I’m not going to spend much time here giving you reasons why you should consider Kettlebells to be the most effective strength and conditioning tool on the planet. Instead, let me explain why you should partner with me.

For the past ten years, I’ve spent countless hours in pursuit of my fitness goals. While I considered myself fairly successful in doing so, I also became extremely bored and unchallenged with my former workout program. Sound familiar? Lack of motivation and determination left me going through the motions and wasting much of my free time on pointless workouts producing very few measurable results. That’s the point at which many people lose site of their goals and begin the downward spiral to a level of fitness they have accepted as normal, potentially setting themselves up for a life of unwanted health problems. I believe your attitude and self confidence is directly affected by the way you feel about yourself.

My mission is to educate you on the importance of physical fitness and the role it plays in our lives. It truly is a lifestyle change. This will not be easy, but hard work is what separates those who achieve results and those who fall short of their goals. I’ve made a commitment that the first time you step foot in my studio you will be challenged in an environment that breeds success. Accepting yourself as average will no longer be possible. Do you have what it takes to Lead by Example?

The true measure of leadership is influence. Each one of us has the ability to influence thousands of people over the course of our lives. Maybe you’re a high school athlete. Do you know how many young children in your community look up to you? What if you’re the parent of small children? Everything you say and do will be duplicated and passed on to them. Some of you are coaches and teachers. The influence you have on your athletes and students can shape their lives for years to come. So the question is what kind of example are you setting? Are you in the best physical shape you can possibly be in given your current circumstances? If not, together we can work towards getting you there. I feel strongly about our personal obligation to become living examples of physically fit individuals in our communities across the nation. I take the responsibility of teaching, coaching and encouraging others very seriously. Maybe you’ve never considered a personal trainer to be a leader but to be effective in teaching and training ones ability to lead is crucial.

Exercise with a new twist! Rated 10 out of 10
I have never been one to do any type of exercise class, as I work out on my own--running, lifting weights. I decided to try Kettlebell for something new and different. Mark takes the time to instruct us on proper techniques and he monitors us to make sure we are doing them correctly. He also mixes up the workouts so we are able to work different muscle groups and don't get bored. I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in Kettlebell classes! Even though I have only been at it for a month, I can see some difference in my muscle definition.

Mark is an outstanding instructor who really cares about us as individuals. I had let my workout routine slide to a hault and had lost motivation. A friend got me to walk through the KB door and Mark has been helping me ever since. Mark knows that I struggle and he encourages me during class as well as through emails. His workouts are challenging yet fun and he continues to help me work on my technique. Not only do I get a great workout, I am motivated by his passion for fitness. He really does lead by example. I had heard lots of people talking about Kettlebells and I just wasn't interested because I do not like to lift weights. This summer I was looking for something extra to tone up and Mark kept saying it isn't like lifting weights so I finally gave it a try. I absolutely love it! I love that I can go 3 times a week and still get my runs in. I have had chronic back problems and my back is great. Both of my kids(12 and 15) are doing different classes with Mark and both are loving it. Mark is a great motivational instructor. He cares about all of us getting a good workout.Thanks, Mark!

I took my personal training staff from The University of Iowa to Vinton, Iowa in order to get a few basics of KB training and learn KB technique from Mark. Not only does his passion for fitness and KB training shine, he was an excellent instructor, knowledgeable trainer, caring professional, and overall, a smart, dedicated, real individual. I would, without a doubt, visit his facility again and ask Mark to help educate future professionals in an instant. He is a very personable and educated KB leader. Just visiting his facility and being around his spirit of KB training makes one want to adopt a healthier lifestyle and explore the greatness he shares of KB training. Mark's leadership makes me wish I lived closer to Vinton, Iowa so that I could train with him on a weekly basis.

At the most recent RKC weekend in St.Paul April 2008, I had the good fortune to meet Mark and was even more fortunate to have him assigned to my team as one of my Assistant Instructors. Our task that weekend was to teach,perfect, and evaluate a group of students who were attending the course to certify as RKB instructors. The first thing I noticed about Mark was his precision when he was demonstrating kettlebell techniques. He has excellent form. He has the ability to transfer his knowledge (as I watched him confer with the students). He offered good insight, a thorough knowledge of the RKC system, and confidence in his teaching. He is extremely personable and friendly. What I saw and experienced of Mark, through discussion, observing his demonstrations, his evaluations of our students, and his ability to teach left me fully confident to recommend Mark at the top of my list! I know I will see Mark again at future RKC events and look forward to friendship with this
quality individual. Thanks for your assistance, Mark. It was my pleasure!

Got Muscles Where? Rated 10 out of 10
I normally consider myself a pretty fit person, that is until I started the Kettlebell Advantage group. I now have muscles in my legs and butt that I never have seen before. I have done several other workout routines and nothing gave me the confidence and results that this does. Mark is a great instructor, he knows how to push you just to that breaking point and just a little further. Thanks Mark for some great workouts.

When I tell people about Kettlebells, most have never heard of them before. I simply explain to them, you need to try them because you are missing out. It is a whole new experience. Like all, I am busy with work, family and all the extra curricular activities that life brings. Finding time to work out is tough. I don't know of anywhere else you can get the benefits of a 45-minute workout than with Mark and Kettlebells. He will make time for you. He is knowledgeable, patient and teaches great technique so you get optimum benefit from a workout. I have increased energy, strength, tone and have lost weight. From what Mark has introduced to this community, all should be in envy of. He truly cares about all of his clients and will go the extra mile to help them succeed. If you are not allowing Mark to assist you with your workout, then you are simply missing out. Keep up the great work Mark and I invite you to experience the Kettlebell Advantage

Mark deserves recognition in his ability to motivate students irregardless of their ability. He continuously is pushing us to a higher level of performance. I never have felt like my workouts have hit a "plateau". There is always that something extra I feel the need to strive for. Considering I have been at this for 8 months I feel that is a tribute to his ability as an instructor. When people are having a "rough day" during workout time - Mark is always there to provide encouragement - not tear you down. These are the traits of a true champion in my opinion. This is also the first time since high school wrestling that my body has felt as "tight" as at present - turning 50 this year makes me feel good I can make this statement.

My workouts at the local gym were getting stale. I needed something to add some spark and wake up my muscles again. Found it! The Kettlebell workout is a fabulous combination of cardio and strength training. Mark is a great instructor in that he provides positive feedback to keep you going, he's also not afraid to give you a challenge and make it fun. I always leave with a smile even though I'm drenched in sweat. I've been attending for less than a month and I'm already noticing the difference. Thanks Mark!
