Matt Schinabeck introduced me to kettlebells and my life was forever changed. Fat was replaced by muscle. Weakness turned to strength. Kettlebells can be a little frustrating for someone like me who needs to break "tendencies", but Matt makes it much less intimidating. He is able to demonstrate the basics and explain them using constructive criticism, humor and positive reinforcement.
I highly recommend Matt as an instructor and look foward to future training sessions.

I am a complete beginner with Kettlebells. Through Matt's expert and patient instruction I was able to perform a proper swing. I also learned how to do the Get Up. He stressed the importance of the Program Minimum for someone like me. It was worth driving 80 miles to attend Matt's workshop. I highly recommend Matt as a training instructor.

Matt is a great teacher one-on-one. He helped me refine my technique for all the major moves. Specifically, I now know exactly what a proper clean and a proper snatch feel like. I also have a better understanding of the role of my legs in all of the major KB moves. Overall, a great session that has given me a lot to continue to work on.

Earlier this year I started having some right shoulder pain that was beginning to affect my training. I had been to the chiropractor, an orthopedic doctor, done different excercises for impingement syndrome, taken anti-inflammatories....none of which worked for very long. I was very frustrated & despite training hard, my shoulder was becoming weaker. I happened to get a hold of Matt to congratulate him on the CK-FMS. He asked how trainig was going and I told him my frustrations. He right away offered to do a movement screen on me to see if I had any asymetries or improper movement patterns contributing to my pain. He was able to identify areas of concern & gave me corrective excercises to combat these. Within a week and a half, my pain was gone. GONE! I couldn't believe it! I even tried certain movements that used to trigger my pain...and even they didn't cause pain anymore! Matt was right on with his assessment and plan of corrective exercises for me. He took the time to demonstrate & make sure I was performing the exercises properly. He explained the connection of tightness in my spine and how it related to my shoulder pain. Great instructor that I would highly recomend again & again!
