The Russian Twist Abs Smoker - Even More Russian with a Kettlebell
You might be familiar with 'the Russian twist' exercise midsection drill. Mix it with 'the hot potato' from the arsenal of Senior RKC Jeff Martone, Senior RKC, and your dear abbies will be crying.
Sit on the deck and palm a kettlebell with its handle down. Keep your wrist rigid and press your elbow against your torso. Tense your glutes and abs and lean back until you are almost falling back.
Pass the kettlebell from hand to hand like a hot potato. Your hips will naturally turn. Keep your mouth closed and breathe sharply through your nose like a boxer. The drill especially kicks butt when you are sucking wing after swings.
