Early 2003 I began a journey of weightloss which resulted in my total transformation. I pay attention to what I eat, I also established a strong community of support to keep me rooted in my new life...one of which is exercise. Due to health issues I found a gentle 30 minute curcuit workout for woman. As I became able I worked out harder. At some point I experienced that metabolic shift as my body gained muscle. After about 3 years on this equipment I reached a plateau. I was advised to begin a cardio program and I joined our local gym. For the first month I was motivated and got results. But, I quickly became bored. I loved my 30 minute workout. There was a young man working at the gym, Russell. He told us about Kettlebell. He had dvd's, books. He was into it. He offered to show me some technique, but I thought I would hurt myself. One day Russell came up to me, handed me a bell and the next thing I knew we were swinging and I LOVED IT!!!. I went home to wake up to the deepest burn I'd ever felt in my inner thighs, ha! I was hooked. This could be a 30 minute all body workout. I was excited. I got myself back into the gym, and to my delight Kettlebell has done for me what no thing has ever done! In just over a month my body was toning and strengthening in ways that not only look good, but I feel twenty years younger. I am 54 and have the physicallity I had in my thirties...only better. I want to thank Russell and his brother Kevin. Thier love and enthusiam for RKB is infectious. They have intelligently trained my body to develop and perform in an integrity of flexibility and strength; balance and skill. I am so happy with the results that I am planning on taking the workshop in February 2008 for certification.
