10/10 Top Notch Cycling Guide Plus More!!

I have stayed several times over the past few years for a cycling adventure staying at the Hotel Domestique with my wife. This year I went solo and stayed The Station by Compo Hotels right next to town of Traveler's Rest and right off the Swamp Rabbit Trail. This provided me the opportunity to save on food and lodging (without compromising on quality) and hire Justin as a guide which I had never done prior. I initially signed up for one day (1-3 hours) and after the most awesome riding experience I had ever in that area due to Justin's knowledge of the roads and times, I then engaged him everyday of that week. Justin was like an old riding buddy and inspiring coach as an added benefit. He also taught this 63 year old cyclist a few new tricks as well. Riding with Justin made this more like an expensive "Backroads Adventure" vacation. We even enjoyed at his recommendation some of Traveler's Rest best cuisine after rides.

Spent the week at Hotel Domestique cycling training camp. A fabulous hotel, venue and cycling landscape. What made the experience even better was the leadership and guidance from Justin C. Justin's knowledge of the area, communication skills and effort, and his continual focus on safety made this both a rewarding and joyful experience. Justin proactively worked with the group and would consistently position himself with the right cyclist at the right time. This could be the front group to keep us out of harm's way or the back group to ensure everyone is OK and doing fine. Each morning we would wake up with Justin's scouting report for the day on what to expect and end the day with the next days outlook. To the extent changes were necessary, Justin would immediately do so and let us know. The trip was excellent, and Justin made it that much better. Also, kudos to Meredith and Nate who were also awesome lending their support and friendship as well.

For second year in a row Justin was the lead guide during a ride camp based out of Hotel Domestique… and year two was even better than the first. Justin contacted all the riders in advance to access their individual goals, assigned perfect guides to work with each of the groups, sent downloadable ride routes well in advance ( given the level of support you didn’t need the routes, but was nice to have in advance), and was always a positive guy to ride or hang with pre/post ride…he and the team of folks he worked with were great! Looking forward to riding with him again!

I was looking for three days having nices rides with a companion and needed somehow a pilot guiding me around this new area for me. Justin fully understood what I was looking for in terms of tour length, climbing, descents and the scenic roads. There are plenty of options to ride around Hotel Domestique and Justin knows it all. You feel his dedication and supportive nature and special thanks for the funny talks we had during our rides. It was an awesome experience! I did not only find a pilot, Justin was my wingman. Justin Creech was the main cycling guide during a Spring Training Camp in March 2022. He was the perfect guide for a group of cyclists of mixed experience. His first priority was safety and he made sure everyone stayed safe and within their limits. Justin balanced keeping an eye on the slower cyclists while still leading the more experienced group. His second priority was having fun…which we all did, no matter how tough the climbs! He also made sure the experienced riders got the most out of each ride. Finally, Justin also had great advice on recovery, stretching and nutrition. If I were to return to the Greenville area to cycle on my own, I’d hire Justin to guide. I highly recommend him!

Justin and his colleagues organized and led a group of 8 of us from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Franciso down the coastline to Mt. Baldy in the Los Angeles area. Terrific tour, a trip of a lifetime. Everything was executed to perfection: full SAG support including expert bike mechanics and a smorgasbord of nutrition options, hotels, excellent routing that avoided bad roads and traffic yet delivered us to the awesome beauty of Big Sur, and a finale that had us riding up one of the great climbs of southern California. What was remarkable was that this was the first time Justin led this trip -- it went without a hitch. So if you are looking for a trip anywhere, he has the skill set and access to resources to pull it off at a very high level of satisfaction.

My husband and I had a wonderful time riding with Justin! I am a relatively new cyclist but an ambitious one, my husband does not cycle often but he is an endurance runner. After speaking to me on the phone before the trip, we decided to do part of the Hincapie Gran Fondo route. Justin is a talented coach and cycle guide - he is able to motivate me to push harder, and also able to attend to my husband who is a slower rider. He never felt left behind and both of us had a fantastic day! Justin even took amazing photos :) I will highly recommend hiring Justin as a guide when visiting Hotel Domestique, he adds a lot to the cycling experience in that area. Thank you Justin!!!

I went on two guided tours with Justin out of Hotel Domestique. It was the first time I had ridden with another person and he was amazing at calming my nerves and putting me at ease. He was able to figure out my current level of biking and create a challenging route that brought us to an amazing local place with sticky buns. He was also able to give me advice that would make my cycling better while pointing out all of the amazing views that surrounded us. The second day my wife came with us. She was an extraordinarily inexperienced rider. We rented an ebike for her. Justin taught her how to use the rented bike and rode around the parking lot until she was comfortable with the controls. That ride was so much fun watching her have a blast while dropping both of us on a categorize climb. He also took amazing pictures and videos of us while riding that we'd never be able to take ourselves.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 2 days we hired Justin to be our cycling guide when we visited Hotel Domestique. We would not have found the routes he selected and he navigated the 2 different levels of cycling for my husband and I. We spent the e tire day with him the second day, with 2 fabulous excursions that were off the main roads. He was also great company and he selected a great lunch spot we visited the next day as well. Also he was very flexible.

Justin led my husband and me from Hotel Domestique through the beautiful SC mountains. He had a keen eye to determine which challenges to expose during our ride, even though he had never met us. He created rides based on our intake surveys. Justin is super easy going, lovely personality, and gifted at being able to assess strength. It was a pleasure riding with Justin and we will definitely look him up and book again next time we visit SC. I am sad we live in Chicago because I would have loved to work with him on a more routine basis... 2x a week strength class would be amazing! He has a nutritional knowledge base that complements his strength training perfectly.

We had our 9 year old son work one on one with Justin for about a year and 1/2, learning parkour and building up his core strength - once a week just about every week. Justin's patience level is outstanding, and the skills and confidence he built with Parker was unmatched. Unfortunately Justin moved away from TX (boo!) but the foundation he built lives on! Parker is now 13 and doing incredible things with his parkour and trampoline performance team. We owe everything he is now to Justin. He taught Parker not only precision moves, but how to do them safely. He taught Parker how to "fall", because falls are going to happen to boys. He also helped him with his backflips, which he can now do from a standing position. Justin is reliable, honest and just a really good person. Cannot say enough good things about him!

My son, Tyler, wanted to compete in the Ninja Warrior Race and eventually he took private lessons from Coach J. Tyler loved training with him. Coach J is professional, safety conscious, skilled, knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He genuinely invests in his clients and truly cares about the kids he works with. I saw my son gain agility, strength, speed, and most importantly, confidence from his time training with Coach J. He’s the absolute BEST at what he does and we highly recommend him.

I came to Justin for gaining strength myself and parkour for my two children.Justin is a great listener, he worked with me to form a workout program that worked for me which was highly efficient. I have been working out with Justin for 6 months now, and what a difference he has made in my level of fitness. I am 50 years old and am in the best shape of my life, all because of the planning, training, motivation and sweat that Justin has put into my health. Each time that I show for our workout, Justin already has a plan laid out for what we will be doing. We work out with kettlebells, ropes, bulgarian bags, tires, and anything else he can come up with to keep me moving, raising my heartrate without ever getting bored. He will often work out with me at the same time, and it's motivating to see the kind of shape he is in. A few months ago he asked if I wanted to try something different, where for 6 weeks we would work out three days a week with an intense kettlebell program (I can only make it two days a week so he would then email me a customized home workout to do for the 3rd one each week). He would test my deadlift max level at the beginning of the program, and then again at the end of the program, so that we could see what progress had been made. On Day 1, I was able to do a deadlift max of 230 lbs. 6 weeks later, I watched my deadlift increase to 300lbs.!!! I had no idea that an improvement that huge could be made so quickly. I feel great and I look forward to my workouts twice a week with Justin, and I've never looked forward to working out before, ever! If you want to get a good, fun workout with a trainer who cares, Justin is your guy!

 
10/10 Forget gains, its all about function fitness

I've been training with Justin since he moved to Austin a couple months ago to take over my former trainer's position (who's a co-owner of the gym and is focusing on their new location) at The BAM Academy's Ballistic Movements program and I've been satisfied with the quality of training and personal care. First, Justin is a very approachable person. He'll greet you with a smile and a chuckle--just before he whips you with an amazing work out. He'll interact with you during the training and is available to help you with your form or whatever questions you may have. Second, the training is great. We do circuits on Mondays and kettle bell on Wednesday. Naturally, what you put in you get out. You only get as strong/fittier/faster equal to the effort you put in. Justin will push you, and hard, but he'll do it with a smile. He'll move you up in kettle bell weight when you need it. The circuits are mostly predictable when you've trained with him long enough, but he'll mix it up when necessary so 1) you don't bored 2) your muscles don't get too familiar. For example, after finishing the tabata, we might do planks for 3 minutes straight. Or flip a tire 25 times. Or do 100 up/down dogs. Overall, Justin's training will improve not only your VO2 max but also your functional fitness. Not only will you move faster but also nimbler. The training I get with Justin translates very well into parkour (or whatever movement you are inclined to). I move more efficiently, quickly, and longer.

Justin is a great instructor - patient yet motivating and doesn't give in to my incessant requests for a break - he pushes you to be your best and not give up!

I have had the pleasure to work out with Justin in a one on one session as well as in a group. You can tell right away that just loves fitness but he loves to get others fit even more. Training for Justin is a passion and you can't help but to be inspired to do your best when training with Justin. He will take the time to find out what your goals are and come up with a plan to help you achieve those goals. Justin helped my son during the summer before his freshman year in high school to achieve results in fitness that improved all aspects of his athletic ability. The High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) improves all aspects of your physical being in a very short amount of time. It was a blast for my son and I to work out together with Justin. My son has been playing football since he was five years old. After working out all summer with Justin my son had the best football season of his life he was one of only a few freshman to play on the varsity football team.

When it comes to kettle bell instruction Justin is the best. He is a stickler on form and doing the exercise right before moving on. He taught me how amazing of a workout you can get from one piece of equipment.

If you are looking for a fitness instructor look no further!

Mr. Creech took a chance on a group of overweight middle aged guys who had been stuck on the couch for quite a few years. He took his time and introduced us to the basics. We worked on weight lose, cardio and most importantly proper form. Once he felt comfortable moving forward, he showed us swings, cleans and turkish get-ups. In the 4 months that I have been working in this program I have gone from 36% body fat to 22% and have lost 23 pounds of fat. This is not some before and after super supplement bullshit. This is pure hard work and effort, coupled with professional training.

Having never tried kettle bells, I was very nervous about attending Justin's class. He not only welcomed me with open arms (as he did with everyone), but he patiently took the time to show me proper kettle bell form, explained all the different cross fit type exercises, and walked me through each one to ensure my safety. His knowledge level was far above other trainers that I have worked with in the past. His boundless energy was an uplifting motivator when either myself or others weren't "feeling it" on any given day. I strongly recommend Justin for any program he chooses to do, because of the numerous qualities he possesses, and he would be a valuable asset to any team he joins.

Justin is awesome! His passion for health and fitness is infectious. His workouts are dynamic and fun. I love them all, HIIT, spinning, TRX, acroyoga, and kettlebells. He is extremely knowledgeable and motivating. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and every time I attend one of his workouts he gives me great modifications for some of the more advanced moves that I can no longer do. Thanks Justin for being such an amazing instructor.

Before I met Justin I thought working out consisted of a treadmill, elliptical and free weights. I would spend about 1 to 2 hours at the gym. This was before Justin introduced me to High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). My first personal session with Justin was ROUGH! He set up probably 10 different stations for me. I had 30 seconds at each station (Justin timed me). I just want to add that I'm 4'11 and by no means a fitness freak. But with his help I was flipping a HUGE tire, swinging kettle bells, slamming a sledge hammer on the tire, rows with TRX bands, lunge squats with the lebert bars, mountain climbers.... The work out was only about 30 minutes and it was hard and I wanted to give up. He didn't let me. He continued to dish out TONS OF ENCOURAGING words while I was screaming not so nice things to him at each station. I've never had that intense of a workout before on the treadmill or elliptical. Now I work out for 30-40 minutes instead of 1-2 hours. I've also attended Justin's group classes and everyone works out at their own pace. If there is an exercise that a person can't do b/c of existing injuries he'll adjust the workout to accommodate that person. He's the type of trainer that is constantly researching to find new and improved ways of fitness. Thank you Justin for teaching me about fitness and the right way to work out. =)

Justin introduced me to fitness one day. His face lit up when telling me how being fit improves your total life. He was patient but firm. He is fun, had a great sense of humor. Mostly he will not let you give up on yourself. You could be so lucky to have someone like him train you. We are a military family, we have moved all over the world, literally. I can tell you that the gym on post does not come close to offering what he does. That is why I chose him. He can do group fitting and watch you and then later give you extra help to let you know what needs to be corrected or individual help. I have seen him motivate and train a group of 20 and a group of 2. Same energy, same consistency. He is just a great guy. Justin is the man.:)

Justin has a gift for encouraging individuals to strive toward their best. He's energetic, knowledgeable, & passionate about fitness. Whether leading individuals through High Intensity Interval Training or grueling kettlebell workouts, he knows his stuff & is exceptionally able to lead others through the various techniques that will help them improve their fitness levels. Able to work with both novice and accomplished athletes, he knows both when to push individuals to strive harder or when to ease off to ensure they avoid injury. It is an absolute pleasure to train with Justin & his workouts have personally enabled me to improve my level of performance in the marathon, so much so, that I improved my already Boston Marathon qualifying personal record marathon time by almost 13 minutes. I have also observed Justin work with individuals who are brand new to exercise routines & he has a wonderful ability to motivate them toward personal improvement and encourage them to continue striving toward achieving individual fitness goals.

Justin is an awesome instructor whether it be with KBs or HIIT or just all around body weight exercises. His knowledge and skill of all exercises is tremendous in helping new or even seasoned athletes learn something new about themselves. He pushes people to their utmost limit. He always has a positive mental attitude everytime he comes to a workout and really wants to help anyone who needs it. There's so much that could be said about Justin but there isn't enough space.
