Kettlebells are my newest addiction!

Training with Josh has been fantastic! His boot camp classes are power-packed, challenging, and fun. I'm of average fitness level and not necessarily sporty. Josh challenges me while also encouraging me to push myself and take it to the next level.
This is my first experience with Kettlebells, and six weeks in to it I can see my body transforming (I actually first noticed changes in the first few weeks). I've toned up, trimmed down, lost weight, and have increased strength and endurance. I am hooked! Working with Kettlebells has been the best thing I've ever done for my body. I thank Josh for giving me such a positive experience as a newcomer to the world of kettlebells.

I've worked with Josh in a few different settings and he's never ceased to amaze me. My first experience with kettlebells was working with Josh; his program helped me to lose those stubborn 7 lbs and got me into the best shape of my life. He's very knowledgeable about all aspects of fitness (health, mobility, etc) which I think helps so much in achieving results.
I enjoy working with Josh because he's very personable, knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. His workouts have a lot of variety and never get boring, unlike other trainers who focus on standard exercises that get boring and don't achieve results. I have and will recommend him to anyone looking to step up their workout and get in great shape.

The Next Level of Training

I have worked with multiple trainers in the past, and I thought I knew it all. At first, I just wanted Josh to help keep me on track. After working with Josh for a short period, I realized that I actually don't know anything about real fitness. Josh is not just your average trainer. His level of knowledge of exercise and nutrition has been eye opening for me. He doesn't use a "cookie cutter" approach for everyone. He uses his knowledge to create personal plans that maximize results. I am so impressed with Josh and would recommend his training and his kettlebell class to anyone. Also, for the first time in my life, I don't dread working out. It can be fun to get fit!!

Inspirational, Patient, and AWESOME

Josh's workouts are intense! This is my first foray into kettlebell training, and Josh's bootcamps have simultaneously kicked my butt and left me wanting more! His teaching style is personal, energetic and very inspirational. More importantly, his bootcamps get results. I can already see and feel the difference after only a few weeks.
The best part for me is that Josh has a world of knowledge and uses it to develop fresh workouts to avoid getting bored and to continuously educate his students. I routinely stay late to pick his brain, trying to absorb as much information as I can...which has actually inspired me to pursue my own RKC in the coming year.
I'm trying my best to spread the word, hoping that others will choose to take advantage and reap the rewards of his high-intensity,creative and fun programs just like I have.

Changed My Life!

Four years ago when I moved to Denver, I was just getting out of college and not only did I have a degree, I also had an extra 30 pounds. With very concerned parents and sisters and low self-esteem, I knew I had to do something about it but I didn't know how I was going to lose this weight on my own. I started training with Josh Hillis in the spring of 2004 and have continued working with him ever since. Every time I see Josh for our weekly training session, he energizes me to get pumped about the workout, keep a food log (that I tell EVERYONE about), and make me want to be the best I can physically and mentally. Working with Josh I have lost 30 pounds and I have an aim of 10 more pounds before my 2010 wedding. Josh's workouts keep me looking forward to the next one and have motivated me to become a runner. Since moving to Colorado, Josh has helped me train for ample 5K's, 10K's, 15K's, and this year I successfully completed two 1/2 marathons! Josh has changed my life! He is a wonderful trainer with passion, dedication, creative ideas, and a love for helping others. I feel stronger, I look better, and overall, I am a much healthier person for training with Josh!

I've had several trainers in the past and none can compare next to Josh. I went into the kettlebell boot camp thinking I would only do it for a month and move on. Now 5 months in, I don't see stopping anytime soon. I'm challenged to my limits everytime. I've learned so much from Josh and his training that my workouts will be changed forever.

Josh is fantastic! I originally came to Josh because I needed someone to make me accountable for my health. Josh not only stepped up to the plate but has made my training super fun and enjoyable!! I never get bored and am always stretched just far enough to get the results I am looking for without over doing it. I have been with Josh for over a year an a half now and my workouts wouldn't be the same without him!

I'm working toward my RKC certification and I've trained with four different RKCs so far to check out a variety of teaching styles. Josh stands out because of his knowledge of mobility (thanks to Z-Health), and his excellent approach with beginners. He has a friendly, mellow attitude and an aptitude for making his classes relaxed and fun. You almost don't know you're getting your butt kicked until you realize you're gasping for breath. :)

I've had Josh on my side for the last 2-1/2 years. I was overweight when we began, but soon began losing weight. Besides easing into the fantastic non-intimidating training, he somehow motivated me into dieting and learning a better way of eating for life. With anyone else, I'm sure I would have laughed at them and said "next trainer". Because of our magic together, I am over 30 pounds lighter now.
I always am looking forward to our next session, to see what he's been deviously plotting for me and taking on that challenge. His sense of fun is contagious. I finally have confidence to go to the gym on my own and know what to do without hurting myself and feeling out of place. While there, I have his upbeat sayings & excellent teaching in my head and it's almost as if he's there with me! Today, at age 50, I know I look far better than I did at 40. Thanks, Josh!

Super easy to work with during a very intense workout

I've never been a fan of working out at all. But after not getting the results I wanted through Pilates and Yoga, I gave this a try because it looked fun and, well, easy. It's not. But Josh was such an awesome trainer that when my initial soreness went away, I was excited to go back. He makes every class fun and enjoyable, despite the fact that you're sweating your butt off. He's extremely motivating but not in an intimidating manner, and he helps to coach you into better form by explaining the hows and whys of everything. I thoroughly recommend Josh if you want a super fun workout that gets results fast!!

I had the privilege of meeting Josh at a z-health certification. I would be hard pressed to find anything bad about this man. He is supportive, extremely knowledgeable. He was able to coach me through new ways of training myself AND, new ways of training my students.
