I just completed the RKC and Sara was my team leader. I was truly grateful to have the fortune of being on her team. She was always motivating and helpful. I did way more than I thought I could. At my age (60) and my size (4ft., 11in.), I was just wanting to stick with the group and survive the weekend with dignity. I got a weekend that I will never forget and the confidence to go forth and "kick ass", as she says.

It was a pleasure and honor to be on Team Cheatham for the April 2008 RKC workshop. Sara was as attentive and helpful as she was knowledgeable. She didn't miss a trick and kept me humble all weekend long! Her own form was flawless, her teaching cues effective. Pavel did the right thing by promoting her right then and there after our Sunday Grad workout. The promotion was well deserved and this young lady has an even greater future ahead of her whatever path she takes. Bravo Sara-you are the bomb!

It is no wonder to me that Sara Cheatham has been promoted to Senior Instructor. At my RKC, it was her team leadership that allowed me to understand the adjustments that I needed to make, not just to show good form at the event, but so that I could feel when me form was off and make the adjustments myself. As an RKC she is a model for those of us who wish to pursue this as a profession, her teaching style is definitely one to be examined and modeled. I wish Sara all the best in her progression as both an RKC and a strength and fitness professional.

I have been doing Kettlebell for over a year and am going to RKC for certification at the end of April. I have had the great fortune to train with two other kick-ass instructors back home and during a recent trip to Vegas, Sara and I had a great workout. Sara is extremely passionate about what she does and it comes through with her clients. She is meticulous on technique and is truly concerned for the safety of her clients. I cannot wait to go back to Vegas to have another session. She is awesome!

Sara was my RKC instructor last weekend in San Jose and I must say she was very good. She took the time to teach us all the necessary skills to pass the RKC without making us worry about the small details. She was also very much into our team and truly thought we were the best out there. She believed in us, gave us everything she knew to be the best, and we all came out on top.

I had been doing kettlebells for about a year but was basically powering through it and didn't really know how to do some stuff. She did a very good job a teaching me the proper form. She always had a different program for every work out and kept things busy. Being in the military she had to be very flexible with my schedule and she was very accomedating.

I traveled to Vegas on business and had the pleasure of being trained by Sara. She is a true professional. She helped me improve my technique on the core kettlebell excercises and also taught me the importance of improving joint mobility. In addition to being a technically strong trainer, Sara is fun and inspirational. The next time I visit Las Vegas I will definately look up Sara.

I've been working with Sara for about 6 months now and she is truly rockin'!! After our first workout I became addicted! I get an awesome workout and feel like I've accomplished something each and every time. I'm constantly learning new things about kettlebells and about what I can physically be pushed to achieve. I can't tell you how many times she has shown me my next move and I told her she's crazy, but then after I've done it ( and didn't die! ) I think holy crap! She knows how to push me and knows what I'm capable of even when I don't. She's an outstanding teacher and knows her sh&%t!! I honestly can't wait until my kettlebell workouts! I got to meet Sara when I was at the Sept 2006 RKC. Though I did not get an opportunity to work with her or talk to her other than pleasantries. I learned a great deal by watching her instruction abilities. She has an incredible wealth of information about kettlebells and how to use them properly. Her energy, focus and passion for what she does, was a great source of pickme up for me at the cert. Not only that, it is also that dedication and passion that makes the opportunity to work with her something not to be missed. I read her training log daily to get inspiration for my own workouts. She kicks ass in everything she does whether its Naked Warrior, assisting at the certs, working with her own clients, teaching her kb class or her own workouts. If I can be half as strong as her when I rid myself of my layers of fat, I will be very happy! Of all the ladies that I know of that can press, TGU, and snatch the 24kg. Sara is the tiniest of them and she makes it look effortless and easy. If you are in Nevada and want to get results with kettlebells, you owe it to yourself to invest in what Sara has to offer. No doubt, If I make it to Vegas, you can be sure I will not miss the opportunity to attend her class and get my ass kicked Sara Cheatham style.

I bought a bell almost 10 months ago. My hopes were to get started on a kettlebell routine and train myself. However, as it goes for most of raising children and trying to maintain a household, I found myself slighted. I did swings on my own but just couldn't really devote more time. Then Sara started offering these wonderful group classes, and it was more fun and less routine. I met some really wonderful folks and got a great workout in. I have been consistent in my training now for 1 month and have all ready seen a 5 lb drop off. But most importantly I feel stronger and tighter, granted I won't have Sara's Glutes but I am working on it:-) I highly recommend this exercise program to anyone wanting a change from the routine day of working out. Keep up the great work Sara!!

I just realized I've never "rated" Sara. I learned the basics from her and took her grueling but fulfilling private lessons. I went on to become an RKC in Oct 08. I showed up at my RKC confident in my technique because I knew I learned from the best and consequently I was asked to return as an assistant instructor. Everywhere I go everyone tells me they know, love and respect Sara's ability and attitude. I always say Sara Cheatham was MY instructor and they always tell me how lucky I am. I agree! If you have the opportunity to train with her you better do it!!

No holds barred, flat out, tough! I went through a couple of Sara's workouts. Even though I had been working with kettlebells for a while, I walked away spent. I asked her to critique my form and critique she did. I'm a better man for it. If you're debating whether you'd benefit from Sara's instruction, quit talking and get on it! Sara Cheatham is highly skilled and leads training of remarkable technical detail. She is passionate about training and offers her expertise without reservation. While on a short temporary assignment to Nellis Air Force Base, I was introduced to Kettlebell training because Sara Cheatham volunteered to lead our unit PT weekly.
Even though I only trained for a few sessions, Sara's level of instruction, attention to precision and outstanding leadership instilled a sense of passion for Kettlebell training that has stayed with me through deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, as well as trips to other parts unknown. Wherever I go, there's a Kettlebell in my field gear.
Luckily, Sara has started producing high quality instructional DVD's so I can keep up with her training from remote locations. Sara is one of the best instructors around at what she does.
I recently recieved her DVD "How to perfect hardstyle kettlebell principles using Z-health concepts".
The pre workout Z-health warm up is great and easy to follow.
Right off the bat i learned i have an ankle issue that needs attention.
The kettlebell instruction on the basics is simple and to the point not to mention Sara adds even more than just the basic movements for variety and effectivness.
Put it all together at the end and she gives you some great workout combos to challenge you and have fun with.
As a guy i have an some what of an ego when it comes to listening to what a woman has to say about training but my ego is out the door here.
Two words for you,"GET IT",you won't be sorry.

Sara was my KB trainer here in Vegas. Her quality of instruction is excellent. She's not afraid to touch you to either 1) correct your position, or 2) show you where you should feel the exercise. (This was strange at first, but I see how it's helpful.) She offers a lot of encouragement. I'm impressed that she tailors the exercise to the student, so that more advanced students are challenged and those of us who are new to kettlebells don't get overwhelmed and discouraged. I greatly appreciate the way she keeps class moving and on time/schedule. She's considerate of my time.
I love her video! The Z-health warm-up is awesome! The KB instruction is simple and direct - the camera shots focus on the muscle group being worked.
If you have a chance to be one of Sara's students GO FOR IT! (If not...get her video.)

Sara was my team leader when I went to the RKC weekend at San Jose in 2008. I could not have gotten a better introduction into the RKC family. Her approach to teaching movement is innovative and always improving. She has an uncanny ability to give just the right cues at just the right time, a skill that will benefit the widest range of athletes and clients. She is respected and admired by the elite withing the RKC community because her skills as a teacher and as an athlete merit such respect. If you are anywhere near Sara, and not training with her, you need to arrange for an introduction immediately. Fit or not she will progress you from wherever you may be. Trainers like her are very rare. Don't miss out. Your body will thank you for it.

Sarah recently held a workshop in Venice, CA that was awesome. Doug Nepodal covered some kettlebells while she covered Z-Health. I have already been using joint mobility exercises on myself and my clients, but just the very short 3 hours I spent learning from Sara opened up doors for me. It gave me a supreme respect for the amount of knowledge that Sara has and it was so awesome to see how she puts it to use. If she ever comes out with a book or DVD I would buy it in a heartbeat. If you ever have a chance to attend a workshop with her, do it!

I had the pleasure to be an assistant to Sara's team at the recent RKC 09 cert in Denmark. I'm still blown away with Sara's easy and always thoughtful, efficient and professional manner. She delivers group and individual instruction with the same ease and efficiency. No messing around; straight to the point, *crystal* clear, no nonsense instruction.
Above and beyond her excellent approach to instruction, Sara's knowledge permeates her approach. She not only knows how to do something but why you're doing it. As a Master Z Health Trainer Intern, she also is an expert in Z Health, to which she brings the same no nonsense, cut to the chase assessment and approach to appropriate movement. I had the privilege to watch Sara's assessment technique and the constant results.
If you're lucky enough to live near where Sara's stationed, you have multiple reasons to go see her - whether it's to perfect your kettlebell practice or to fix a gnarly kink, or both - avail yourself of the skills of this super practitioner.

I first heard (or, rather read) of Sara by perusing her blog that I had found in another trainer's Kettle bell/Z-Health blog. I dug her music, most chill!! but it was her postings that captivated me. They are full of correlating anecdotal evidence and empiricism, sagacity and unparalleled insight. Her posts led me in search of any available reviews of her. My eyes nearly fell out of my head. There were so many! And ALL of them seemed to capture this flawless, impeccable, like, purified female trainer/coach/athlete with a heart of gold, to boot. What more is there to say or review? I am just one of the many, discernibly touched by Sara Cheatham of Red Star Athletics. I don't know how she reawakened, then brought forth the best, (thus far), in my kettle bell journey, but she has. She treats me like I am THE most important person with her EACH week for the ENTIRE training session. Because... I simply 'am. I genuinely feel that from her. To date, I do not recall a mistake or misunderstanding occurring between us during her instruction of a Z or bell drill. She is the perfect rep. I don't know how she does her job with such transcendence and still lives day to day like the rest of us. Apparently she can do miracles 'cuz ya' can't understand those either. She is incredibly kind, creative, and generous. She works with your finances and even checks in with your mood, wanting and WILLING to talk and listen re: what's going on in your life. Her feedback hits the target. Few personal trainers choose to sustain this vocational and distinctive attribute. She's like a Ph.D'ed Z-Health therapist because she is ever mindful of the body's emotions subsisting in an integral part of the whole package; The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Whatever I have needed she has given. She is uncharacteristically tolerant. Sara really does care for the client unconditionally. She really is the elusive perfect rep. And thank Goodness she is stationed in North Carolina.

Sara is a great coach! I spent five sessions with her after returning back from Iraq with my guard unit and she had me up and going with the basic movements. I was only able to do five sessions due to a busy work schedule and family life. Because of those five sessions I have been able to maintain a basic program out of my garage to keep me fit despite life getting even busier. Kettlebells are all about efficiency and getting results, and that is what you will get if you are able to train with Sara.
