MN

I started with Brad 4 1/2 months ago and have seen great results. I had just turned 40, was overweight and out of shape. After I turned 35, I think my metabolism stopped. I gained 30 lbs in 3 years and was not at all happy with myself. I knew I was lacking exercise, I walked several times a week, but that did nothing to get me in shape.

My cousin told me that he was going to kettlebell training and it was just 10 minutes from my house. He assured me that Brad was awesome and that he is really good with people and I should not be intimidated to try... I sucked it up and went to class and I have been going 2 - 3 times a week since I started. With 3 kids in sports and other activities my weeks are very busy, but I will even get up to attend a 5:30 am class if I know I can't get there at night.

Since I have never been very athletic, I really wasn't sure this was going to be for me. Was I wrong. I love going to class. Brad challenges every at their own level. I could barely make it through the warm up when I started. My strength, flexability and coordination have improved immensely. I am doing exercises now that I couldn't even do in high school.

I have lost lots of inches and all my clothes fit much better. I know that in time, the pounds will go as well. Brad creates such a positive environment, there's no way you won't succeed!! Everyone at class is very positive and encouraging.

Two of my kids are taking a conditioning class with Brad this summer and they love to go to class. I know Brad is having a very positive effect on them. He is teaching them good basic skills for body control that will help in all their sports. He challenges them to do the exercises correctly. He inspires them to work hard.

Don't be afraid to try. Have an open mind and be ready to sweat. It will be worth it.

10/10 Fitness for the real world.

By Steve / Lake Elmo

I'm truly amazed at the level of fitness I'm enjoying after participating in Brad's classes for the last six months. Brad has a unique ability to create a workout that hits every part of your body and is never boring. We have people of all ages and fitness levels participating in class, and regardless of who they are, everybody gets crushed---in a good way. You've never worked out like this before and you cant possibly understand what it's all about unless you try it. I'm 46 yrs old and over the last six months I've dropped 20 lbs of fat. Some days I feel like crawling out of the studio on my hands and knees, but I always come back for more. This stuff is the real deal and I highly recommend you give it a try.

10/10 Magical Thinking

By Maggie / St. Paul, MN

Magical thinking - 40 is the new 30, lose 15lbs in 2 weeks without exercising, all fat diet is good for you. While magical thinking is appealing - it isn't reality. Reality is a work out program that strengthens your core and challenges you physically as well as mentally. Classes at Kinetic Edge with Brad do just that. I have been attending class for 3 months and while I still can't do a chin up or push ups well I have gained strength and done things I thought I couldn't do. And I know with full confidence, that in another few months I'll be a champ at push ups and chin ups. Whatever decade you're in or facing - Kettle Bells with Brad is the answer to true fitness. Brads holisitic approach and style guarantees results. Take the challenge and try the gauntlet.

10/10 Brad is truly one of kind Trainer!!

By Amy Zilka / Minnetonka, MN

Brad, incorporates his education, training, skills and his innate abilities in his classes and personal training sessions. He customizes to meet your unique needs in every thing he does with you. Having been a former Junior Olympic Champion gymnast in my past. I have had a lot of pain and injuries etc. Once Brad and I met he knew exactly what I needed and what would be most effective time wise, money wise and energy wise to maximize my results in a rapid way. He used a system on me that is only known by 50 trainers in the world called "The Z System". It completely transformed my body & my life in every way possible. We in MN are very fortunate to have someone like Brad to be our guide into the new generation of health and fitness. Thank you Brad for all you do and give!!

10/10 On Point

By Sara Wiley / Minneapolis, MN USA

As a fellow strength coach, I can't say enough about the quality, integrity and effectiveness of Brad's program. He has graciously spoken and instructed at NSCA events and passed along invaluable information regarding his training philosophy. I've been fortunate to witness a class in person, and saw clients working their butt's off, struggling, sweating and having a blast! I spoke with several members after, all of whom said the same thing- IT WORKS, they love the variety, and they feel like they have truly accomplished something when it's over. I have incorporated some of Brad's techniques into my own routines and with my athletes at the U. Excellent! I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone who truly wants results!

10/10 Great group training--Brad is awesome!!

By Jerry Bizjak / Albert Lea, MN

I attended a couple of MN NSCA classes that Brad spoke at and led a brief hands-on session. After those experiences (and initial struggles then successes), I was able to convince our wrestling coach and some high school lifters to visit Brad. After taking us through a 45-minute workout, the kids were gassed and the coach was convinced. Since then, we've purchased over ten pairs of kettlebells and have used them for in- and off-season training for various athletes and phy-ed classes. The wrestling team, while perennially succesful, finished second in the state behind Apple Valley. Some of the wrestlers said that the kettlebells were so tough, that after the season they were going to melt them down for scrap:) That's indicative of how great unique and demanding the workouts can be. We owe Brad a lot of thanks for his assistance and knowledge. Give one session with Brad a try and you'll know what I mean.

10/10 Great Team Leader

By Wayne English / Huntington, MA USA

I was fortunate enough to have Brad as my team leader at the April Russian Kettlebell Challenge instructor certification course. Brad took the time to work with me one on one to correct technical flaws. Through Brad's patient instruction I was able to make corrections and learned how to execute basic movements like the swing correctly. Drawing on his Z Health background Brad taught me exercises designed to strengthen my ankles. In just three days with Brad's: help, leadership, guidance, and encuragement, during the certification course, I was able reach a new level of understanding on kettlebell training and take my training to another level.

10/10 Awesome instructor with all the answers

By Janna Castellano / Blaine, MN

I trained with Brad about three years ago and saw amazing results with kettlebells. I was a busy college track athlete and did not have anywhere to do kettlebells at school, so I stopped for a while. I am now a personal trainer and decided to get back into kettlebells. I contacted Brad to get back into it. I last minute decided to get certified to be a kettlebell instructor. I had no idea what I was getting myself into! Brad had all the answers to my questions and more helpful information. I met with Brad a few times the week before the certification. He pointed out my weaknesses in form, and even better taught me how to fix them in one session! If you want to know how to use kettlebells correctly and efficiently you need to spend some time with Brad! He is full of knowledge and has all the answers you would want or need to know. I can't imagine going to the certification without working with Brad or picking his brain for helpful hints. I am confident that anyone that goes to Brad for training will achieve their health and fitness goals. He knows what he is doing, and he does it well!

10/10 Great Team Leader

By Mike Miles / Aurora, CO

I just went through the grueling RKC cert in St. Paul and had the good fortune to have Brad Nelson as my Team Leader. Brad has a great attitude and aptitude for teaching to accompany his broad knowledge of kettlebells and athletic performance. Team Nelson benefitted greatly from Brad's keen ability to spot even minor technical errors in performance and provide cues for their correction. Brad was always upbeat and helped us to all stay focused so we could continue to learn even as the workload continued to increase and our minds began to search for a soft place to land. Brad and his assistant instructors, Joe Hadachek and Court Wing, refined our technique and strengthened our resolve throughout the entire three days. It was a great experience and I'm glad I was able to share it with Team Nelson.

10/10 Kettlebells and Brad = Success for wrestler

By Troy and Darcy Bertram / Woodbury, MN

As a parent of of a Kinetic Edge athlete I just wanted to say "WOW" what a difference the Kettlebell training has made for our son. We were looking for something different for total body weight lifting and training for our son and ran across an article in a local Woodbury magazine, made the call to you and never looked back. This is one of the best decisions we have made in our son's training as a high school wrestler. The progress and success we saw in him was amazing. About 3 months after starting the KB training our son was competing in national wrestling tournaments doing lifts and throws he would have never even attempted before. He made the MN cadet national team that summer and went on to place at one of the biggest national tournaments in Fargo, ND that same summer earning him ALL American honors. Not only was he becoming stronger but his confidence was rising as well, which all goes hand in hand in the sport of wrestling. The core strength he gained through KB training is something we had not found before in all of the years he had trained for his wrestling career. He also jumped from 103lbs. his freshman year to 135-140lbs. his senior year and felt confident going up that many weight classes because of the strength and confidence he was gaining. He will now be going to wrestle for a BIG 10 school this next fall where we know what he gained and learned at Kinetic Edge will definitely be a plus for him as he continues on with his wrestling career.

The other thing that was truly outstanding about training with Brad was that he followed our sons progress and knew exactly what he needed to work on to continue his success. They would change/adjust whatever they needed to on his workouts to maximize his strength and conditioning. Brad is a very positive role model for young athletes as well and went above and beyond any expectations we had.

You are truly missing a great opportunity if you don't give KB training and training with Brad a try.

Sincerely,

Troy and Darcy Bertram

10/10 Brad understands the art of teaching

By Crhis Rousemiller, MA, CSCS, USAW / Lakeville, MN

I have observed and participated in a number of clinic presentations Brad has done for the MN NSCA. As a professional teacher and coach, it is a privilege to watch someone as talented as Brad in the art of teaching. He brings the technical aspects of utilizing kettlebells to his audience in a way that encourages the participant, and motivates them to discover more about themselves. When you meet and talk with him , he takes a genuine interest in what people have to say and offer. I do believe that anyone who chooses to work with Brad will make huge strides towards achieving their individual fitness goals. I look forward to listening and participating in his presentations each time he is asked to be a speaker at various professional conferences. Without reservation, I recommend Brad as an excellent instructor.

10/10 Great lesson in kettlebells

By Michel / St. Paul, MN USA

I was at the Spring NSCA clinic at the University of Minnesota and Brad was able to do a 1 hour session in kettlebells. I had never been exposed to them and Brad taught us a handful of basic exercises. Not only did he give us great cues on how to do each exercise, he made sure we were doing the right techniques as well. It was a great presentation with the short amount of time he had. I am interested in learning more now that I have been exposed to these exercises.

10/10 Worth Every Second

By Michelle / Woodbury,MN

First of all I just want to thank you Brad for everything. You are an excellent trainer! Very caring, motivating and passionate person.
Brad has helped me to acheive my goals in changing my body. After years of doing the treadmill, eliptical and free weights I have never seen results quite like this before.
I have been working with Brad for 10 weeks now, and participated in the meltdown and I am very proud to say I have lost 3 pounds, 10 inches and dropped a pant size!
I never thought I would be someone getting up at 5:30 in the morning to workout and now quite honestly I wouldn't have it any other way!
Thanks again Brad for listening and pushing me to acheive my goals you are by far the best trainer I have ever worked with!
Your beatdowns are absolutely worth every second!

10/10 Tactical Strength Challenge (TSC) Success Story

By Jamie Munson / Monmouth, IL

I want to thank Brad for his guidance in preparing me for my first TSC competition in April of '08. I am thrilled with my progress and cannot wait to begin preparing for the next one.

When I started training with Brad, my deadlift was in the low 300-range, my pull-up count was 10 and my snatch count was 87. In nine weeks of training, my TSC numbers were as follows:

deadlift: 365 (and a close miss of 405)
pull-up: 16
snatch: 124

On top of that, I lost 5 pounds of body weight and my training partner lost 35 pounds!

I live and train out of IL while Brad operates out of MN. Each week Brad put together a road map for success that was followed precisely. I provided feedback to Brad each week and a new road map for the following week was created. Five of the nine weeks I was traveling for work and Brad ensured the plan would accommodate the travel needs (i.e. one 1.5 pood kettlebell as opposed to two or heavier bells).

I first met Brad a few years back when I stopped in to meet him while visiting the Minneapolis area and asked him to critique my form. He left a very good impression and was the first person I called once I decided to compete.

I plan to continue working with Brad and highly recommend him to those in search of strong training guidance that delivers results!

Thanks again, Brad!

10/10 Best overall workout

By Brian Parliament / Woodbury, MN

I was persuaded by my Chiropractor (Dr. Tory Robson) to try Brad's kettlebell workout. I worked out regularly in a gym and was very skeptical that these kettlebell things had anything to offer. After the first introduction class with Brad, I was convinced. My legs were sore for 3 days. An excellent workout and I was just learning the exercises.

The kettlebell workout that Brad instructs is a unique workout. It fuses weight lifting and cardio into one colossal workout. I started about a year ago and even though I have trained extensively in a typical gym, I was getting stronger and leaner after exercising with kettlebells. It is by far the best workout I have participated in bar none.

Not only does Brad's workout get you in great shape but the best part I have found is that it helps my back. I have had chronic back pain for 10+ years and have gotten relief from Tory, but it kept nagging through ups and downs. After completing several sessions with Brad, to my delight, my back has gotten much better. The ups are much higher and the downs are not as bad. So if you have low back problems don't let that stop you from trying this, it may very well help.

10/10 Pain is weakness leaving the body!

By Douglas Boehme / Woodbury, MN

Brad Nelson fully understands what's necessary to take any athlete to the next level.I could think of no better environment than Kinetic Edge for an athlete to not only address their physical needs, but ultimately give them the best opportunity to maximize their performance.
Regardless the sport, Brad will encourage and push you to train at a much higher level than you thought possible.

10/10 Worth the 4 hour drive

By Jane Austin / Dalton, Wisconsine

I attended a K/B Z training and I am very excited about my results. My ankles, knees, and hips are not hurting me any more. Brad is a good teacher and was very easy to understand. I have been able to pratice at home. I have been training horses for a living for the last 35 years. But I noticed after being at Brad's training I am riding even better and my muscles feel so much better. I feel more flexible plus stronger.

10/10 I'm a Former Has Been and Almost Was!

By Ron Mickschl / Woodbury, MN

I first started working with Brad over 5 years ago when I believe he was in his beginning stages as a RKC Professional. I was tired of the mega mall approach of the big health clubs. I've had personal training sessions in the past and at the most these people attempt to show you proper technique on bench pressing or some other health club piece of equipment.

Regardless of whether you were involved in athletics at all or currently are; RKB's with Brad Nelson has the potential to reshape your life and your game!

Working with Brad I found a "focus & purpose" for training. It wasn't just about technique, but, more about achievement of a better "physical state and more importantly a better mental state!"

Brad's expertise to help you achieve goals and correct specific movements to help elimiate pain from joints and muscles is unmatched.

Add to that his creativity and personal energy he puts into his efforts focused on your results and he's a rare trainer who in my opinion can be labeled a "Professional" in his field.

10/10 Average Age Group Triathlete to Elite Triathlete

By Michelle Carlson / Maple Grove, MN

I started working with Brad eight years ago. I needed someone to challenge and push me to a level I would never thought be possible. Brad was the one to get me there. When he started training with Kettlebells I was so excited to see how this type of training would take me to the NEXT level. WOW! I saw results in strength and endurance within a two-week period. As a true endurance athlete (Ironman and Marathon) I tend to focus on swim, bike and run training, not strength. Kettlebell training not only helped me improve my endurance, it decreased my risk of injury, it nailed my core (which is so important in triathlon) and my power went through the roof. Due to this type of training, I was able to achieve my dream of competing in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Not only did I do the race of my life, I even got a personal record. I was an average Age Group triathlete, now I am Elite status. Thanks Brad for your level of commitment and your cutting edge techniques.

10/10 A fun fitness alternative!

By JP Rondeau / Minneapolis, MN

For years I've worked out with a simple mix of weight training and cardio. In my younger years, I was heavier into weight training and less cardio, and now as I am 33, I have a mix of 2/3 cardio and 1/3 weight training. I found myself getting very bored with the same workout schedule, and I wasn't working out much on the weekends. I decided I needed an alternative to complement my normal workout...so I tried out Brad's Kettlebell beginner course.

I was not only feeling (and really FEELING) muscles I had not been working in the past, but was invigorated by the added motivation I had to make sure I started getting into "Kettlebell" shape. After a handful of classes, I continue to feel energized - much moreso than I do with my normal workout - around going to Kettlebell class.

Brad works you hard, which is refreshing and needed, but he also takes the time to help you form better technique that will ultimately help with better future results.

The biggest benefit is that I have an exciting workout alternative that not only complements, but enhances my normal workout. I've found myself getting in better and better shape and have started to feel it as my pants loosen more each week!

I recommend anyone trying this out as potentially their central workout regimen, or just using it to complement their normal workout. And you can know that you will be highly challenged in Brad's courses, but will also learn technique and other health advice that he is always willing to share.

10/10 Produces results

By Derrick T / Hudson, WI

After having been in the Army for eight years, I considered myself to be in good shape, man was I wrong. After finding out about kettlebells I went to see Brad for a quick instructional session, during a quick trip home, as I was deployed at the time and unable to attend classes or personal training sessions.

After the initial workout I knew that kettlebells were a different approach to fitness and one that was right up my alley. Upon returning from my deployment, I started attending Brad's classes in the mornings where I was punished into even better shape. Brad makes you work very hard but is extremely supportive while doing so.

Overall, I would gladly recommend Brad to anyone I know. Brad is by far the best trainer I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

10/10 One of the Best!

By Aaron Larmore / Iowa City, Iowa

Brad is very knowledgeable, experienced, and goes above and beyond to get results for all those he works with! I've been very fortunate to have worked with some great professionals in the strength and conditioning/fitness field and think of Brad as being one of the best! I've known him for six years. He has unquestionable integrity and character. Expect only a positive outcome when working with Brad!

10/10 Results is what you get when training with Brad Nelson.

By Mark Wilson RKC / Fargo, ND

I recently finished a three-month program with RKC Brad Nelson. The success I had on his program far exceeded my expectations going in. We set out with one goal in mind: total body strength gains. Setting new PR???s in all exercises tells me that your program is helped me reach and exceed my goals. Here are just a few:
??? Going from a few reps of body-weight only pistols to completing sets of one rep with an 88 lbs. KB.
??? Doing pull-ups with an extra 53 lbs. to doing a rep with an extra 106 lbs.
??? Military press with 70lbs KB to doing multiple sets of five with two 88 lbs and pressing the Beast.
??? I went from 209lbs to 219lbs while maintaining the same bodyfat percent.
I have never seen results like this before in my history of strength training. Then add in the benefits of increased cardio capacity and increased flexibility and I have seen the best of both worlds. Take care, Brad and thank you for everything you do for me.

10/10 Total Body Workout

By Paula Villwock / Dalton, WI

I loved my phase I kettlebell class because it focused on many muscle groups and required co-ordination, balance, and the overall connection of trying to think about a complex motion and then "requiring the body to follow out the motion intended". Brad's expertise gave me a "glimpse" of how much this could enhance one's overall strength and co-ordination.
I will continue to look for Brad's coaching as I develop my training routine. He truly has a gift in seeing each individual's talents as well as their shortfalls. I hope to continuously develop strength and balance to become advanced in skijoring activities (cross country skiing behind dogs). Truly though, kettlebells will advance you in whatever your goals may be. Brad will be a golden resource.

10/10 Opened My Mind

By Nikki / St. Mary's Point, MN USA

I am a 32 year old mom of two that has no motivation/interest in exercising at all. After meeting Brad and attending one of his group classes I have a different outlook on what "exercising " can be. Kettlebells and Brad made it fun and exciting and that is what is most important in any exercise experience that you may have.

10/10 Deticated instructor

By Ryan Walseth / Minneapolis, MN USA

I thought your seminar on Jan 12th, 2008 was solid. Great preparation and delivery. Brad's experience in the Kettlebell industry is extensive, and has to make him one of the best in the country! Thanks for opening my eyes to the Kettlebell world. I would definitly attend your class if I lived in the area, and will not hesitate to recommend your class to anyone I know living in the St. Paul/Woodbury area! Thanks again.

10/10 You can't help but to get results when you are training with Brad at Kinetic Edge

By Cortez Hull RKC / St. Paul, Mn

I first met Brad 2 years ago where he was an Assistant kettlebell instructor at a kettlebell certification. During the course of that weekend, Brad both impressed and inspired me with his displays of strength and skill with the kettlebells. Enter 2008, Brad impressed me again. The moment I stepped into Kinetic Edge, the gym spoke volumes about Brad and his methods. I immeadiately thought that a person couldn't help but get in the best shape of their lives at his gym. FYI....Brad's gym is equipped with all the things that will allow his clients to get the best results faster than anyone else.
Brad went on to teach a highly imformative seminar on both Kettlebells and Z-health. Prior to the Kettlebell/Z-health seminar I knew him to be a professional and an excellent instructor. This fact is obvious from the other reviews. However what impressed me the most about Brad is that he is both a teacher and a student. The man is always learning, always looking for better ways to improve himself and the results he gets for his clients. That is the type of person you want training you!!! I'm from Missouri and anyone from there knows that it's known as the SHOW ME STATE. If you want a person that is going to "SHOW YOU REAL RESULTS, FASTER".... come to Kinetic Edge and look up Brad Nelson.

10/10 HS Football Team Utilizes KB Routine to IMPROVE!

By Joe Hadachek / Dysart, IA USA

Brad and I go way back to college days. I was his strength coach and he was my student. Brad's training expertise with the kettlebells has turned the student into the teacher, and the former teacher into the student. Brad's advice helped me pass the RKC test and after "enjoying" the pain of KB's we introduced them to our high school football team. Brad traveled down and taught an introductory session with 70 athletes and 10 coaches. How do you train 70 people at once in a small weight room? You can't unless you use kettlebells. We introduced the KB program to our athletes in the spring and followed a 3 day routine that Brad helped us set up all summer long. Here are the advantages: 1) train outside in summer of Iowa thus getting conditioning to heat/humidity, 2) increase cardio and flexibility training with the KB's, 3) all grades of athletes (3-6th, 7th-8th and 9th-12th) in one setting, 4) no boredom, 5) when an athlete goes on vacation during summer they check out a KB to take with them, thus NO missed workouts, 6)majority of all exercises are multi-joint, 7) snapping the hips in football and kettlebell training have tremendous similarity, and 8) get a tan while lifting! We incorporated a two day routine under Brad's direction for in-season and the players absolutely loved it! The number one comment them made after the fall was: "DO NOT CHANGE THE KETTLEBELL WORKOUTS FOR IN-SEASON." Our team tied the best record in the last 10 years at our school and let's give a big thank you to Brad Nelson for his influence on helping Union High School become a Kettlebell Nation! In addition to football, our cross country teams (2A State Champion girls), boys basketball team, and even our cheerleading squad are working out with kettlebells. Brad is professional, highly educated and continually working on himself to find a better way to get it done. If you are thinking about working with Brad, JUST DO IT!

10/10 WOW!!! Does it ever work

By Brandon Gross / Owatonna, MN

After deciding to get into decent shape for once, I started researching fitness equipment. Throughout my search on the internet I stumble upon a familiar face. I open up this web site and there's Brads smiling face. I laugh to myself, since I grew up with Brad but have not talked to hime in a few years. Knowing Brad is a fitness freak, I stop in to see him. We go to lunch and he informs me of one of his classes that he thinks would benefit me. A five hour class focusing on beginner kettlebells and z-health. Now being about four months into my own solid work out routine, I feel I am getting in pretty good shape. How wrong could I be? I run a few miles a day, and weight train 4 days a week. I could not believe that a single kettlebell could give a guy such a complete workout. I'll be honest, I was a bit doubtful. I mean, it takes a gym full of expensive equipment to get in shape.
Well, I took the class yesterday. Brads instruction throughout the day was second to none. His knowledge of how the body works is incredible. I can not explain how sore I am from a kettlebell workout. Not the typical single bodypart workout. My whole body worked out in one workout. What a time saver. Cardio and weights all in one. One tool, affordable, no machines. I can only say how forward I look to my next workout with Brad. His knowledge of kettlebells and z health are tools that everyone should incorporate into there life. He was right, they are addicting. Getting my own kettlebells are already in the works. Thanks Brad for opening my eyes to such a powerful workout tool.

10/10 Most positive trainer I've ever met

By Shelley / Woodbury, MN

I met Brad a couple of years ago. I thought I was in good shape from my own workouts and karate training. I had been to various trainers with no real change. When I tried kettlebells with Brad I was surprised at the improvement in my strength. After only a few workouts I was totally sold on Brad and his kettlebell training. I was impressed with how kettlebells work your entire body especially your core. I even strengthened my legs in ways that years of weight training could not do. Even though it wasn't my goal, I went down a couple of pant sizes which was an added bonus.

Brad is a true positive influence. His spirit is infectious. Each and every time I work with Brad he is smiling and excited to work with me. I especially like how he walks the walk. Too many trainers just talk the talk and don't practice what they preach. Brad is so fit that I aspire to be like him. He is clearly a leader in this field and an inspiration to everyone who has the opportunity and privilege to work with him.

10/10 Got a much needed tune up on KB technique

By Julia Patek / Mahtomedi, MN

Brad has a great way of taking a movement and breaking it down to the basic steps so a person can bulid up to the whole movement in a correct and proper form. In doing so this greatly reduces the risk of injury, and builds a person's confindence in doing the workout's correctly on their own. The best help I got from his workshop was how to correctly do a windmill, and a snatch. Up until the workshop I always felt awkward and out of sync with the weight of the KB. And with the snatch I was still getting hit by the bell every now and then, but with Brad's help of breaking that manuver down I was able to understand what the part was I missing in doing a correct snatch. Now I look forward to doing both windmills and snatch's were before I would always dread them. THANK YOU VERY MUCH BRAD!

10/10 Do Anything to Train With Brad

By Chris Ahlquist / Mazatlan, Mexico

Back in 2004 I went to one of Brad's first kettlebell workshops. He started by telling us to pick up a kettlebell so we could get started. I went for a "mini" kettlebell, and he directed me to pick up the bigger one - over there. It looked big, bad and dangerous.

In about 5 minutes, I was in control of the bigger one he had told me to use. I was addicted to kettlebells. Brad overdelivered that day and got me so fired up I decided to be an RKC. I live in Mexico now, and train others how to use kettlebells, but the greatest impact anyone has had on me and my training was Brad.

After attending two certifications with Pavel, I consider Brad a TOP TRAINER (and this was way before he discovered Z Health...) and would recommend anyone to train with Brad. By the way, he showed me two exercises that healed a bad shoulder, and specific drills for my back - which led to total healing of a lifetime injury from hockey. Thank you Brad! He has impacted my life and the way I see exercise. He is my ongoing example of how to train a client and overdeliver on every level!

10/10 Brad is an Awesome Trainer

By John Burger / Neptune Beach FL USA

I discovered Kettlebells from my mother she had been training with Brad and all she could do was rave about how great he is and how awesome the work out is. I came back home from Florida to visit and took a session with him and got my butt kicked, it was awesome! After that I came home again and trained more seriously for a week with him and he is a great instructor and an extremely motivational individual. Thank you for all your help with the work outs.

10/10 Doesn't get any better...

By Chris Powers, RKC / Roseville, MN

Training with Brad is one of the best decisions I've ever made. His knowledge and passion are unparalleled. The programs he's put together for me have been both 'fun' and challenging and kept me coming back for more. Many times he would ask me to do more than I thought I was capable of and I would always end up surprising myself. I went from 195 to 205 lbs at 6% body fat and my strength and conditioning have gone through the roof! The physical results were great, but training with Brad really gave me so much more than that.
Thanks a lot Brad!

10/10 Truly Life Changing

By Nedra / Stillwater, MN

I had just suffered a terrible health set back in late 2005 and the treatment in 2006 had put me in a position where I had gained weight and was having problems walking without a cane. A co-worker had badgered me into going to Brads into class with her family members. I thought I was going to die after attempting to do the beginner class. After the class I spoke with Brad and asked if there was anything we could do to improve my health, lose weight and regain my strength. In June of 2007 I started private classes with Brad to work with Z Health and Kettle Bells. I had the support of another participate on my journey to getting better. With Brads one on one???s and the support of Lucy and now Susie (there are 3 of us) now, at 6 months I have lost 54 lbs, 35.25 inches 5 dress sizes. I no longer walk with a cane, can climb steps and have so much more energy. The Z-Health has been a life saver. Brad has been very supportive and continues to come up with new approaches to tackle my continuing health issues. This has been a truly life changing experience. With high hopes I plan on continuing this journey to control my health issues, lose weight, and change my life.

10/10 Great Guy with a Great Passion for Kettlebells

By Carol / Woodbury, MN

A couple of years ago - I was introduced to kettlebells. So I bought one 16kg and a DVD, and pretty much self-taught myself the best I could.

However, I realized I needed a certified and experienced instructor to take me to the next level with exercises and technique. I saw Brad present kettlebells at a clinic - and I knew he was the guy to help me.

Brad did a wonderful job showing me the correct technique with so many of the kettlebell exercises, as well as, giving me the extra pointers that sometimes don't get mentioned in books and DVDs.

Brad is truly a great guy with a great passion for kettlebells. I respect his knowledge very much.

If you want someone who is passionate and knowledgeable - Brad is the guy!

10/10 Worth the 2 1/2 hour drive to train with Brad!

By Mike Juve, RKC / Decorah, IA

My wife and I trained privately with Brad. It was the best investment of our money! I have trained traditionally for years and have never been challenged mentally or physically like I have training with Kettlebells. Plus, I was flat out bored and needed a change. Within the first 30 minutes of Brad training us I was sold on Kettlebells. Brad is the best at teaching and training. I have known Brad for about 4 years and he is the most knowledgeable person when it comes to strength training and nutrition.
In 12 weeks of trainnig with Brad I went from 215 to 205 pounds and dropped from a 35 inch waist to a 32. I haven't been in 32's since I was a sophomore in high school. I am definitely physically and mentally stronger now than I ever have been.
If you want results, you go to Brad!

10/10 Post pregnancy belly--GONE!

By Sara Juve, RKC / Decorah, IA

I have known Brad for years, so I knew that driving 2 1/2 hours to train with him was worth it! When I began, I was looking to lose the belly that was left after delivering my second child just 14 weeks prior. I was also tired of the same old routine of traditional training. I was immediately impressed with Brad's training knowledge and ability to relate to my goals. I had little experience with kettlebells, but Brad helped me to quickly learn the basics...and I was addicted! I lost over 2% body fat in my first 8 weeks and my "baby belly" was GONE!
My husband and I worked privately with Brad throughout the 6 months that we prepared for the RKC. We credit Brad's expertise and enthusiasm in our completion of the rigorous weekend!
Thank you Brad!

10/10 Mo Chu Chi!

By Dr. Tory Robson / Woodbury, MN

Mo Chu Chi means "Straight Ahead Without Hesitation... That is exactly the attitude that Brad and the K-Bell iron instill. I am extremely lucky to have Brad's training facility in the same building as my office, and without a doubt, kettlebells along with Brad's training style have been on of the greatest and most influential discoveries of my life!

10/10 FAMILY AFFAIR....Why Not!

By Sue / Hudson, WI

It seemed as though my whole family was doing this "kettlebell" class except myself. After seeing amazing results from my mother and a persistent sister, I came to a class offered by Brad. I couldn't believe the workout I had received after just 45 minutes with this strange looking object known as a Kettlebell. If I was in the gym I would of been there at least another hour with 1/2 of the benefits. Was this maybe the right workout for me? Had I finally found something that could change my health for a better life? Brad Nelson is a exceptional communicator. He is very knowledgeable and a motivating trainer. His compassion for a healthy life is reflected on his teachings. Not just focusing on Kettlebells but looking at the nutrition and z-health benefits as well. After watching me walk, Brad had me do a couple of stretches with my foot and the constant back pain I had learned to live with my adult life had disappeared. Brad is really your one time "shop" for living a healthy life working with all aspects. I know this seems to good to be true but if you give Brad the chance you will see what we are all talking about. Sticking with the "family" tradition I joined with my mom and now go twice a week where we have Brad as our personal trainer. I've been attending for three months and have lost 13.750 inches and about 8 lbs. MORE importantly is what I've gained....A positive outlook on my future!

10/10 If you hate the treadmill, you NEED this!

By Jill a/k/a Client #2 / Woodbury, MN

I am a mother of two young boys and I started working with Brad almost one year ago. For about the first eight months we focused on Z Health for a previous back injury I had been nursing for the last seven years. On an average day my pain level would be approximately a seven on a ten scale. Not fun times. I can now honestly say for about the last three months I have been pain free. There have been a few days that I have had pain but never above a two. I do not like two. I love Z Health which I lovingly call Voo Doo Magic.

Since being able to focus on kettle bells, I have noticed some significant changes in my body. For example, a couple of months ago I purchased an evening gown for a charity event I was to attend in November. The day before the event I tried on my dress just to be sure it fit right. There was good news and bad news about the dress. The bad news was the dress did not fit right. The good news was that it was too big! What an awesome surprise. I love being able to wear whatever I have in my closet. Kettle bells are so much fun. The variety and results keep me coming back for more.

10/10 65 YEARS YOUNG

By Lucy / Afton, MN USA

"After my first class, I knew Kettlebells was for me. I hired Brad as my personal trainer. I knew right away that I was going to lose weight. I work out with Brad two times a week. I have been training for eleven weeks with the lost of 27 lbs and 13.5 inches. I'm still saying WOW!

This is just the beginning, I learned how to eat the right foods. I'm still learning this one. Brad told me right away to give up the 2-3 cans of Mountain Dew that I drank every day. He said just by giving up the Mountain Dew, the pounds and inches would melt away. I agreed to give up all but one can. In a short time, I found out that I did not need any Mountain Dew. I now use Spark for my energy drink.

I work full time. I come home wanting and able to do more work or play.

I still have a long way to go to hit my goal. I can see it, because I have extra energy to achieve it.

My best investment was in my health and well being when I hired Brad as my personal trainer.

I'm looking forward to my next three months working out with Brad as my personal trainer."

7 MONTH WEIGHTLOSS/BODY SCULPTING UPDATE:

10/10 Doesn't Beat Around the Bush

By Pauline Geraci / Montesano, Washington USA

I started training with Brad in his garage a year ago in Minnesota. Since then I moved to Washington State. I came back this Christmas and Brad had opened his own place. The first person I think of for pushing me and giving me a great workout is Brad. I attended several of his classes over the holidays and of course they were just what I needed. I even went to a class after I hurt my knee sledding. He just worked with what I could do and still worked my butt off. I have a black belt in karate, I am a Master Fitness Trainer in the Army, a Certified Personal Trainer, and Kettlebell Instructor but I still need Brad to give me some inspiration and ideas for fitness. Because of Brad I am now using kettelbells as part of my personal training and am the only one in Grays Harbor County Washington currently doing so. As long as Brad is around, I will keep coming to him and will always stay in contact. Thanks Brad!

10/10 Breaking Through in Climbing

By Joe J Tebbe / White Bear Lake, MN (USA)

I started researching strength training last year, because I was looking to improve my rock climbing, I wasn't making progress at sending 5.10 climbs. I was stuck at 5.8 to 5.9 climbs for over 6 months while working out at the rock climbing gym 2 to 3 times per week averaging 2-3 hours of climbing. I was getting very frustrated. I came across Russian Kettlebell Training and I did further research through Dragondoor. I decided this was what I was looking for. I contacted Brad Nelson of KE Performance and took the first step and entered his KB training classes. I told Brad my goals of breaking down the 5.10 plus climbing barrier and he told me KB's will not only improve my overall strength, but will also improve my balance, flexibility and endurance. All the components needed for climbing improvement. I was psyched ! I started with the "Gauntlet" Beat Downs, they were gruelling, but I felt great the rest of the day. I decided this was it so I combined Brad's "Gauntlet" Class and "Survivor" Class 2 times per week with my Gym Climbing 2-3 times per week. After 3 weeks of Brad's classes I sent my first 5.10 climb and now have been consistently climbing 5.10a and 5.10b's. I know my performance improvements were a direct result of the Kettlebell training. I continue Kettlebelling and I am enjoying my overall fitness and have now reset my goal for climbing 5.11's which is a significant jump in performance from 5.10's. I expect to acheive this goal in 2008.

10/10 ~HARD WORK~

By Logan McAlpin / Marshall, MN

I worked with Brad all last summer and i really loved the program. I did kettelbell training because i was done with high school wrestling and entering the college level. I did one on one training with Brad I was very impressed with the program! The work outs were down right tough. I Loved it because there was always something new that he would bring to the table. Brad worked with my coordination, balance, strength and conditioning. At first it was really hard for me, but by the end i was much much stronger, better conditioned, quick and agile, and even better balanced. I highly recomemd Kettelbell training with Brad. He is an awesome trainer and an even better person!

10/10 Cellulite Fighter Update

By Kathi / Afton, MN USA

A quick update - I started with Brad seven months ago . I am happy to say I have lost 20 inches and 30 pounds! I started with Brad two days a week, after a month I went to three days and now I crave for at least four days. Brad is the best because he is constantly challenges us and he holds us accountable regarding our diets and Z health exercises that he shows us to help our movements. I could not find a better instructor than Brad or a more complete fitness routine than kettlebells.

10/10 Improved My Game

By Shane Schmidt / Golf Galaxy-Woodbury, MN

I'm a golf professional and was introduced to Brad about a year ago. He's a class act to work with and is a wealth of knowledge and keeps things exciting and fun. With his help I was able to take my game to the next level through increased stamina and flexibility with Kettlebells. I would fully endorse Brad and tell anybody who's intersted in taking their game to the next level or just improve their overall health, look to Brad Nelson.

10/10 FOUND...the best workout ever

By Stephanie / Montrose, MN

I discovered a "new" strength tool while reading one of my favorite blogs on the internet. Kettlebells! I started to research more and more and decided I had to have one and begin working out ASAP. I called a local 2nd Wind store to find out if they had any. The person I spoke with said he did not carry Kettlebells but that he went to school with a great guy that could not only get me a Kettlebell but could also train me on how to use one.

My husband and I decided to take Brad's introductory class and we both were immediately hooked. We loved Brad's "beatdown" and wanted more so we bought a few sessions. We both learned so much from brad in the few short times that we worked with him.

I work as a personal trainer part-time and Brad inspired me to want to be certified as an RKC. I have since signed up for the April 08 Certification. Brad has always been available to answer any questions that I had and always is willing to give me the information I need to make it through the rigorous course.

My husband and I have also attended one of Brad's Z Health seminars. Brad really helped my husband with some knee and shoulder pain that he has had for years.

Thanks for all of your guidance and knowledge!

10/10 Much more than meets the eye

By KC Pfluger / Woodbury MN

I have attended Brad's clases and had numerous discussions about physical conditioning, training different age groups and fitness levels and the science behind what is required to get a person in top physical condition. His expertise in Kettlebells goes way beyond his RKC Team Leader certification. His depth of knowledge goes way beyond any other trainer I have come across. He has spent a majority of his life and vast amounts of time and money keeping on the cutting edge of the latest research and development in human performance and development. That would be great credentials to have but the fact of the matter is he knows how to relate his knowledge in a way that you can understand, regardless of your level of experience or knowledge about fitness. This is what sets Brad apart from the rest. With his un-ending quest to become more knowledgeable and efficient at making himself a better person, he will always be tops in his field and someone who should be sought out if you want to better yourself. Kettlebells are an incredibly effective and efficient tool for strength and conditioning. Brad Nelson ties the Kettlebells and a host of experience and cutting edge knowledge to make him invaluable for self improvement.

10/10 Never a dull moment.

By Scott B. / Blaine, MN

I have been instructed in Kettlebells by four different instructors in MN and Brad Nelson would definitely be my Top choice. I weight train and participate in many different martial arts. I am a former US Marine and love all types of non traditional training. What I love the most about Brad's style of training, is that it is never the same workout. EVER. From the time you meet Brad you immediately feel welcome and feel like you've known Brad your whole life. He willingly shares his wealth of knowledge with you about any topic, from Kettlebells to nutrition. Anyone serious about proper kettlebell training and seeking a killer workout needs to go see Brad Nelson.

10/10 Revolutionary – Only if words could describe

By Tyler / St. Paul, MN

I grew up a sports finatic. Anything and everything. Football, Basketball, Hocky, Lacrosse. Extreme sports: Diving, Snowboard and Skiing, in the park, out of the park, back country. Wakeboarding, Extreme Mountain Biking, BMX... The list continues. I'm not even close to an expert at any of the sports but I can do it all with a level of respect from peers.

I've always avoided lifting, training, working out, etc because I figured I could just go play the sports and get a better work out, and enjoy it at the same time. There has been situations when I thought I'd try traditional gyms, the training, and many of the different types of workouts that are offered. I'd try them all for a few months leave empty handed. They were boring, and didn't provide me with enough. COMPLETELY UNSATISFIED!!!

I met Brad about a year ago, things clicked as we shared similar interests in the human body. His knowledge completely crippled me, I was in awe, and I thought I knew a lot. He was the first person I've ever met to have such a profound way of understanding the body! "He gets it". So naturally I was clingy, and tried to absorb as much as I could. Many times he would recommend that I pick up a Kettelbell and attend a class. I'd always blow him off and tell him that "classes" just weren't for me...

A REVOLUTION...It was a Saturday morning. I walked in his gym with a grin on my face thinking that this was going to be easier than flipping pancakes. 20 minutes later, he earned my attention. I could feel the burn in my legs, the burn in my arms, the burn in my core. I could feel it in my lungs. This was a total work out, that worked, not to mention the fact that it was fun to do. Unconventional moves that required my mind, not just my muscles. Unconventional manuevers that worked my tiny muscles. Like most gyms he wasn't trying to grow big muscles on his clients, he was building usable and toned muscles that could bring shame to those big burly men with huge muscles... Brads, work out was about being in shape and having a tuned body that could tackle the obstacles of life. If you are having problems with sore joints, sore body, accidental injurys that are crippling your life, you name it, talk to brad. Beyond his Kettlebells, he understands the body. I have yet to see him fail with a client. If he tells you that he can fix it, trust me...HE CAN.

I was a personal trainer looking for a job, when my college instructor Mike Kjelland recommended I speak with Brad Nelson. Brad gave me a clear picture of the trainer I want to be and the life I want to live. He introduced me to kettlebells, Advocare, and the joys of owning your own business. Very few trainers in the industry (especially those of Brad's status) would take the time to help a young trainer expand his mind and career. Brad continues to assist me in becoming the standout trainer I want to be. Thanks for all the help and inspiration!

10/10 Beatdown Survivor!

By Mark / Roberts, WI

I am 46 years young, have had on again off again lower back pain. I had just
completed 10 chiropractic sessions for my back and I needed to do something to
strengthen it. Searching the Internet, I found Dragon Door and KBs. I bought a
kettlebell and Pavels ETK. After receiving them and attempting the workouts, I
realized I needed help! I went to Dragon Door to search for an instructor and
found Brad. It was the best information I have ever gotten off the internet!

I have been working out with Brad for about 9 months now and I still learn
something new at every class. Brad excells at bringing out the best in you. I am most
impressed with his ability to help a wide variety of people with different capabilities.

I am stronger than I have ever been, especially my core. I can now stand for long
periods of time without back pain or soreness. My flexibility has drastically improved
where I can now do full squats. I am now ready to play basketball with the young guys!
Thanks Brad!

10/10 Weight Loss King

By Jake / Minneapolis

I WAS overweight. I will say it again, I WAS overweight. I have been working out with Brad for one and a half years and have lost 22 pounds. In the past I struggled with motivating myself to become a healthier and happier person. Despite these moments of human lacking, with Brad???s help, I have accepted that my destiny is in my control. Brad made it clear that the preparation will be tedious, the anticipation heavy, but we will not be deterred from our end goal. Brad and I have forged invincible memories and we have built a tradition of hard work as strong as the Minnesotan limestone we stand upon.

10/10 Brad Nelson, Master Trainer

By John Krieger / Chaska, MN

I have personally trained with Brad in a one on one session as well as attended official KB certification seminars and hands down Brad Nelson is the most educated and understanding fitness trainer I have ever run across. His extreme level of fitness combined with great customer service and understanding of each individuals needs and goals makes Brad a champion trainer for any situation, individual, team, casual, or Olympic style training. I would highly recommend Brad as a trainer to anyone looking to go beyond the best shape of their life into a new state of physical and mental well being known as The Kettle Bell Zone.

10/10 Improving performance and health

By Luka Hocevar / Ljubljana, Slovenia

I am an athlete that had gotten hooked on kettlebells some years ago and have used them continuously throughout but I can honestly say that the information from Brad has helped me take my performance (and also health in general) to a new level. I have been combining kettlebells and Z-Health and I can't tell you how much of a difference it has made!!!

10/10 Short, Sweet, & To The Point

By Jake Zauhar / Cold Spring, MN

I attended the NSCA Strength and Conditioning clinic that Brad presented at in the Spring of 2007. He was unbeleivable. Brad captivated the audience with his enthusiasm for what he does. Within an hour, we had great information to think about in regards to facts, exercises, and technique. Brad had it all. The following morning he did hands on demonstrations. He was extrememly patient, focusing his attention on everyone in each group he worked with. One can undertsand within the first few minutes of talking to Brad how passionate he is about helping others acheive health greatness. I do beleive that Brad is the one stop shop for personal training at every level. He has great knowledge and will be short, sweet, and to the point in getting you to where you want to be.

10/10 Kettlebells: The Fountain of Youth

By Greg / Saint Paul, MN

I started training with Brad in May of 2006. I had never heard of kettlebells before. The first opinions I heard were "Bah! those are paperweights!" and " They don't put any bulk on you." Luckily, I knew that having contempt prior to investigation won't get you very far in life. Me trying kettlebells was meant to be anyway, because my boss at the time paid for some sessions with Brad.
At the start of my training, I weighed 225 lbs., and had a waist of 38-36. I HAD to do something. I pretty much got hooked my first workout. Kettlebells weren't boring like regular weightlifting. No two workouts have ever been the same with Brad- he definitely mixes things up. He kept a very close eye on me when I was learning the basics. I see that he watches over all of his students closely today to make sure we have the proper technique, and he also offers tips for improvement. Brad's positive attitude has helped with the flab between my ears too. But now for the best part... people usually guess that I'm five to ten years younger than I really am! At my heaviest and long before training with Brad, I was 245lbs. He helped me lose the last bit of weight to get down to 168-170 which is what I curently hover around. My waist is now a 32( my biggest was a 40) I haven't worn pants that size since high school. I have never been this strong or this fit in my life. I no longer look like a pregnant yeti. I actually took my shirt off at the beach this summer without being self- conscious. I work out three times a week- even dragging my hide out of bed at 4:40am to make his 5:30 classes. Brad's kettlebell classes have definitely been my fountain of youth.

10/10 Thanks be to Brad!!

By Kevin Baugher / Souix Falls, SD USA

I have been working out religiously four days per week for 15 years. I really enjoy the benefits of exercise and how it makes me feel. Who doesn't? I found my workouts were getting VERY stale and I have taken time off, switched workouts, modified lifts, circuit trained, got into a jogging league, you name it I have done it and I still felt like my workouts weren't quite what I wanted.

Then I found Brad's site on the internet, and my life hasn't been the same since. I took the time to go to Woodbury and visit Brad and pick is brain about these kettlebells. He took me through a workout and I was amazed by how I felt. What a unique way to strength train I thought. The more I talked to Brad the more I realized that the kettlebell has been around for quite sometime and it really allows the human body to perfect and master what it was intended for.....MOVEMENT, at the same time achieving your fitness goals whatever they are. For me, it was to see my abs for the first time, which I have never seen.

It has been about a month and half since I met with Brad. Since then I have purchased kettlebells for my wife and I and we have both lost about 2 inches around our waist, added strength in our trunk area, and I have greatly reduce the nagging shoulder pain that I have been fighting with for about six months. I have done more in a month and a half then I have accomplished in a year of traditional strength training. I'm hooked on kettlebells and I can't wait to workout!!!

Like the title states, thanks be to Brad! I recommend anyone who has ANY fitness goal or goals to contact Brad Nelson. You won't be disappointed.

10/10 CELLULITE FIGHTER

By Kathi / Afton, MN USA

When my son went off to college I thought that my life was coming to an end. After a year of feeling sorry for myself I decided to go back to school to complete my degree. I threw myself into work and college in order to keep my mind off of my loneliness; I went from an active, healthy, happy lifestyle to a sedentary, unhealthy lifestyle. I did not realize the consequences of my new lifestyle until I saw a picture of myself ??? 80 pounds heavier and I looked old.

I decided to use the one spare hour a day that I had to exercise ??? my lunch hour. We have a modest weight room at my work and I immediately got on the treadmill and free weights. I lost five pounds over the next year and a half. A friend of a friend told me about kettlebells and an introduction class. I suited up and went to see what this was all about. I lasted 15 minutes of a 30 minute sample routine. I was so out of breath and sweating so much I could not believe this feeling. The 15 minutes consisted of standing in place or moving from side to side. I had not gotten this feeling on the treadmill jogging 5.5 mph for 30 minutes. I was truly amazed, but not convinced. Through my friends friend I was put in touch with Brad Nelson of Kinetic Edge. I contacted Brad and set up an introduction session for my entire family. This introduction session with Brad Nelson convinced me that kettlebells was as amazing as I thought. When I saw how Brad handled eight of my family members and three co-workers, and there were only two people in this group that were actually enthusiastic about attending and Brad had them all out of breath and sweating.

It is too late to make this long story short so I will get to my stats ??? I started with Brad in May of 2007, but I did not measure myself until June. From June to July I have lost 7 ?? inches ??? all off of my thighs, hips, waist, and bust (two pants sizes). According to my last doctor???s appointment, I have lost 15 pounds. I am nowhere near my goals, but I have the best start that I have had in years and THE CELLULITE IS GONE.

It is hard to explain kettlebells. It is something that you must experience, once you have experienced it you will know why and how it works. Brad Nelson is a great instructor; he is constantly changing the routines and challenging us to achieve more reps/more weight. I think the best thing about the entire experience has been Brad Nelson. Brad is intelligent, smart, and holds everybody accountable for their results.

10/10 Worth Every Moment

By Erinn / Minneapolis, MN

I have been a life long athlete, but all that work: the hours on the ice, and in the weight room, and on the track; well, they took their toll. After years of gaining and losing weight from both muscle and fat I had begun to plateau both physically and mentally; working out just to do it but not enjoying the time or work I was spending on my body. Then I met Brad.

I am part of the "4:30 am" crew - the group of us girls who wake up early multiple times a week to gather ourselves in our car and spend 30 minutes each way to visit Brad before work. Trust me when I say - IT IS WORTH EVERY MOMENT. Never in my life have I seen results so fast. Never have I been so strong. Never have I felt so fit, so confident, so happy in and out of the gym. I spent thousands of hours in the gym playing D1 Hockey, and I never reached the potential and muscular structure that I have now. I have muscles I didn't even know existed.

The best part of this experience? Being part of a team. I have a team of people with my morning crew (captained by Brad), who are there every step of the way supporting and encouraging me. We pick each other up and push each other to the limit because we believe in Brad and what he has to teach us and what he has provided. I have found a workout that allows me to enjoy life and does not impede, but rather strengthens, the other work I do (running, skating, etc).

I look forward to a thousand more early mornings and sore muscles and the smile on Brad's face when we have completed our 10th Swing ladder. Total Satisfaction. Totally worth every moment.

10/10 Prepare to Discover Your Potential

By Amy / George, IA

When I started working with Brad in January 2007, I thought I would just be getting a weekly kettlebell workout routine to follow and some nutrition advice. I couldn't have been more wrong!

What I've actually gotten is a more fulfilled life. Through his coaching, Brad has taught me how to listen to what my body is telling me. I didn't listen to my body before. I didn't know I could. It is empowering to understand my body like I do now.

Brad doesn't dictate a lifestyle to me. Instead he allows me to make choices and then be held accountable for the outcome - good or bad. Case in point: nutrition. I did not want to change my eating habits. Brad let me pay the consequences of that decision. When I was ready to change, he told me straight out what I NEEDED to hear, but didn't necessarily WANT to hear. In other words, he gave me a good, swift, verbal kick in the hind end. No sugar coating - just the truth.

I work with Brad via email and quarterly face-to-face sessions since I live 4 hours from him. Brad is very responsive and follows through quickly when I email him questions. If you don't have a kettlebell trainer close to you, I would highly recommend that you contact Brad for email training. It has worked well for me.

Yes, I've lost weight and body fat through my training with Brad. Yes, I am in the best shape I have probably ever been in. (I'm a 36 year old mother of two and a lifelong athlete.) Yes, I love the kettlebell and "old school" workouts Brad puts together for me.

BUT...... The reason I recommend Brad so highly is because he is a true teacher. A true teacher is someone who helps you discover the skills and knowledge you possess but just don't know how to tap into. A true teacher prepares you for the time when the teacher is not around to guide you. A true teacher sees the potential in you and leads you to see it too. A true teacher doesn't give you the answers; he asks the questions and makes you find the answers. Brad is true teacher.

Brad told me we still have some work to do. I'm anxious to discover what he sees in me. It is motivating to see if I can live up to his expectations. It is thrilling to know I am changing every day, not just physically, but mentally. I don't think it is possible to do one without the other.

If you're ready to find the person you really are, contact Brad TODAY!!!!

10/10 A must for Athletes

By Elsa / Minneapolis, MN

I will be playing Division 1 hockey in the fall, and this summer I was worried I would be unable to be "in shape" in time for the season start due to a diabitating surgery that kept me inactive til mid-july. Now I compare myself to other girls who will be on my team and have been working out all summer and I am stronger, faster, and fitter then the majority of them. I would love to say my superior athletic nature was the reason for this extreme growth, but it is not. The kettlebell workouts and Brad's amazing ability to coach and motivate is the reason why I have improved with leaps and bounds. Without him I would have serious misgivings about my ability to compete.

10/10 Can I please be Brad?

By Nora / Minneapolis

I was first introduced to Brad after a friend sent me one of his blogs; my response to her was, "I NEED to meet this man!" He was the re-energizer my workouts and nutrition so desperately needed: honest, balanced, smart, motivating, knowledgeable. He helped me eat healthier without being on a diet or, even worse, eating only "get buff" protein bars. He gave me workouts that are fun, varied, and above all, efficient - no more runs, then weights, then abs, then stretching...ugg. With Kettlebells, its all in 45 mintues, and it works every part of your body...and mind (Brad is so nice he even puts up with me consistently forgetting what rep I am on). I have done soccer, volleyball, track, olympic-style weight-lifting, yoga, pilates, cardio kick box - you name it - but NOTHING beats Brad. Plus, Brad not only kicks your butt, he also helps your pain: I had chronically tight hip-flexers and back pain until Brad showed me a few stretches (I was alsmot irritated that, after I had tried SO many things and consulted trainers, coaches, doctors, etc, Brad could "fix me" so easily). When I tell my friends I love getting up at 4:30 am to be at class at 5:30, they look at me as if I'd just told them crack was my new hobby. My only reply is that they have to get experience "the beatdown" for themselves. Thank you so much Brad!

10/10 He's the best

By Nicole / Minneapolis, MN

I have been working out with Kettlebells with Brad for almost 6 months now and I have really seen a difference in my energy level as well as my body size. I have lost about 5 pounds but have gone down two pants sizes (finally fitting back into the "goal pants!"). Here are some things that are great about Brad...Class is NEVER boring. I have never done the same workout twice. I have seen Brad push us to failure during a "beatdown," but I've also seen his gentler side when he was working with my 60-year old mother who has not exercised regularly in a few years. Brad has a great ability to work with all fitness levels and understand and reinforce each individual's true motivation. I am a previous Division I athlete who said I'd never ever do strength training again. I thought I'd stick with only running for exercise. And now I wake up to drive clear across town for a 5:30am kettlebell workout. Need I say more?

10/10 Passionate

By Martin R. Ebelhart / Minneapolis, MN

Brad,

It was a pleasure meeting you. On behalf of the Minneapolis Field Office, I think I can safely say that the troops found the demonstration both interesting and informative. Don't be too set back by the fact that most of them didn't have any questions. If your not familiar with law enforcement types, they warm up slowly!

I am always eager to work with folks who are passionate about whatever they do. You demonstrated, very clearly, your excitement and enthusiasm relative to this particular training method.

Hope to see you again real soon.

Take care,
