Chapman, owner and head coach of HyperFit USA, has been recognized as one of the top personal trainers in the United States. Chapman has more than 20 years experience in top-level fitness training experience. Hyperfit USA offers kettlebell training, CrossFit Training and Olympic Weightlifting. Hyperfit USA is one of the most experienced and well equipped training centers in the midwest. Doug's training experience spans nearly 25 year. First as a top level college wrestler, earning All-American status 3 times. Doug's training continued wrestling and training after college coaching in the Big Ten and helped produce several Big Ten Champions and All-Americans. Doug joined the US Navy where is served in several duty stations where his responsibilities included the physical fitness of his fellow sailors. Upon leaving the Navy, Doug brought his training experience to the general public as a personal trainer. Doug's personal training business grew to a point where he has to begin to offer boot camp classes to service his clients. The boot camp program advanced to a level where it incorporated CrossFit and Kettlbell training and established his own 8,000 square foot facility in Ann Arbor, MI. The facility boasts a large selection of kettlebells, barbells, bumber plates and medicine balls where a 30 person class does not need to share equipment. Doug is certified in many training methods and uses parts of each discipline to design training program. Doug holds these certifications: Russian Kettlebell Instructor, CrossFit Level III/II (Old system/New System), USA Weightlifting Club and Sports Performance Coach, CrossFit Kettlebell, IKFF Certified Teacher, CrossFit Endurance, CrossFit Gymnastic, CrossFit Barbell, CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting, Master BOSU Instructor, Crossfit Kettlebell and CrossFit Football.

Doug runs a top tier training facility..not only are the equipment, space, and location top tier, but also his sincere passion for training and helping others is tops in the area. This is what seperates Hyperfit from the rest of the fitness industry. His kettlebell instruction is just like his other fitness instruction - precise and easy to take in for people of all levels of fitness. Awesome job Doug!

Mr. Chapman has taken my son's body and built it into a man's. My son looks up to Doug and actually WANTS to go and workout on a daily basis (often doing doubles!). Douglas Chapman excels at motivating his clients to pursue excellence. He is sharply in tune with the abilities and challenges of his clients, and he approaches them with a keen understanding of when and how each should modify/approach a workout. With that in mind, every workout is designed to push each client toward maximum effort. He is a superlative instructor as well as a motivator. He takes the time to explain and demonstrate how each exercise should be approached, what risks remain for improper approaches, and what the long-term benefits are for engaging that exercise. Thereafter, it is all about motivation -- and he knows how to adapt his motivational styles for short-intense workouts as well as extended grinders. The result is not only in what you achieve in the gym, but how you feel and function as you go about the activities that constitute your everyday life.

I have been training at Hyperfit for almost a year now, and have also spent a significant amount of time training with Doug individually. During this time, I have gained a strong skill-base and a keen interest in perfecting form, both of which I can thank Doug for. Douglas Chapman taught me that excellence is what seperates us from the rest of the "fitness" industry. We start and end our classes on time. We constantly continue our education with books, certifications, internet links and meetings. I have been working out for many years at various places with various trainers/programs. Through all that time I had never heard of, let alone picked up a kettlebell in my life. Doug focuses on "doing it right" everytime and that makes the difference between a good workout and a priceless one. The training program Doug has developed at Hyperfit far surpasses any other gym I have been to. The workouts are different everytime you walk in the door and always challenging and demanding. I've been training with Doug for almost 10 months. I've spent many many years at globo-gyms trying to motivate myself, to get fit and be healthy - without much luck. Picking up a kettlebell can be a little unsettling for a beginner like me, but Doug makes it much less intimidating. Before a workout, Doug goes over all the exercises we will be doing, and makes sure everyone has good form with little/no weight. His corrections are eerily effective. Kettlebells are my favorite now. Thanks Doug
