10/10 Outstanding Trainer

Amanda is an excellent trainer. She listened to my needs and what I wanted to accomplish, as well as certain physical limitations, and created a custom work out plan based on my input and her experience. She also didn't hesitate to give me advice and guidance about parts of my plan that needed to be done differently. It was a collabortive partnership that I appreciated after working with trainers who took a cookie-cutter approach to programming my training. At every session, Amanda always checks in to see how my workouts are going and provides useful input on form and suggests improvements. She definitely goes out of her way to make sure you are doing exercises properly to prevent injury. I have always wanted to learn how to do kettlebell workouts and am grateful to Amanda for helping me learn this type of workout. Anyone thinking about learning how to use kettlebells safely and effectively should work with Amanda. I can't recommend her highly enough. She is an intelligent and capable instructor who makes pushing yourself to the limit both challenging and enjoyable.

I started training with Amanda about a year ago. Before training with her, I rarely went to the gym or worked out. And if I did go, I'd walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes and call it a day. I also always thought of myself as physically weak. My whole outlook on personal health and fitness has changed since I started training with Amanda. Through her advice and motivation, I have much healthier eating habits. She also pushes me to try new workouts and to make existing workouts more difficult. I used to consider 5lb weights to be "heavy". Now I can lift a lot more weight, and I can do it without hurting myself. Amanda emphasizes proper technique and form to reduce the risk of injury. She creates a fun and safe environment where I'm able to try new things and keep pushing myself. Amanda always keeps me positive and motivated to stay on track. If I'm kicking myself over eating an extra cookie or not working out as much, she's always able to help me see a new opportunity for improvement going forward. Amanda helped me to realize the importance and possibility of creating a healthier lifestyle for myself that I can enjoy, maintain, and be proud of. She's an amazing trainer because her help expands much farther than an actual training session. She has truly made a positive impact on my life.

In April 2016, after an initial body assessment and consultation about my fitness goals, I began a once weekly personal training session with Amanda. Over the past 8 months, I have found her to be a dedicated professional and effective trainer. She takes the time to listen to my fitness goals and develops creative training workouts that challenge me. She educates me on anatomy, exercise physiology, and nutrition, demonstrates correct form, and effectively communicates exercise selection, order of exercises, sets and reps, and technique. During our sessions, Amanda is totally focused on me. She watches how I move, offers tips, provides feedback, and offers lots of encouragement. I trust Amanda and know that she has my best interests at heart. She is patient but can motivate at the same time. She pushes me further than I could push myself. When I meet with Amanda, her energy and optimism project on to me and I am able to work harder. My training sessions are fun and I look forward to them each week. And I'm seeing results!

I've been working with Amanda for about 4 months or so now. I look forward to our time together. She meets me where I am and helps me get better from there. A couple things I've noticed about changes in how I feel/move: my core strength has really improved as well as my sense of balance.

When I started my knees were sore, my back ached, I had a very hard time with steps, even easy tasks. I've been going to Amanda once or twice a week for 3 months now and I'm like a new person. I'm not achy, I move around a lot more and it's a lot easier too! I'm doing planks, squats, kettle bells, weights, I row, etc. Each week my endurance gets better too. She even helps me with nutrition. She gets that I'm older and it's been a long time since I've worked out. She doesn't let be use it as an excuse but she also takes it down a notch so I am able to succeed.

I enrolled in a 3-session personal trainer class when I join the gym I had never been to a gym before and I have generally hated exercising all my life. I was paired with Amanda and she could not have been a more perfect fit for me. She was encouraging and supportive without being overbearing or too pushy. She showed me how to do a squat correctly even though I was sure I could never do one. I like the fact that she emphasized doing an exercise correctly and watched each one to make sure I had not picked up bad form. Her attention and focus was always on me. The 1 hour session time always flew by. I could never believe we were done. I always left feeling good, not too achy. Amanda is very talented at what she does and is a great person as well.

Amanda is an excellent trainer that cares about their clients. I have trained with her for few months now, and during this time she has taught me how to squad, dead lift, do leans and kettlebell swings. She pays close attention to the execution of each exercise to make sure you are doing it properly. She is careful about injuries and makes sure that you are not overworking yourself. I would recommend her anytime.

I have been working with Amanda since the beginning of 2016. I feel like this has been the training I've needed to move forward with my weight loss and overall transformation. After two months of working with Amanda I've noticed more muscle definition and overall increased strength. I leave my sessions with Amanda feeling more powerful than I've ever felt. Amanda is very encouraging and easy to work with, but that doesn't mean she'll take it easy on you. She pushes me harder than I've ever been pushed. I love it! Thank you Amanda!!

Amanda is entirely too humble in her bio because she is definitely the best! I have been training with Amanda since August 2015 and she has completely flipped my fitness world upside down. I was a recent college grad and ex college athlete and completely unmotivated to make any healthy lifestyle changes. One day, I decided to pick up the phone and call my gym to set up a consultation with a personal trainer. I was randomly paired with Amanda and from the first moment I met her I knew that she was not only going to kick my butt, but also be someone I could completely open up to and genuinely enjoy being around. She is super sweet, funny, honest, approachable, accommodating, positive and my biggest cheerleader inside and outside of the gym. Like her, I was stuck in the mindset of only going to the gym and getting on the treadmill or elliptical. Since August, I have learned everything from squats to dead lifts to kettle bell swings to PULL UPS which is something I never thought I would be able to do again. She has completely opened my eyes to a part of exercise I never thought I would enjoy as much as I do now. She also has helped me make a healthier diet plan and is always willing to arrange and create personal workouts for me to hit on areas I really want to focus on (i.e. we are now emphasising arm workouts because I have a wedding coming up). This ended up being way longer than I had planned, but that is truly because there aren't enough good things to say about Amanda. I have been extremely blessed to have met her and have her by my side throughout my fitness journey thus far and you would be too!

Amanda was my trainer for a three session workout at the J. She is very positive and gives clear directions. She works you hard. I learn how to do squats, row in good form, planks, upper body exercises with the kettleball. I highly recommend Amanda if you want to get fit and learn to live healthier. She also talks on making good choices on what you eat and nutrition.

Amanda is a true professional personal trainer and a delight to work with. She will help you determine your immediate and long term health goals, then show you a plan in how to achieve them. I was most impressed with her showing me how to do short bursts of intense exercise, followed by short rests, then repeating intense exercise. I would get a great workout in a short period of time. Amanda will make sure you have the proper form to maximize the effectiveness of each particular movement. She is a great teacher and makes people feel comfortable with their abilities, That said, she will challenge you to push harder after you feel comfortable performing the exercise. Amanda also taught me how do proper dead lifts. In the past, my form would make my back hurt. She instructed me on the proper form to ensue that my butt and legs do all the work. Amanda is a very capable, knowledgeable, professional, and fun to work with personal trainer. You will like her!
