Laura McCabe: Biography
Laura discovered yoga five years ago amidst the fitness world and she soon fell in love with the practice.
She feels lucky to have had the opportunity to study with Fiona Lockhart, Kat Carrol, Jessica Rosenberg, and Manju Pattabhi Jois. Laura began teaching yoga two years ago.
Recently Laura completed her 200 hour Yoga Alliance certification with CorePower Yoga under the instruction of Lisa Bloom and Jaina Portwood with an emphasis in vinyasa/power yoga. Laura is also a certified personal trainer(ACE) and a kettlebell practitioner(RKC). She strives to live the life of the modern yogi:
"I am constantly seeking ways to challenge the physical and mental bodies in order to go deeper within, searching for the Self."
Laura's challenging yoga classes are designed to strengthen the physical body and the mind, providing the student with the environment in which to obtain a deeper understanding of Self. In each class, students will connect movement to breath through a vinyasa style of yoga. If you are interested in taking your practice to a deeper level she also offers individual yoga sessions and kettlebell instruction.

Professional butt kicking

Laura is fabulous. I've been working with her for more than a year, and she continues to up the ante and make me work harder and better. She is also great at modifying exercises for me and coaching me about ways to build strength or flexibility in my weak areas. When I can actually do the exercise, she is quick to praise. Then she ups the ante again.

I have had three different kettlebell instructors in the past two years, but Laura teaches in a way that is motivating yet kind. She has a smile on her face while she is trying to kick your rear into shape! I would recommend her to anyone that I meet!

I've been working with Laura for almost a year now. I've never been in such good shape. Kettlebelling is a wonderful overall exercise and Laura challenges me to my outer limits. She insists on good form and making progress on weights and activity levels. I am strong and energetic, even given my 57 years, thanks to Laura's superb training and care.

Best Instructor Ever

Laura and I have been working together for 9 months now and I am extremely happy with our workouts. When I first started working with Laura, I was clueless on kettlebell training. Now, kettlebell training is my primary form of training. I love it! She has taught me how to efficiently use kettlebells to target every area I have really wanted to work on. I now own three of my own kettlebells and am able to use them at home or on the road to do fast, efficient workouts. Kettlebells rock and I would refer anyone I know to Laura McCabe. Very often I look around the gym and notice that my form is top notch in comparison to others, I truly believe it is due to the amazing instruction I have received from Laura in the past nine months. Thanks Laura!

Laura and I have been working out together off and on for 10 years. When Laura brought her Kettlebell trainning into the mix we had great fun. I started to see changes in my body that I had never seen before. I am a pilates instructor so that is a lot for me to say. What I really like about Laura and Kettlebells is that together I can really tap into my power. Laura is fabulous at unleashing what you forgot you had. Thank you so much Laura. Kris

I've been working with Laura for a year and a half. In that time I've made made great strides in strength and flexibility. Laura does a great job in making the sessions fun, interesting and always challenging, especially for a 51 year old couch potato. Kettlebells are unbelievable.

10.6 to 5.2

I have been training with Laura for approximately 18 months. During that time three things have happened: 1) I've gotten 18 months older and no smarter; 2) I've gotten significantly stronger with better balance and more flexibility in spite of being almost 60 years old; 3) My USGA Index has gone from 10.6 to 5.2 and I haven't had any golf lessons. That sums it up and it's not too hard to determine cause and effect. She's the best.

One Size Doesn't Fit All

Laura is able to adjust to how you feel on a given day, so things are never routine. The ability to transition from a flexibility workout to a pure strength improvement session or a cardio kettlebell smack down keeps you coming back for more. If you want to combine an ever changing challenge with fun, which produces real results, you need look no further.

Absolutely the Best

I have been training with Laura for over two years, 2-3x a week. I would show up every day if I could. The results in increased strength and flexibility have been amazing. She manages to make each session fun, notwithstanding her constant insistence on proper technique --which undoubtedly has led to the described results. She is very serious about her instruction, but teaches in such a pleasant way that you don't mind being constantly pushed to the next level. She is fantastic.

Passionate and fun

I've been training with Laura for more than 2 years and she is fabulous! She is passionate about fitness, kettlebells, yoga and brings an energy and excitement to every session. The harder she pushes, the happier she is (and you are, eventually). Watch out for the gleam in her eye and the smile--it means she's got something special in store for you! She is great at adjusting to different people's abilities and levels (I train in a small group of 3) but creating a good group dynamic where we challenge each other.
