Tamas started to do martial arts when he was about 9. He was learning Shotokan-karate for about 1,5 years. After a little gap he returned and started to learn AIKIDO in Oct 1993. He spent 10 years with learning the system and gained the 1st DAN in May 2003. In Oct 2003 he visited a Krav-Maga seminar in Budapest and realised he found "THE" self defence system. Then he started to train KM in November. After Tamas moved to England he picked up KM again in Reading under the tuition of the english KM Director, Mr. Nick Maison. In February 2007 Tamas passed the KM Instructor Course and started to teach in Reading and all around Thames-Valley previously with the Institute of KM, recently with Total Krav Maga and Mr. Nick Maison (Director of Training UK). After spending 3.5 years with Nick finally Tamas decided to go independent and set up TNT Academy in Oct. 2010. The club is teaching Kettlebell and Krav Maga in the Thames Valley and along the M4 corridor.

10/10 Awesome Kettlebell Instructor

By Chris Strong / Reading, UK

For years I have tried different methods of strength training and weight loss exercises, but I have always had only small gains from everything I have tried however in 2009 I met Tamas when I began learning Krav Maga, I quickly realised that he is an excellent instructor and have learnt much from him with regards KM.

In early 2011 Tamas persuaded me to try Kettlebells, I did not believe that working with Kettlebells would be any different from anything else I had tried but I was very wrong. I am now a complete Kettlebell convert and train at least 4 times a week. This is 100% down to the expert way that Tamas has instructed me on the most efficient and productive ways to exercise using the kettlebells.

I have recently finished an 8 week course that was run by Tamas during which I was shown numerous exercises using the kettlebell but was also instructed on the correct ways to warm up, to lift and move the bell without risk of injury, the most efficient way of breathing whilst exercising and guidance on the different methods of exercising i.e. standard reps, pyramids, ladders or my favourite working against the clock.

By introducing me to Kettlebell and teaching me in such a professional way Tamas has had a massive positive impact on my life, I have lost weight, I feel stronger, I feel healthier and my flexibility has increased greatly. Thank you Tamas, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your time, expertise and patience.

I met Tamas through my husband who learnt kettle bell techniques from him.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and am continuing to enjoy the discipline.
Tamas was very helpful and tried his best to make thing easy for me,
being firm but fair throughout. I would alway recommend Tamas to anybody.

10/10 About Tamas

By Rash Jabble / Wexham, Bucks

I've had the priveledge of being tutored by Tamas in both Krav Maga and Russian Kettlebells over the last 5 years.
He's a consummate professional whose greatest assets are his abilities to facilitate the discovery of supreme self confidence and the realisation of limitless self betterment.
With a very informal teaching style he's none the less fully versed in Health & safety, whilst bringing humour to his sessions. He also has an extensive knowledge of the human physique and therefore encourages one to strive to perfect their form.
It has been a pleasure training with and learning from Tamas and I highly recommend him to anyone thinking of taking up either discipline.

Tamas has an infectious enthusiasm for kettlebells. He's fantastically knowledgeable and inspires confidence from the word go.

He not only has a great ability to explain and demonstrate a technique but then has an amazing eye when it comes to supervising a student and correcting errors in applying the technique. He seems to have limitless patience when it comes to analysing why things are going wrong. He understands that no two students are ever the same and revels in the challenge of helping you reach your training goals and beyond. He promotes good form at all times and will not let you get away with sloppy application of the techniques he teaches.

Don't expect trumpet fanfares when you apply his words of wisdom correctly, they won't be forthcoming but look out for the occasional beaming smile. When you see one of these you'll know things are going in the right direction.

If you're looking for an instructor who listens to you and will adapt his method of training to suit you, then you can't do better than train with Tamas.

10/10 About Tamas

By Adam Taylor / UK

I have been training with Tamas for the past 3 months, I wanted to get instruction from the very beginning of my kettlebell training.

I found Tamas to be an excellent instructor and his knowledge was very vast and his teaching points were spot on.

I would advise anyone looking to train with Kettlebells, to learn the basics from an instructor, there is only so much you can learn from videos, it's just not the same as having someone there helping and advising you.

Tamas is a great guy and I really looked forward to training with him, he was very Accommodating and came from Reading to my house in Newbury.

I've trained with Tamas one-to-one for about a good 3 months in the UK. What I like about training with him the most is that he is extremely aware of health & safety precautions. Also, he is a qualified P.E. teacher and knows a lot about anatomy and always explains what a particular exercise is good for. His knowledge about different types of martial arts adds to the quality of his trainings, as well.

Training with him is a lot of fun as he keeps the balance between good jokes and hard work.

I definitely recommend him to both ladies and gentlemen who want to get or stay in shape with kettlebell training.

10/10 About Tamas Herold

By Daniel Kovacs / Budapest, Hungary

I know Tamas for high school, we begun to learn AIKIDO and KRAV MAGA together.
He's not only one of my best friends, if he's not THE best, but a very talented and efficient trainer!
Last but not least, Tamas is doing sports continously since I new him and he's a REAL theacher, or game master WITH A DIPLOME!
If you can trust your children to a person, that person maybe going to be good enough for yourself too...

Just a story:
Tamas and his family already lived in England, when my wife and me started the kettlebell here, in Hungary. I do it for nearly a year now.
We visited them in novembre, and of course, we did some practice together too.
After five minutes of training Tamas stopped me and said: Wait, wait! It's okay like this too but...
...and he listed all my faults, all my bad movements, he explained why it's bad, why it could be bad, and showed immediatelly some tricks, how to correct them.

So I can say that after nearly one year of practicing KB, I got more efficient and I can work really safely and effectively only since this five minutes with Tamas!
