8/10 Excellent suggestions for workout scheduling

I took a kettlebell class - approximately 50 minutes, twice a week - that was suggested by my physical therapist for hip and knee pain. Six weeks later I was able to test the KB's effectiveness during my trail marathon in Calistoga, CA. I had NO PAIN during the run and minimal soreness afterward. To keep up the training I got du Canes' KB Goddess workout and my favorite pairing is Nike/Odyne. At first I didn't think the DVD was going to work me as hard as the group class, but with a little tweaking and back-to-back workouts it's a keeper! Thank you to Andrea for the .pdf with the workout suggestions, it's kept me on schedule!

Overall this is a great product. With the K-bell included you can get started right away. I purchased this so I could have a second 18lb. K-bell along with the workout DVD.
The workouts are varied and interesting. I like that I can have a different follow along workout every time I load up the DVD. Being fairly new to K-bells, these workouts really make me work hard and stretch my limits. In short, they kick my behind. I've really had a workout when I'm done and am usually sore the next day. I also like that there are variations within the exercises, for instance doing windmills with one or two K-bells and showing the ladies doing the variations.
The only down side is that when I need to take a breather between sets or exercises, I'm scrambling for the remote to pause the DVD. I'm sure that as I get in better shape and am able to follow along all the way thru a workout without needing that breather it will no longer be an issue.

This is a great kit! The DVD has plenty of different workouts, so I can change it up. The customer service is great, too. They responded to my emails quickly, and replaced my DVD (it skipped) without any questions. Even refunded the shipping charge for the disk. Thanks!!

I bought the Women's 18lb Kettlebell workout because I needed a change form my regular workout routine. I love that the workouts are no longer than 30 minutes and using the kettleball really enhances the workout!
The routines are easy to follow and you can easily build your strength and endurance.
The fact that there are targeted workouts is a real plus!

7/10 Not Quite for Beginners

I give the 18lb Ultimate Kettlebell Workout Kit high marks for quality of product. However, I have already shelved this DVD in search of a more instructional one. The Kettlebell Goddess workouts presume that one has mastered the basics. As I am not even close to doing so, I will have to save this one for later. Again, high quality, but not for beginners.

I bought Andrea Du Cane's Kettlebell Goddess Workout DVD with the 18lb kettlebell. The DVD is awesome. I have done all of the workouts on it and can say that those workouts are some of the most intense and effective I've ever done.
When I ordered my kit I was unsure of what weight of kettlebell to order. I have done weight lifting in the past, but the last 3 years have focused more on cardio. I guess my previous weight lifting experience gave me more confidence than I should have had when I choose to go with the 18lb kettlebell. I found the 18lb kettlebell to be too heavy for me and wish I would have ordered a smaller weight to start out with. But I hope to be strong enough to handle this amount of weight soon.
If you're serious about developing strength, this is a great workout routine!

I think that this video is a great workout. I had been working out on an elliptical before this and I couldn't work out for half as long with the kettlebell. The only thing I don't like is that the stretches after the workout aren't enough.

I love this workout. I am new to kettlebell workouts and this one is great. I have tried two other DVD's and this one has so many options and really explains the moves. I can't wait to increase my kettlebell weight also. The kettlebell with the kit is comfortable to use with each movement.

4/10 Would be better with a workbook

This is a good program but suffers from the lack of a workbook. I don't have a DVD player in my exercise space so it's hard to remember the details even when I've written down the sequence.
If you're a relative beginner, as I am, I'd strongly recommend the Tough Love book-dvd set over this dvd, as being more comprehensive.
