Pavel's best work... Rated 10 out of 10

Power to the People Monthly is Pavel's best work and that is saying something! Yes I work closely with Pavel and get to pick his brain at different times but this is information I have never seen and it is awesome.

"Easy Strength" from the second edition should be required reading for every strength coach, coach and personal trainer - it encapsulates how to train athletes (and the rest of us) and lays the blueprint for you to follow. This alone would be worth the subscription and he is going to do it again next month.

It isn't the length of the monthly newsletter - It is the Content! I am still re-reading the first two editions and starting to implement the information.

To The Party:

- I got these at the Level II (thank you Dennis!), but I've only had a chance to read over them very carefully now (since I'm on vaca).

- I have to say...if you still have a chance to get the back issues, GET THEM. There's a TON of stuff in there that you won't find in the books. ANY books. The issue on training athletes and fighters beats most books that I have. Considering that it's a newsletter...that's pretty ridiculous.

- If you're REALLY serious into strength training, this is a must. I've pored over about 2 or 3 (didn't just scan them), and I'm so impressed with the density of the material. Pavel's writing is direct, detailed, and full of references.

- In many ways, now that I have these, I'm sad that he stopped writing them. Wish there was more. But considering the amount of info put, and how carefully The Chief wrote each issue, I can imagine how time consuming this project must have been.

- Highly recommended!

The information contained in Power to the People Monthly is exactly the type of information I have always needed, but didn't even know existed, let alone where to find it. I have sought to get stronger as an adjunct to my sports/professional interests, but the information I was able to find in the past was either geared to bodybuilders or powerlifters, neither of which worked too well when combined with the practice of a physically demanding sport or profession.

PTTPM shows you how to apply the lessons learned in powerlifting, Olympic lifting, strongman, and other pure strength sports to your athletic goals outside thoses areas.

I find at least one item of direct value to my training in each issue, and often entire issues seem to be written for my specific needs.

In the year and a half since I began using Pavel's training methods, I have met and exceeded strength goals that I had given up on years ago. I have been forced to revise my goals sharply upwards!

Apparently, Pavel can't write books and produce DVD's fast enough to get his seemingly infinite supply of training tips into the public arena; hence, his newsletter. At age 55 with a physically demanding job, I'm not likely to get much use out of these advanced training regimens, but Pavel has already covered the Beginner/Intermediate stuff... what else is he supposed to do? I, like so many others, am intensely jealous AND happy for those who are able to use this info and I still find it very interesting. Pavel, if you write it, I'll read it. And yes, aging has taught me about "easy strength" and NOT working to failure - thanks for the reminder.

I really liked the content. I see that other reviewers would like to see more information geared toward the average, or not so competitive strength athlete, and I understand that. I would like to see more too. However, it is still filled with good information that can be put into practical use by athletes and trainers alike. I loved this newsletter at first - I mean, to learn from Pavel is to learn from the best! But now it has very little content for the (above!) average weight trainer who want to work out more effectively AND have a life. Now it seems aimed at the diehard gym rat, who can take a year off from his family and job to reach a new personal best in the snatch and pull or whatever...
But I did enjoy the good stuff I could actually use when you had it, and I certainly wish you success with the new demographic you are targeting.

Very informative and not just on one topic. The articles are just what you would expect from one of Pavel's books and is a good fix to hold you over when anxiously awaiting the next copy of hardsyle and the even rarer output of Pavel's books. Only draw back is have more info to choose from on training and a simple impatient mind like mine might get dizzy. (only reason 9 out of 10 is because I have only seen one issue), that being said......
I never seen so much info on various topics in just a few pages (don't let the size of the package full you, its like a pamplet on steroids).

Pavel once again proves why he is the most respected strength authority in this country! PTP monthly has a wealth of strength information in it. As a former drug free and drug free-gear free, state-national champion and record holder i thought i had read it or seen it all when it comes to strength information. But in the past 6 years since "discovering" pavel, i have learned more than the previous 20+ years combined. There is no doubt in my mind that with gear i could of added 50-75 pounds to my total and gear free easily 50 pounds using pavel's techniques and advice. My only regret is that i did not learn these "secrets" when i was 25 years younger! Even though i no longer compete (pavel has me seriously considering it though)his information is no nonsense and can be used by regular guys who have no desire to be roid freaks but aspire to get as strong as their genetics will take them. Using pavel's techniques have help me conquer 2 of the 3 lifts with the beast, needed to attain "hall of fame status". (I think I will be the oldest and heaviest member when the third lift falls, again unthinkable without pavel's invaluable advice). My babushka is off to the "evil russian"! Pavel's the man!
