career.I fell in love with the Kettlebells the first time RKC-Gus Peterson gave me a
"can't walk for 3 days" workout!This is perfect!This is my
style!
I began my professional career as a basketball and track
coach as well as a PE/weight training teacher.I would always 'find a way' to help my athletes and students improve. I
found great joy when they would accomplish tasks that they did not think
possible.
My philosophy is a perfect compliment to Kettlebells.Most people take one look at the Kettlebells and say "no way"! Then 30 minutes

It may sound a little scary but it is the perfect 3 in 1 workout! The flexibility of yoga, the strength of weight training and the conditioning of a good long run all wrapped up in one hour. Robyn is the ideal instructor. Robyn's knowledge, committment and passion toward my improvement make the workout worth every minute. I may not love the workout while I'm doing it but I keep coming back because I have never felt better in my life!

Robyn is a terrific trainer. From the first time I met Robyn, I was impressed with her professionalism. She has a lot of spirit and has been very motivational with me. The Kettlebells were new to me. I had been doing the usual cardio and weightlifting thing for years, so I was a bit skeptical about this new workout. But after only a few sessions, I could see the results in my arms and feel it in my abs. It's so fun to have a new set of tools to work out with!
Robyn is great: she's very positive, motivating, energetic. She really pushes me in a good way to try to learn new exercises to practice with the Kettlebells, and encourages me to use higher weights. She also helps me focus on form and doesn't let me slack. If you're tired of the same old boring weights, I'd highly recommend you take a few classes with Robyn and the Kettlebells.

I have been working out with Robyn for almost one year now. Robyn always shows a positive attitude, professionalism, and takes a personal interest in supporting her clients goals.
I have to admit, the first time she broke out the Kettle Bells and showed me the workout, I was NOT havin it..
However... A couple months later.. Her passion for the Bells, motivational speeches while working out, and a diet overhaul, I have lost the weight I have been battling with for a long time and feel stronger physically and mentally.
For those of you that are "over" the constant cardio and weight lifting workouts and are looking to be challenged.. I recommend the Kettle Bells and Robyn Smith. What a fantastic combination!

I love the variety Kettle Bells have added to my workouts. They work muscles that have historically been difficult for me to isolate. after about 1-2 months using kettle bells my chiropractor asked, "what have you been doing?". He noticed substantial improvements in my upper back and shoulder muscles.

Incredible Compliment to Running!

I have been training with Robyn for almost 10 months now, during which time I trained for and successfully completed the Denver Marathon. Having trained twice before in various marathon programs, I was amazed to learn what a perfect compliment KBs were to a running regime and noticed a dramatic difference in my strength and competency this time around. The KB training works wonders on your core and functional strength adding power and endurance to running that I never thought possible.
Robyn is an exceptional trainer. She is extremely bright, positive and adept at tailoring a workout to one's fitness goals. She also pushes, in a good way; helping to push aside inhibitions and achieve beyond what one thought possible. When she first showed me the KBs, my honest thought was, "She has to be crazy if she thinks I am able to swing that bowling ball with a handle!"
Instead, I found that Robyn's ability to clearly teach proper technique and strict attention to form allowed me to develop confidence in the training and I am now hooked! I highly recommend Robyn as a KB instructor and continue to enjoy working with her on my KB program.

Almost 75yrs. old and getting stronger

I have learned so much from Robyn. I have some foot neuropathy and my balance has improved. I am finally able to do lunges without holding on. I love the kettlebells. Other ladies over 65 yrs old at the gym are very impressed that I swing the kettlebells. I feel good after doing my routine, because I know I have worked all my muscles. Robyn is a good instructor and is very patient. I need lots of instructions and detail. Robyn is the best and a pleasure to work with.

I have been working out with Robyn for about 7 months now. I think the greatest indicator of how to choose a trainer is to look at her clients. After working out with a different trainer who moved, I watched over the course of 6 months the clients Robyn was training and I saw results in all of them. That is why I knew Robyn was the best choice. I needed something to change my body and switch up the same workout I had been doing. The biggest things I notice are the increased level of strength I have, especially in my abs, which I didn’t think could exist after having a baby! My hips started to slim a little and I was actually starting to get a butt! I know if I just get a little more disciplined on my end the workouts that Robyn puts me through could take me to the next level. She truly gets how a woman should be built and doesn't try to fit you into one type of body. I would recommend her to anyone!

I began working with Robyn 2 years ago when I wanted to complete my 1st sprint tri-athlon. After now completing 2 sprint tri-athlons, I have continued working with Robyn because of her approach to fitness. Robyn challenges me in a way through physical fitness, diet and mind set that is practical. Her approach is personable and she truely listens to my fitness goals. She has introduced, trained and continues to encourage me to use a variety of workouts. When she introduced the kettlebells they were a great challenge for me, I actually did not like them because they were so very different from anything I've used before. Robyn continues to push me and because of her consistency and personable style....I have stuck with kettlebells and some traditional weights and like it! Robyn and I are teammates and are continually striving to be the best ruggers we can be. I began training with Robyn about a year and a half ago and have loved every minute. She is a great teacher, mentor, motivator, and friend forever. She pushes every client to reach their potential and further to reach their goals. Kettle bell training has been the most effective method of training I have ever tried (being a former college basketball player). The results are worth the investment. I started kettle bells with Robyn over the summer. This winter I have been taking her class once a week. I have never looked so forward to a Wednesday in my life. She works the class very hard, but it is such a sneaky total body workout that I have no idea how hard I am working. She is always so positive and encouraging. I play rugby with Robyn and she knows all of my physical limitations and works with them to improve my strength and speed on the rugby field. Hopefully kettle bell work will help me squeeze a few more years of rugby out of this 32 year old body!!!

Outstanding flexibility in hips

I started training with Robyn about 5 months ago. My flexibility and ROM has greatly improved. Specifically, I had really tight hips with limited ROM. My hips feel great and are much looser. I am able to ski much better as well.
I am an acupuncturist that specializes in Sports Medicine. I send many of my patients to Robyn to help them during their rehab to improve flexibility and strength conditioning. I prefer they see Robyn then go to the gym and use regular weights. I see fantastic results and my patients are very pleased with the results they get. She personalizes each work out and they love it.

I am a certified personal trainer and now aspiring RKC. Robyn introduced me to kettlebells about 7 months ago and I have been in love since. My core strength and cardiovascular and muscle endurance have improved greatly since I've started using kettlebells.
Robyn is so gung-ho and passionate about kettlebells and it shows in her training. She has helped me to hone my KB skills through her instruction and verbal cues. Greatly improved shoulder strength

I started training with Robin about 7 months ago. I have an impinged rotator cuff and had a lot of range of motion and strength issues. I initially had difficulty doing Turkish Getups with a 5 pound dumbbell now I can do them with an 18 pound Kettlebell! Plus I have no pain and improved range of motion in my shoulder. I also have greatly improved general strength and fitness. Robin adds a whole different dimension to working out that keeps you interested and motivated.

I have done KB's with Robyn for about a year now and love it! The sessions are always different and I can see myself improving all the time. The KB weights have been creeping up which is encouraging. Robyn is not only a strong fit woman but a great kettlebell instructor. Her classes are a lot of fun with participants encouraging each other, pushing each other and providing some good old friendly competition.
Robyn pays attention to each participant and constantly helps them to perfect their techniques so they feel safe, strong and make progress.
As a kettlebell gym owner and stickler for technique I wouldn't let any old kettlebell instructor teach at my studio, if you knew me that says a lot about Robyn. I trained with her class tonight and had a blast, you will too!

Alternative Kettle Bells

I have been training with Robyn for a little over a year. I have always been athletic, but now have some hip challenges-bone on bone. Not being able to go full on has been frustrating, to say the least. When Robyn began using the kettle bells, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to handle the movement with the weight of the kettle bells. However, her expertise as a trainer has helped me to continue to have challenging and strenthening workouts. She has developed an alternative kettle bell program that still gives me the intensity without compromising my hips. Most of all, she knows how to keep me motivated.

I started out somewhat skeptical of the entire Kettlebell regime, but after doing five 1-hour sessions with Robyn, I am converted. She is very patient with new students/clients and was able to convey the proper technique in an easily understandable manner. Once I got the hang of it, I've noticed a drastic change in my core, leg, and shoulder strength. Being a person that's already in the gym 5-6 days a week, I never anticipated an improvement so soon. For anyone with doubts, I recommend giving Robyn 2-3 sessions and you'll be hooked for good.

Variety in your workout with Kettle Bells

I have personally trained with Robyn for over a year and a half and have trained on Kettle Bells 1-2 times a week during tht time. It creates a great variety in my everyday workout routine, adding a different challenge and working my core more than ever! It's really amazing how different action with the kettle bell can give a full body workout. I went from doing a "turkish getup" with only a 12KG bell to a 55 kg bell! It's really helped my balance and conditioning for my number one sport, alpine skiing.

One year ago when I first started training with Robyn I could hardly run up and down a set of stairs without getting winded. Working with Robyn and her Kettlebell techniques has changed my appearance both inside and out. Within the first six months training with the Kettlebells I went down two pant sizes. Just in the last three months alone I have lost an inch from my stomach, waist and legs! I am now able to run up those stairs many more times than just two without getting winded. Training with Robyn and using the Kettlebells has really changed who I am today, and I love the new found athletic side of me!

Thanks to an ice climbing accident almost 30 years ago, I've been using a wheelchair as substitute legs ever since. I'm still very active, and as a physician I know only too well the challenges I face in preserving upper body function. I have used several trainers over the years and thought they were great. Then came Robyn.
Using Kettlebells as a modality, Robyn has completely transformed the way I use my body. She has used her phenomenal insight and creativity to both assess and address my need for increased core strength. Her knowledge and professionalism have kept me engaged and excited by the possibilities. The results have been bountiful. Day-to-day tasks, such as getting my chair into and out of the car, are much easier. And my handcycling, skiing and kayaking have all improved. I began taking Kettlebell classes 3 months ago.Robyn has a magical way of getting you acquainted with the kettlebell and actually liking it. The kettle bell workout has provided a nice change of pace from the traditional workout that really targets your core. You get the opportunity to work on so many different areas at once the results with what seems like little effort are amazing.

Robyn is great. I have been training with her for about 6 months and she has introduced me to a new way of training with a very high level of intensity. She listens to me and tailors my workouts to produce the results I am looking for. I also love the mixed strength/cardio workouts she gives me with the bells. Robyn has me mixing the bells with a intense cardio workout called tabata that pushes me harder than I ever could go on the machines.
