To Whom It may Concern,

I found out about John via the web and Brett Jones (Pittsburg, PA) and contacted him for an introductory lesson in the use of kettlebells. I found John very helpful, accomodating with his schedule, and eager to help aquaint me with the safe and proper use of RKC's.

When we met John proved to be very knowledgable, articulate, and quite good at explaining what he wanted to convey to me about safe performance of techniques and the nuances of the basic movements (swing, clean, snatch, and Turkish get-up).

All in all, I would highly recommend John to anyone, beginner to more advanced. Thank you

10/10 Fixed my technique!

John and I spent one hour and in that hour he brought me back to basics. I had used Pavel's CDs and, albeit they are good, they are no substitution for some live assistance. I had many small technique (and a few big like breathing) items that were holding me back. Result, great strength increases, more structure to my exercises and nice gains in strength. I cycle (bicycle) and my strength on hills has added 2mph up routine hills I climb in Bucks County as a result of my strength gains in my legs. Spend an hour with John, its worth it.

I have been taking kettlebell classes and studying Shim Gum Do with John Heinz for over a year now, 2x a week, and i rarely miss a class. Having moved recently, i am now considerably further away from the dojo but I still make it a point to go. In part this is due to the physical and spiritual benefits that I enjoy by being there but it has as much to do with John himself.
John is the kind of instructor that everyone should have the opportunity and fortune to know. He is extremely knowledgeable in both disciplines and is constantly helping me to correct my forms and become better at what i'm doing. I can absolutely see the difference in my body when i look in the mirror these days. John is very patient and teaches and leads with a deep sense of humor. This is a priceless quality in my opinion for anyone who is a teacher. I know that not only will i have a great workout but also some great laughs.
It is an honor and a joy to have John as my teacher and I recommend him to anyone.

Overall, we had a great experience with John Heniz. I visited John at his excellent facility with my two sons. I wanted to learn how kettlebells could help my sons in football and wrestling and for me in my sport of adventure racing. We were looking for technique and workout programs. We received excellent technique instruction. Overall, I was very pleased with John's teaching because we were able to understand the flaws in our current technique and improve. John moved at a pace that we could understand what we were doing. I would recommend John to anyone who would like to improve in their sport using kettlebells.

I am new to kettlebell training and recently had a personal training session with John. I wanted to make sure I was doing the swing and getup properly and John's instruction was outstanding. He tweaked my technique in both excersises, which will make a big difference in keeping me injury-free. His price was very reasonable and he packed as much instruction as possible into our 1-hour session. His facility was also top notch and I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for superior kettlebell instruction.

Prior to the seminar, I had no experience with Kettlebells. John was very thorough and detailed in his explanations and the instructor demonstrations. He was very technique oriented which I thought was very necessary to keep the students injury free ( most of the rest of the class was new to kettlebells as well). John is an excellent teacher and I would recommend him to anyone.

I have recently been training for endurance sports (triathlons and duathlons) and needed a workout that would help with strength as well as endurance. John informed me that kettlebell exercises could help. In our private session, John was able to clearly explain and demonstrate the basic techniques of the exercise. He was also incredibly patient. John has an excellent understanding of body mechanics and how to develop those through kettlebell exercises. He showed how this form of exercise would build functional strength as opposed to that gained with only single joint movements. Most importantly, John made the class fun.
