10/10 You should get up at 5:30 am and pay this guy to punch you in the stomach

By Kevin Teague / Vancouver, BC, Canada

Steve's classes are fun and easy going, but he really keeps a good eye on you. When I started learning the kettlebells, I had the worst case of shoulder shrugging ever and a really rounded back. Steve really keeps a good eye on his class, so you don't make the same mistakes in form over and over and drills them out of you. He's also got a lot of kettlebell knowledge, even after three months of class at three days I week I was still learning refinements in the basic kettlebell moves. Highly recommended!

10/10 RKC Kettle bell worksho[

By Jill Hurst / Kelowna, BC Cananda

Steve has not only been an inspiration to me as a trainer but he has been a mentor to me and the development of my own training business. He is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in a wide variety of areas within the fitness industry and his personality shines above all others!! His RKC Training camp was a hit for both myself and several of my apprentice trainers and bootcampers. Steve was able to teach us the fundamentals of the kettle bell within a short period of time and his expertise and thoroughness enabled us to walk away from the workshop with confidence in our ability to work with this specific training method in a safe and most effective manner! He educated us on the mechanics of each move and showed us how to get a kick butt workout in a very short period of time! I look forward to our next workshop/ workout!!

0/10 I learned a significant amount in a 1 1/2 hour seminar

By Al Heinemann / Vancouver, B.C.

I just spent an afternoon with Steve McMinn taking his introduction to kettlebells workshop. I am a trainer myself who recently acquired a couple of kettlebells and I had been studying Pavel's books and watching kettlebell videos and reading articles on the internet. I am someone who spends alot of time studying and trying to learn everything I can about a number of training modalities.

First of all let me say that Steve is a really disarming, approachable, guy. More importantly though, Steve is very knowlegeable, precise and skilled. Most importantly, he is a very good teacher. Some trainers have one or two of these qualities. When you find someone with all three then consider yourself lucky and take the opportunity to learn!

10/10 A size smaller!

By Maureen McEvoy / Vancouver, BC

Embedded in Steve McMinn's sadistic insistence that I can do one more push-up (and not from the knees!) or dead lift the heavier Kettlebell, is a quirky sense of humour, a solid foundation of knowledge and genuine support to help me achieve my fitness goals. Steve works me hard and I complain (a lot!).But I keep coming back for more ... I've dropped a dress size and gained muscle definition! "

10/10 steve's power half hour just keeps on going...

By Natalie Meyer / Vancouver, BC Canada

Believe its been over 3 years, maybe even 4, that Steve's been leading me in twice a week "half hour of power" sessions... now that is some staying power, just did the calculations: over 150 sessions!

I am constantly amazed at how "new" he can make every session feel, always changing up the plan and keeping things fresh and fun.

It must also have something to do with his perfect combination of knowledge, skill, humour and honest compassion for his clients to succeed in not just their personal health goals but also in life. Luckily he doesn't charge extra for sharing his psychological insights during most sessions!

10/10 Steve got me REAL power for REAL life

By Sam Maltby / Tofino, BC, CAN

I've been training on my own for 15 years, and it wasn't until my training with Steve and the Kettlebell that I saw real results in such a short amount of time.. in just a few weeks i was bounding up the stairs to my condo, lifting heavy boxes at work with ease.. i feel way more balanced, strong, and alligned. My posture has improved ten-fold, and so has my surfing (after 3 long years of trying).. Thanks Steve.. couldn'tve done it without you!!

9/10 Consistency is the key..!!

By Ken Morgan / Vancouver, Canada

Steve McMinn has really shown me to "work smarter" rather than harder. Simple effective work-outs done consistently have led to lower bodyfat and more muscle.

10/10 My first REAL push-up!

By Sandy Mckellar / Vacouver, BC

Kettle Bells??? What were they - I had no idea, but I had been doing traditional gym workouts for ten years (even trained as an aerobics instructor) and my routine was stale and boring. Kettle Bells seemed like something new and exciting.

Steve made me feel comfortable and confident in trying something new. He celebrates successes, no matter how small they may seem. His whole body (and mind) approach to fitness really worked for me, because our bodies are a system and all the bits have to work together (strong abs with weak everything else is not useful!). I gained a new level of fitness in four months with Steve that I never achieved in ten years on my own.

But my biggest celebration came the day I completed a full body push-up! I was elated! Thanks Steve.

10/10 Fit and Fun

By Connie Linder / Vancouver, British Columbia

Not only has Steve greatly improved my post-forties physique, I enjoy his quirky humour and extensive knowledge. I look forward to my workouts!

10/10 Steve has reversed my biological clock

By Irvin Sumter-Freitag / Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

When I met Steve I had just undergone my 8th coronary by-pass, had high blood pressure and was a diabetic with my sugars barely under control. I couldn't ride my bike or even walk up a flight of stairs without holding onto the rail. I could do no pushups or pullups and needed to hold onto the arms of a chair to sit down. That was barely 1 year ago.

Today I am 12 lbs lighter, 4 inches slimmer, can bounce up long flights of stairs, do full (on my haunches) squats, do almost 3 consecutive pullups (I'm real close to 3) almost unlimited numbers of sets of 5 pushups, and actually run on a treadmill (5.5 mph at a bit of a slope)flat out for a full minute - and not throw up afterwords.

My blood sugars have stabilized, my HDLs, LDLs and Triglicerides are in a normal range (they never were before)and my blood pressure is in the 118/68 range (previously was 165/135).

I'm not a great swimmer, but my strength increases have allowed me to more than double my distance (I'm now at the swimming level of an average 12 year old boy) - but it's a serious improvement for me. As soon as the weather improves a bit, I'm going to take up roller blading, and while I used to bowl occaisionally, I'm now thinking that tennis might be more fun.

I now have a spring in my step, my posture has improved dramatically, and my chiropractor probably thinks that I've moved away or died (I should send him a card).

In case you're wondering, I'll be 64 shortly, although I feel like I'm in my mid to late 40's, and that's only after 1 year (almost)

The only thing wrong with this rating system is that it only goes to 10. I personally would give Steve a 14 or 15. His knowledge, his patience, and his sense of humour made working-out bearable when I hated going to the gym, and now provides me with something to look forward to every time I'm going to work out with him, and even makes working out by myself pleasurable.

10/10 You must train with Steve

By Mike Prosser RKC / Thousand Oaks California USA

Steve is an amazing individual. He is personable and genuine. I had a great time as his teamate at RKC San Jose 2009. Kettlebell training can seem intimidating. Steve's easygoing and funny personality will put you at ease and open your mind for true results the RKC way.
