Efficient movement and physical strength are not only important to excel in sports. They are equally essential to improve the quality of life by making it easier and more enjoyable to be physically active and to accomplish one's daily tasks. Refining her clients' movement skills and strengthening their bodies lies at the heart of Anita's work as a Pilates Instructor and Personal Trainer.

With her extensive background in various training and exercise modalities, she is adept at working with those looking to improve their athletic performance, as well as those who require special considerations because of injuries or chronic illness. In her sessions, she likes to challenge clients in a supportive environment in order to give them a great movement experience, regardless of their physical abilities and skill levels. It is important to Anita that clients leave a session feeling better, stronger, and fitter.

Anita discovered her love for movement when she attended her first Ballet class as a child. Since then, she has continuously studied and trained in numerous dance and movement techniques, as well as fitness modalities. Her credentials include Mat and Equipment Pilates certifications from The Kane School of Core Integration and a Personal Trainer certification from The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Additionally, she is a certified Kettlebell Instructor (RKC II), a certified FRC® Mobility Specialist (FRCms) & Level 1 Kinstretch® Instructor, a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, and she is licensed to teach the Pilates for Buff Bones® program.

In 2010, Anita completed the Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries (FAMI) Workshop, a medical immersion course for movement professionals. Further coursework includes TRX® Suspension Training, Pre/Postnatal Pilates, Scoliosis, Pilates for Breast Cancer Survivors and clients with MS, and Shiatsu Massage with Cara Michelle Miller. Over the years, she has studied with Kelly Kane, Madeline Black, Irene Dowd, Rebekah Rotstein, Kuan Hui-Chew, and Dean Somerset.  She consistently strives to expand her skills and knowledge in order to better serve her clients.

Anita graduated from the American Musical & Dramatic Academy and subsequently earned her MFA in Creative Writing with a concentration in Poetry from the New School in New York.
