I have been married for 13 years to Bob who is also RKC certified and am the proud Mother of three boys ages ten, seven, two and one little girl 3 months. I took my first kettlebell class from Doug Nepodal, Senior RKC, four months after the birth of my third baby with 45lbs to lose and the need for a different routine. Kettlebells and Doug made this goal a reality! I completed the Russian Kettlebell Challenge in St.Paul the beginning of September 2007 and am proud to add this certification to my 15 year portfolio of experience in the Fitness Industry! Having been introduced to kettlebells by Doug before his move to CA, the familiarity continues through the coaching by Amy. This training is an unique approach to fitness and the antithesis of what my generation was taught excercise should be....for women. The instruction is: educational in proper form, setting personal goals, encouragement to progress, and intertwined with information about the latest fitness findings and research. It has taken all of the above to make me an enthusiastic and dedicated student to sweating and liking it. Amy is exceptional in her attention to detail, her enthusiasm for her work and students makes for a synergistic environment for fun and fitness. I have over 30 years in Martial Arts, I have done every workout known and then some. When I found Amy and her Kettlebell classes. I knew I found what I was looking for. Amy makes me push myself to the limit and in return, my body has made some great inprovements. No longer do I have joint pain from doing outdated bodybuliding routine's. I m now doing functional movements.

To my dismay, the first thing Amy did was provide me with a heavier kb to work out with. She told me that if I was swinging the kb that high that I needed a heavier one. I drove a long way to take a personal training session with Amy and it was worth every mile. She corrected my form, especially a very sloppy Turkish get-up and made me work on my squats by facing a wall. My cleans were all wrong and she taught me the correct way of doing those, as well. I plan to make the trip to Medina whenever I have the time on Saturday mornings. Amy is an awesome and inspiring instructor.

My husband (who is in great shape and works out all the time) took Amy's class and couldn't walk for a week! He insisted I take the class. I was soooo scared! If he thought it was tough... I went on a Saturday and loved it. She made me feel right at home and focused her attention on my form. I too could not walk for a week, but what a great feeling! I can now say that I am getting in great shape too! I am training for the Breast Cancer 3 Day, I am more confident than ever! 60 Miles... No problem. Thanks to my husband for pushing me to go and thanks to Amy for being so awesome! I now wake up at 5:30am before my alarm goes off because I am so excited to get there and Saturday's were for sleeping in... Not anymore!!

After having my son, I had no desire to work out on a regular basis whatsoever. I was recommended kettlebells and thought I'd give it a try. I am totally hooked. I never thought I would find a work out i actually look forward to. I've been to 9 classes now, Ive already noticed awesome results which keeps me coming back for more. Amy has a way about her that makes you want to do better. She really pays attention to each individual, and its obvious that she genuinely cares. I started kettlebell in January and I love it! I saw results after my 4th class. It's the best workout I've ever done. I love how you get cardio and strength in one workout. I ride and show horses and can tell a huge improvement in my core strength. Amy always makes every class different and challenging. She rocks!!!

I have been weight training for many years and basically doing the same thing. For the last year I was in a rut and just couldn't get motivated to work out like I used to. Then one of Amy's students invited me to her class. Since that day I have been addicted to the kettlebell workout. Amy and her husband Bob are great teachers and they make the workouts challenging and fun. They are both very patient and very motivating. I am fairly new to kettlebell and have become a strong advocate of Amy, her gym and her classes. I tell anyone who will listen to try it once and they too will become addicted to this wonderful strength training exercise.
She really takes the time to show you the proper moves and correct your form when necessary. She is extremly patient, knowledgeable and motivational. She pays attention to everyone in class and is always willing to answer our questions. She explains what we are working on with each exercise and how to concentrate and really push ourselves to the limits.
She made me feel welcome the first day I arrived and I can truly say I hate it when I miss one of her classes.

I have known Amy for a few years now and have taken several of her classes. I had been taking her spin classes in conjunction with running and swimming on a regular basis. When I told her I needed something "different" - preferably something that would give me killer arms like hers - she immediately recommended kettlebell. After 6 months of talking about it, I finally went to one of her kettlebell classes...and she was right! I immediately fell in love with this new form of exercise. I had first heard about kettlebell from my sister-in-law in Phoenix, so when I found out there was a kettlebell class in Medina I jumped on it. Not knowing what I was getting into intimidated me a little but I figured what the heck. After three months of kettlebelling I love it. Amy is amazing, she is welcoming,supportive and encouraging. Most of all she is knowledgable and concerned about all of our safety. She makes me want to do better each time I'm in her class. She has kept me motivated and challanged. I tried Amy's class at the encouragement of my husband. I was a frustrated mother of two, working part-time, volunteering part-time, wondering how I got so out of shape. I can not say enough great things about Amy and kettlebell. It got me motivated and kept me going back for more. Amy is a great instructor and such a positive person. Also the other great thing about Amy is if you miss a few classes because life gets in the way she doesn't put you down she lifts you up and says jump back in. She's awesome and so is the class.

I've been working with KB's for about 6 weeks now and was looking for an instructor to help critique my form & practice. DragonDoor led me to Amy. I was really dreading the 45 minute drive (and gas) to get to her class! That was 3 classes ago. Amy is amazing...knowledgable, fun, energetic, and inspiring are just a few of the qualities that make her such a great instructor. She pays great attention to detail and proper form and always has a good word for everyone. Amy's classes are challenging, but fun. She has a great knack for changing them up so you work muscles in different ways. She easily adapts all the excercises to fit the needs of all fitness levels in her class. What I especially like is how she explains every move and makes them "make sense." Thanks for making fitness fun again Amy! Love your classes!

I have known Amy for several years and taken many different classes from her. I must say that she found her calling when she became certified in kettlebell! I first heard about it about a year ago and everyone I talked to said it was intense, fun and it works! I started taking classes and then injured my neck (not from kettlebell!) and had to take a break for a while. I was told I would have to have surgery and when I e mailed Amy and told her about it she immediately sent me 5 different success stories about how good kettlebell is for your back! She invited me to train with her to start to strengthen my back and give me the one on one attention I needed. In a matter of a few weeks I stopped going to physical thereapy, was told I do not have to have surgery, my back was stronger and I felt healthier than I'd ever been. Now I am using weights I never thought I would look at again! Amy is such a compassionate instructor that truly cares about every one of her students. Everyone needs to try this class..... it will make you so much stronger mentally and physically!!!

After my 2 boys were born, I made every excuse not to exercise and get into shape. Primarily, I was too tired and did not have any time. Now that I have made the time to take Amy's Kettlebell classes, I have so much more energy. I look forward to Kettlebell class (no matter how sore I may be from the previous class). Amy always seems to make the class challenging, but also fun. I truly enjoy the workout and have not been this motivated to be strong and healthy since I was in college (almost 15 years ago!). Been a gym rat and fitness nut my entire life and this little lady from Medina has made it fun again. I have been stuck doing the same routine since my college days. I have been searching for 18 years for a workout that will get my fitness juices flowing again. Kettlebell and Amy Dudley have re-charged the batteries in the juicer and I am like a little kid on Christmas morning. I plan my weekly events around my Kettlebell classes. Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday can't get here fast enough. This workout offers a great mixture of Cardio and Free Weights and I love the exhausted feeling at the end of class. I started working with Amy back in January and have noticed a significant increase in my strength on the days I go to my regular gym. This workout incorporates all my muscles, not just my chest, triceps and biceps. Amy has a tremendous energy about her and really makes the class fun. She is very patient and is quick to help with technique and form. I would highly recommend Amy Dudley to anyone, she puts Billy Blanks and his TAE-BO to shame, LOL... Keep up the good work Amy and watch out, this Kettlebell craze is getting ready to explode. To bad they knocked down the Coliseum in Richfield, you could fill it with Kettlebellers.....

I was at Amy's very first class back in September 2007, and I was hooked. Being a "ball chaser" by nature (volleyball, tennis, golf, etc.) and an athlete my whole life, I do not usually enjoy exercise classes - they all tend to include too much dance and fluff. KB is so different. It is aerobic. It is strength. It does not include a lot of fluff or choreography. I am happy to say I have become re-acquainted with muscles that have been dormant for the last 20 years, o-w-w-w!! You work at your own pace, but Amy will not let you wimp out. She is always encouraging and motivating. With the number of new participants that we have coming to the program, she integrates the newcomers effortlessly while continuing to challenge those who know the exercises. Great job, Amy!

I have been out of the training world for a few years and am slowly getting back. Amy is so motivaitng and encouraging it makes me want to get to her classes as much as I can.

I was leary to try Kettlebell, but a friend assured me that Amy would explain in detail and make sure that my form was correct so that I wouldn't hurt myself. Two months later, I am stronger than ever and have never had an injury (but I've been plenty sore at times!) Amy is an excellent instructor. She is fun and makes class fun. I have worked out a lot in the past and have had lots of instructors, but I can honestly say, Amy is one of the best. The first night I was impressed that she could remember everyone's name. She works with everyone whether it is your first or twentieth time making sure you have the correct form, etc. Kettlebells is different, it is never the same class twice. I always feel like I am challenging myself. I like that.

Kettlebell class has done amazing things for me! I've run several marathons and used to think I was in fairly good shape. After joining Kettlebell about 5 months ago, I realized what a huge rut I was actually in. I've never had such a great workout. OK.. I was reluctant at first.I feared that I could NOT keep up with the others and I worried that I would be intimidated by "seasoned" work out people. Not SO! Amy knows how to encourage while nudging at the same time.. I feel this tremendous sense of accomplishment when I finish the class. I am amazed how every class is different..It is SO much fun. I NEVER thought that working out.. getting in shape.. loosing weight.. could be so much fun!! I take the boomer class. I have done almost every type of workout out there, but nothing compares to Kettlebell. What an awesome workout! I feel the main reason it is so great is that we have Amy to lead us. She is really knowledgable and continually varies the workout. I really look forward to spending that hour each week with Amy. She's so much fun! More than that, she is always aware of what each and everyone of us is doing during class. Whether it's telling us we need to go up a weight, keeping an eye on our form, or harping on me to stand up straight so I don't tweek my back, she is focused on us! I can't believe I'm paying someone to put me through so much pain each week, but you can bet, I'm not missing a class anytime soon! Thanks Amy.

I found this class through word of mouth...I live right above the studio and never knew about it! I just thought it was where people went for one on one personal training. I had no idea what this class was like. I was hooked after 3 classes and already moving up in weight. I started seeing definition right away. It's a completely different total body workout. I will definitely be buying a kettlebell to take to Iraq with me in a few months! ...Lord knows there is plenty of sand to fill those travel ones with... =) Amy is an amazing teacher and I love every minute of every class!

I have done strength training in the past but nothing quite like this. I first heard about Kettlebell through some neighbors and then eventually from some friends. The buzz was getting out about Amy's Kettlebell class and every time someone would talk about her class they would give it such high remarks and rave reviews. This is a true testament of how good an instructor Amy is and one of the reasons I decided to try it. I have been taking Amy's class for a little better than a month now and I have seen astonishing results. I feel so much stronger and see unbelievable muscle definition in such a short period of time. I have enjoyed the class so much that I encouraged my husband to try it and he is now addicted to it as well. Amy is very encouraging and motivating and is never afraid to push you to your individual limits. She is very passionate about what she does and this is reflected with each class she instructs. She pays attention to each and every one of us to be sure everyone is using proper form which is so important when working out with any sort of weights. There are some exercises that feel very awkward at first but with Amy's assistance those challenging moves become effortless. Her famous saying in class is "It's All Good" and that is so true because IT'S ALL GOOD when it comes to Kettlebell and having Amy as an instructor!!

Amy Dudley is one of the best instructors out there period!! I have had the pleasure of having Amy as an instructor for Spinning, Yoga and now Kettlebell! Amy knows exactly what you need when you need it! Knows when to push you and when you are overdoing it. Amy has a built in radar in knowing when someone needs to tweak their technique or move up to a heavier weight. It is so impressive how she can take a large class of all abilities from first timers through to veterans Kettlebellers and make sure that the newbies aren't overwhelmed while making sure that the veterans are challenged.
KB is such an awesome and challenging workout! I can't think of any other workout medium that provides such an excellent balance of both aerobic and strength training! I love the results I have seen during my 6 short weeks of regular KB classes! It is hard work yet tons of fun!! It is the first workout that I absolutely look forward to each time!! I know I am not alone as I have seen how quickly my friends (some of whom I almost had to bribe to take class with me) have grown to love it as well!! Rock On Amy!! We love you!!!

Amy is absolutely awesome! She pushes us to work our hardest while emphasizing proper techniques and fun. I was a little hesitant when Haley told me I would be swinging a "cannon ball with handles" every Thursday, but I can't imagine doing anything else Thursday afternoons. Amy knows our potential and makes us go for it. She lets us know when to go up in weight by putting our next KB in front of us with an encouraging smile on her face. I don't know if I'd love KB as much is Amy wasn't our instructor. Love her!

I have taken about five Saturday classes with Amy. I have enjoyed and worked very hard in every one. Amy brings a very good variety of exercises to each workout, there is no boredom. Her classes are challenging and fit every level of fitness. What I enjoy most is her ability to give personal and positive individual instruction. She cares about technique and makes sure that "newbies" like me aren't putting their body in bad positions. If you are looking for a challenge and want to try something new I highly recommend taking Amy's classes!

I've made a goal of being rock solid every year since I'd turned 30 and I'll be 35 this year, which is the cut off. I joined a gym(did the classes), I trained for a 1/2 marathon, and last but not least, I hired a trainer who worked me twice a week. AND NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING has change my body like KB. I am a believer !!! And I don't know if this would be possible without Amy. Amy keeps you motivated, excited, and enthused throughout the entire workout. Amy makes me believe I can do it, even though I may be struggling at that time. My husband also enjoys the Saturday morning class. I decided to try a KB class after hearing a few people tell me that it is an unbeleviable workout.. When I went to my first class, I felt a bit intimidated because I thought that it would be too intense for me. Amy was the instructor for the class and she made me feel welcome and worked with me to help me understand proper form etc. Well, I am hooked now! Amy is a great instructor. She takes the time to help you, she gives encouragement and helps you increase your intensity of the workout. She has so much energy and she transfers that to you to help you finish your workout...she knows just how to run the class... I can't say enough great things about her!! Love it,love it, love it!! I have known Amy through a different venue for a few years now. Getting to know her in her passion for Kettlebell has really opened my eyes to a truly amazing person. I called her to do personal training and was very embarassed to be there in the shape that I am in. I joke alot to cover my own insecurities, but AMY is always there to support me and doesn't allow me to be so negative! She is the best person I have ever trained with and I love that she knows I can do things I didn't think that I could. SHe is challenging ( which is sometimes irritating, ha ha) but every class is a surprise too. I love the way she works your muscles and I know it's really changing me. My friend and I heard of kettlebells through my sister, and the rest

Amy is responsible for my husband getting back into a workout routine after tearing a tendon in his ankle. Amy is an awesome instructor, and kettlebell is one heck of a workout. I have done many types of exercises over the years but none has left me feeling so exhilarated, exhausted, or enthusiastic as kettlebell with Amy. The unique difference between Amy and any other instructor I have had is that she is there for me, for the class. She doesn't do her own workout while she is instructing; instead she is teaching, demonstrating, motivating, walking around the room and checking our safety throughout the entire workout. Amy is very knowledgable about kettlebell, constantly explaining the move, checking our safety and giving us an alternative if we just can't handle it. Thanks Amy!

I started classes about 2 weeks ago. I am addicted, it did not take long. I love it. I have noticed a change in the 6 times I have been in class. I have to use a heavier bell now!! Although I've been to only one of Amy's classes I fully intend to be back for many more. My co-workers came to work with the buzz of this new class they were taking and that I should try it. I agreed to go and thus my kettlebell journey began. Amy was extremely helpful and attentive to every student even with a class of roughly 20 people. With every exercise she was there to coach me through and assure me when I was doing it properly and to direct me when I was doing something incorrect, always showing true concern for our safety. It is very apparent with only one meeting Amy is very passionate about her career and helping her students become healthy and fit members in society. I was looking for something to keep me excited about working out. My friend,Nancy, basically CHALLENGED me to take Amy's kettlebell classes with her and it's one of the best decisions I've made. Amy makes you work hard without really realizing it. She breaks the routines up so they are fun but still challenging. Her strict attention to form keeps us from hurting ourselves and maximizes the results from each exercise. Amy makes each move easy to learn and makes time for each person of our class. We are always working our muscles in new ways. Thanks Amy! I'm looking forward to many more classes and the good pain I get after each one.

I have known Amy for many years. The one thing that always impresses me is her desire to make sure you are safe and using proper form. I had been thinking about trying Kettlebell, and I thought and I thought, and I thought...... Then I heard Amy would be instructing Kettlebell, I knew now was the time for me to try it. And I love it. I currently spin and train with a personal trainer, and now I have added Kettlebell to my workout. I love the fact that Amy is so strict with form. I know when I am at class I am safe, because she will not allow me to do something incorrect. Amy can have a class of 4 or a class of 24 and somehow she always knows what everyone is doing. If you are not correct, she will correct you. You rock Amy and "it's all good!!!" Thanks for being so dedicated.

I started taking Kettlebell about 2 months ago. I heard about it through some friends and immediately went online to check it out. It was VERY intimidating at first and I was scared I would hurt myself. I was doing an hour of aerobics 4 times a week and after a year, I was not challenged or seeing any change in my body. So, then I met Amy. I had contacted her and she encouraged me that ANYONE can do it no matter what shape, size, or strength. So after my first class I was HOOKED! Amy has such passion when she talks about kettlebell. As an instructor she is amazing! She does a great job when it's a class of 6 or 24! Amy watches your form, encourages you to "go up in weight and do less reps to become stronger". Every class is different; you never know what to expect. I truly enjoy going to workout with Amy. . .I don't have that dreaded "time to workout" feeling. I feel stronger and can see I am toning up! The buzz is starting in Medina about Amy and her IRON!

I have had the pleasure of knowing Amy for a few years now. We first met through running, eventually doing our first marathon together in 2005. Amy has since become a dear friend and someone I value very much. After we both had our third baby in Aug. of 2006, I started taking Kettlebell from Doug in Medina. I immediately went home after the first class and called Amy and told her she had to try it! Well- the rest is history. That was almost one year ago and here she is now a RKC instructor and taking charge with her own classes. Amy is so strong and a great example to follow in training and everyday life. I have over one year of addiction to kettlebell workouts. I have learned from the best instructor in Ohio and enjoy two instructuonal workouts a week. I aways enjoy a change up to the routine. After one class with Amy I can tell you she is a great instructor. She knows what a leader needs to do, and does it. She took charge of the class and never looked back. She pushed all of us to the limit. It takes a true leader to push you futher than you can push yourself. Amy can do it. Her form is great and she tweeked my technique where needed. It is great to have such a quality person in Ohio. I am confident she can train the beginner as well as the experienced girevik. She can help take you to the next level and beyond.

At one time, I was, by most measures in shape; following a decade of Martial Arts training under Dr. Tetsuya Higuchi in Eastlake, Ohio. That ended more than a dozen years ago, and I frankly found myself a tired, middle-aged guy with a comfortable spot on the couch and maybe a “12-ounce curl” handy.
After determining that KB’s (and diet) were the way to make a change, I needed a good observer to review techniques from Pavel’s videos and books (as I implemented them). Nothing is better than a trained eye. Videos are great, but you can’t see yourself in motion, or correct the details. Amy can and she does it very well!
Amy “meets you where you are.” You explain your goals and she can take it from there. She delivers outstanding suggestions or corrections while moving you just outside your comfort zone (where you can and should work a bit harder). Yet, Amy insists upon safety, and insures that form is clean and consistent with formal RKC. Her instruction is “on-point” and direct. You can’t miss because she will not let you fail.
I have found Amy to be a skilled, honest, and dedicated professional. If you want to apply the Russian Kettlebell as a foundation for comprehensive physical training, I believe she is one of the very finest instructors to be found anywhere.
I recommend you make the drive and engage her skill, but please, just don’t take my time-slot!!!

I was working with a personal trainer for 6 weeks and wasn't seeing results when I stumbled upon BBOM in Medina and Amy. Amy is motivating and inspiring. I had never heard of kettlebell until I had my hair cut at VCS in Medina, and Stacey told me how she was taking a class and how awesome it was. Well, I tried it out and I love it. Amy Dudley is fantastic, knows her stuff and works us hard. She is a great instructor who watches all of us and helps keep us doing the routines the RIGHT way. That is so important and I really appreciate it. I walk 4 miles every morning 6 days a week and it just wasn't enough and this is giving me a total body workout. I'm one of the older students, but Amy makes sure that she let's us all know that we work at our own pace. After some extreme soreness after the first class my muscles now are more flexible and I find myself being able to do things in daily life that I hadn't been doing before. I can tell a difference! It's a tough class, but Amy makes it fun and entertaining. I really enjoy going!

Amy pushes without being pushy and she gives constant positive reinforcement. She makes you focus on what is important about the class, not what you look like doing the exercise but how to do it correctly. I would recommend her highly to anyone that is intimidated by exercise, especially something so "new". She puts you right at ease, week after week. Aside from that, kettlebells themselves really are for anyone, any level. I get a personal sense of satisfaction after every class - I didn't know I had "abs" plural!

In our first hour, I learned how to do turkish get ups and front squats, both of which I plan to include in future workouts. My son learned which exercises to concentrate on in preparation for his upcoming lacrosse season. I have been taking Kettle Bell classes early Saturday mornings with Amy Dudley since September. It is the toughest, most challenging thing I have ever done in my life! It has also given me the best results both inside and out. I not only have lost fat and inches, I am off cholesterol medication, off diabetic medication, off anti depressants, quit smoking and feel like I am in the best shape of my life (I am 46 years old) I had a spinal fusion surgery 10 years ago and the surgeon said I would never be able to lift a weight again WRONG. I have had some abdominal surgery and the surgeon said I would never be able to do sit ups again WRONG. My back hurt a bit when I first started, but I followed Amy’s STRICT instruction on using proper form when working with kettle bells, and my back and abs are now stronger than ever! I can do pushups, situps, swings, you name it and I am getting stronger after every session. Amy also makes this fun. I talked my husband into attending with me, and Saturday morning Kettle Bell has become our ‘date’ night. Is this workout hard? Oh yes. But the results are amazing. My hats off to Amy, Bob, Darlene and Molly of Better Bodies of Medina for bringing RKC to our little town and helping many of us improve our health and the quality of our lives!
PS. Amy is 7 months pregnant and swings those bells around with the rest of us!

My friends Patrick & Jimmy dared me to take this class teasing me with things like - if I throw up, I'll get a free t-shirt and tried to scared the pants off of me. Because I am determined, I decided to go but feeling a little intimidated wasn't sure I really wanted to do this. Amy was absolutely wonderful in making me feel right at home and a part of the class from day 1. My fears immediately disappeared and she took the time to really show me how to work the kettlebells the proper way along with the proper formage. And needless to say, I did not throw up! However, that entire week after (and I am talking the full 7 days), my legs were sore from the squats. I work out on a daily basis at my local gym but apparently not those muscles. Here I am - 4 weeks later, loving the program, still sore but not as bad and wanting to take this challenge further. Right now only taking one class a week but starting in January will vamp it up to 3x a week and most likely get Amy involved (after she has her baby) more so in a one x one training! Love Amy & the class & all the people! It's great, She's great & they're great! Thx so much!

When you attend a Kettle Bell class taught at Better Bodies of Medina, you never know what to expect! It is a supreme method of training which combines strength, cardio, flexibility, stretching, core, endurance and mental toughness! Amy Dudley is a professional who watches every person in class, and is constantly calling you out by name and telling you what to improve, or giving you encouragement.
