Outstanding! Vital for anyone interested in better mobility and flexibility. I highly recommend including Indian Clubs in your practice! I know that along with better mobility in my shoulders and upper back, my overall strength training practice will improve. I can’t wait to begin teaching these to my clients.

Brett, Jeff, Dustin and Dave are all outstanding instructors! They were each aware of my personal limitations and paid close attention to my form and technique so as not to cause further pain. I have only been in the Dragon Door community for a short period of time, but I’m consistently amazed at the level of instruction received at each workshop. My only gripe is that I don’t live close enough to any of them to further benefit from their deep knowledge base. I thank you all! You provide a stellar example of what I aspire to become as a trainer.

Super-fantastic overall!!

As a RKC Instructor I learned the importance of relaxed movement and the corrective way of Indian Club practice. And as a Veteran with PTSD I can see the benefit of movement and relaxation to help in my PTSD and other stress related issues.

Mr. Jones and all of the instructors are well traveled in training and have a lot of knowledge and they share it to us all. They are all fun to be around and learn from.

All the workshops Dragon Door have put together is always real good and serious in a way I haven’t found elsewhere.

We need a tension and relaxation both. Indian club swing is a relax movement. We should learn and practice this.

And Brett Jones and Dr. Thomas’s "rational training" is great concept. Going to gym to learn is like marital arts’ dozo in Asia. Originally, we (Asian people) thought gym is a school. But not now in Asia. So, I will introduce this great concept.

CICS workshop is more useful for me. Especially historical and social investigation.

CICS Indian Clubs provides a good sets of skills I can add to my CK-FMS capabilities. I feel like having a powerful tool I can add to a lot of work with my client. Indian Cubs may help you bridging the gap between corrections/rehab and training but will also help you to speed up performance results for a lot of my students.

Brett is always a good presenter. The team of instructors did a good job too guiding us into a "full" two day of Clubs Swinging and movement lectures that had run smoothly.

The good is that for my perspective. I.C. are applicable to a lot of athletic categories out there. Also general population will greatly benefits form centering more their training on quality and precision. The best aspect, actually, is that I.C. may need people to "reset" their minds on training, having them to rediscover movement in the perspective of quality.

I improved my balance in "relaxation and tension " during my club swinging. So I can perform a better and more efficient movement.

A very interesting certification. I love "old style" way of training and CICS fully matched my vision of training practice. Precision over weight, quality over quantity.

I always train myself and my clients with a great attention to QUALITY of movement and quality over quantity. So this workshop match my idea of training, becoming one of the most useful

Another great DD certification. In the spirit of the RKC, the Cert teaches and tunes technique. Provides teaching cues and corrective movements. A perfect complement to Hard Style Kettlebell teaching and training. Anyone interested in improving their kettlebell practice and teaching should take this workshop.

Brett is an excellent head instructor. His presentation is clear, engaging and humorous. O’Connor impresses me every time. I get a great teaching/coaching tool from him every cert. Whitley is quietly competent, engaging and very giving of his knowledge and experience. My 1st cert experience with Rippetoe… he gave me the best verbal cue of the weekend.

The quality and organization of the material presented was 1st class. The presentation kept the tasks manageable in small portions, than tied them together. And all instructors provided many ideas for applying club practice.

I received a wonderful education on the history of Indian Club Swinging and how it can be integrated into a training session.

I had a very beneficial workshop experience. Each of the trainers provided positive feedback, gently correcting the many flaws so that I was motivated to get better rather then discouraged. Through the teaching methods and training techniques demonstrated. I can see how this knowledge and methodology can be passed onto students.

Brett and his team are very knowledgeable. I appreciate the relaxed, positive atmosphere. Dustin was very good about offering individual tips.

A fantastic way to rehab shoulders, open up hips and work on all kinds of kinks. A form of art that needs to be brought back due to its restorative qualities.

I thought that I was fairly mobile, until I started swinging those clubs in (a proper form) all kinds of issues surfaced from head to toe and I realize how compromised many of my movement patterns were. Got a lot of homework to do.

I enjoyed the crew and their relaxed mannerism, which set a cool atmosphere for the cert.

My personal skill level in performing the five moves improved dramatically. I have confidence to continue training on y own knowing what to look for to improve my swinging. Having a variety of instructors, in addition to Brett, was great. It was beneficial to hear from others in they started personally, how they’ve improved and the experience they’ve had teaching others.

I came into this workshop very hesitant in my swinging abilities. I left feeling much more confident in knowing how it should look, even when I don’t get there always. My swinging improved and I feel more confident introducing Indian Clubs to my clients. They do a great job of teaching you how to teach others!

I thought Brett and his team did a great job. It was easy to see their passion for Indian Clubs.

As all Dragon Door workshops do, it covers three bases. It checks and improves you for your own skill. It verifies and improves your own understanding of what is taught. Finally, it makes sure you are skilled in conveying the information to others. The depth of knowledge of the instructions and material is superior to other workshops I’ve taken.

Worth every penny! Learning to pattern things correctly as opposed to trying to do it by yourself is a huge difference. The little detail seemed to make the biggest difference. Very happy with quality of instruction and information shared.

Precision, much like martial arts, which I can relate to. Very practical for both myself and the people I work with. Enough material to have something to work on, but not too overwhelming.

This was a great workshop. I was far more challenged than I anticipated when coming here. The workshop helped me to identify ways to fix "known holes" and identified areas where I didn’t realize I had problems. That alone, regardless of whether I become certified, was worth the price of admission.

As always Brett did an excellent job of instruction. This is difficult material to present given the complexities and nuances of each movement. Brett did a great job of conveying those. David, Jeff, and Dustin all contributed to the overall quality of instruction; each one added something unique to the material presented.

This training was on a par with other training I have received. If anything, due to restorative and rehab effects, this training is probably the most valuable I have had to date.

It is a lot of information in a short period of time. It is organized and broken down in an efficient manner. Brett was really good and communicated his knowledge really well while making you feel comfortable at the same time. The team was all very professional as well as being good natured. I was impressed and pleased overall.

Overall it was excellent and I would recommend it.

It was a great experience. It provided me with a whole new spectrum of tools that I can use to help improve my clients’ lives. I think it is a perfect complement to any strength training program.

I thought the knowledge of the instructors was top notch and second to none. As has been the case with every Dragon Door cert.

Club swinging is a totally new aspect of training for me and I am excited to see how it carries over and benefits other areas of my training both for my self and my clients.

As expected, I was completely satisfied with this workshop. I learned what I needed to correct and improve my personal technique as well as a system of screening, testing and assessing to progress introduction of clubs to others. Spending a weekend amongst similarly motivated students and instructors makes things all the better.

The instructors: Elite, Dedicated, Available, Approachable, Common, Passionate, Prepared.

Being able to meet RKC instructors for first time and be shown the respect and interest I was – was beyond flattering and my sentiment after lunch Sunday was nothing short of euphoric

Amazing learning experience. As usual with DD workshops, it shed light on new techniques to ensure lasting progress.

They all did great. Brett, obviously, knows his stuff. I really liked the instructors’ input on how they use clubs every day.

Loved it!!

I had an idea (thought I did) of what the CICS would be but the workshop far exceeded my expectations. A great weekend and worth the trip.

All the instructors were very helpful and ready to give feedback to the movements. As usual the Dragon Door staff and instructors were great. Brett Jones and his teaching will help in keeping this lost art alive!

Once again, Dragon Door provided a great workshop and a opportunity to learn from high quality instructors. The CICS was a "learn by doing" workshop which at least for me helps in the learning process. Well run and worth the trip. Thx.

It was a great weekend with tons of priceless tips and info.

I was in Brett’s group at my RKC. The amount of knowledge he has is incredible. All 3 assistant instructors were very interactive and provided some great insight into training as well as clubs.

Having an FMS and corrective exercise background, this workshop will easily transition into my training style. Most workshops I have been to, I went to in order to improve on what I knew. This workshop was a completely new thing to me.

It was a very good experience, like all the DD workshops I’ve attended. It was good to be in small group of people, in my opinion.

Being used to the RKC kind of atmosphere, I’d say that this weekend was completely different. I really enjoyed the "released atmosphere".

Instructors were top notch. Size of class allowed for interaction with instructors and created excellent environment for learning.
I found Brett to be an excellent teacher with a rare combination of outstanding technical knowledge presented with humility, humor and the ability to make me not feel like I didn’t know anything or couldn’t learn this.

Excellent instructors, adequate space and equipment so there was plenty of time for practice.

The instructors delivered the information in an interesting and easy to understand way. All instructors are professional and have really deep training knowledge.

Steve Holiner, New York, NY

The CICS did not disappoint. I learned so much more than I ever could from a DVD. Brett and the team did a great job.

This was my second cert with Brett and he was excellent as always. The relaxed nature of this workshop was a nice contract to the RKC. The rest of the instructors were very knowledgeable and open to questions and feedback. It was a great group.

I loved that there was so much hands on time with the clubs. It helped some complicated movements sink in. The quality was excellent.

Two very well invested days!

They are skilled, for sure, but what I just said – they are more competent in other areas in training, that makes it more useful to see the whole picture. A lot of working in pairs and learning in groups – good! It’s an instructor course!

Matthew Brocklebank, Hyogo-Ken, Japan

Invaluable information for progressing in club swinging, essential information for teaching others.

Excellent, instructions were clean and reasons for doing then were well explained. Instructors worked well as a group to make sure that everyone understood, and were on hand throughout the workshop to answer questions and give advice.

Very good. Relaxed atmosphere without losing focus of what was important and whilst keeping a well organized group. Good fun!

The only way to truly experience what Indian Clubs offer is to receive the personal tutoring. On my own it was too easy to fool myself that technique was good on movements never performed correctly. Impressed to discover the restorative nature of club swinging. This was not only restricted to the shoulder but involved the body as a whole.

As usual, high quality and deep knowledge demonstrated by all instructors.

Like all Dragon Door courses the course was well organized, well presented, and of the high quality that I expected.
