10/10 The Kettlebell Queen

By Steve Robin / Franklin Lakes, NJ

It's my pleasure to write this recommendation for Amy Restrepo, my workout partner and fellow RKC. Amy has an infectious personality, is great fun, and has that rare ability to make all of us, students and trainers alike, feel comfortable in her presence.
Amy's energy is contagious and her workouts are always interesting, as she is able to deftly combine kettlebell exercises with the best of what she has learned from her cross training background. (I admit it, I have stolen...ahem, "borrowed" many of her ideas)
In fact, my students really enjoy Amy's classes when she has subbed for me and respect her for her challenging and fun workouts. My only fear is that upon my return, I will be met with picket signs proclaiming "Amy, Amy Amy!" She is always very patient, yet has the ability to bring out the best in everyone, always pushing performance levels higher and higher. It is no small help that Amy is a real life model for what kettlebell training can do.....she has developed tremendous increases in strength and endurance and her already impressive athleticism has gone to another level. Her dedication and desire to constantly improve and strive for new goals is a wonderful example for her students. Yes, if you are looking for energy, enthusiasm, creativity, and fun, you could not be in better hands than with Amy, the Kettlebell Queen!!

10/10 The Princess of the Hard Style

By Christopher Toppo / Paramus, NJ

Amy is a natural-born teacher. She brings enthusiasm and high energy to her kettlebell training, sweeping you up into an exhilarating athletic learning experience that is nothing short of amazing. The difference between Amy and the average instructor is not only her dedication and ability to clearly explain kettlebell skills and present a fun variety of exercises, but the fact that she is very caring and participates with her students; Amy does not expect anything from her students that she cannot do herself. If a critical part of RKC's credo is tough love, Amy personifies it, and actually lives it during her lessons. I can't imagine training with anyone besides Amy, the Princess of the Hard Style.
