I started working out with Derek about 5 months ago. From the very first time we met, I could tell a difference in my body. Derek introduced me to kettlebells - something that I had never heard of before and certainly never worked out with. I've done step aerobics, spinning classes and body pump which were all decent exercise programs but I wanted to step it up. The kettlebells are amazing and have worked faster than normal weight training. Derek is awesome - my workouts with him are hard but very fun. He's great about mixing things up so that I never get bored with my workouts. In fact, we've never done the same workout twice. In just 5 short months I am stronger more healthy and feel really good about my fitness level - I owe all of that to Derek!!

Derek has overhauled my workout routine. I have weight trained about three years now and used all the conventional methods. I was getting tired of the same old, when I ran across Derek. He told me about the kettlebells, so I listened, and the rest is history. I have now been working out with kettlebells 4 months. I am stronger, I have greater endurance, and I wish I would have found them years ago. Derek is the best trainer I have ever used. I have trained in martial arts for 15 years prior to weight training, and he, by far, is the best I have seen. Derek takes pride in his work, is a nice guy, and is willing to help out when he can. My husband and I started working out with Derek about 5 months ago. Initally I was very skeptical of kettlebells,however after our first workouts my husband and I were both sold on them! We have both seen great gains in strength and confidence.
Before training with Derek I was unsure of my own strength. But with his workouts and tips I am becoming more and more confident and can see my body changing weekly!! I have seen growth in the amount of weight I lift as well as endurance.
The best thing about Derek is how he motivates me to push even harder, he is always cheering me on and congratulating me in my accomplishments. He truly wants to see me succeed! I would recommend Derek as a trainer to anybody interested in kettle bells or general strength training.

I just attended the basic Kettlebell class put on by Derek this last weekend. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone seeking a fitness routine or just looking for something new and challenging regardless of age or fitness ability.
I compete in MMA and do a lot of caveman style workouts along with working with traditional weights. I have always wanted to learn how to properly use a kettlebell to add to my workout regimen. Derek helped me with this and also set up a workout routine that will explode a persons, strength, endurance, and striking ability.

I'm thrilled that i chose to work with Derek! I'm a middle-aged, mother/grandmother with old issues stored in my body and post menopausal changes occuring regularly. Derek quickly saw the weaknesses, understood the issues and addressed it with his expertise in kettle bell training as well as his understanding of kinesiology and the flow of energy in and out of our bodies.
I've only been training with Derek for about 2 months, but can see big results not just in the muscular system but more psysical strength and my overall (especially)my mental well being.

Derek has such great consistent power and form. He teaches by leading as an example, but also works well with people individually. In our class, Derek worked with people who are "expert" traditional weight-lifters to people who seemed like they hadn't worked out in months.
I see Derek giving training sessions in our gym a lot, and the one word I have for him is focus. He is more focused on the person and making sure that they improve and achieve results than any trainer I have seen.

I have been out of the workout loop for several years now. I recently started training again with free weights. I took Derek's beginner class a couple weeks ago and feel that Kettlebell training is going to streamline what I need to do.
Derek had a large class, but did an excellant job of maintaining individual attention with each student. He is a stickler for form, which I know is always the key to maximizing what is gotten out of a workout.
I have a lot of practice ahead of me, but it is clear that it will be well worth it.

Training in the same gym as Derek for the past couple of years, I have seen many of his clients physically tranformed by his individualized training programs. I saw members training in the gym with the kettlebells and they appeared to be getting a hard workout, so when I saw Derek was having a training class, I signed up. I learned how to breathe, how to compress the body together to be more powerful, and how to use the kettlebell as safely and effectively as possible... and it was fun and made me feel very strong. It's nice to have a new, fresh exercise to look forward to perfecting, I think this is one I will use forever. Derek has a knack for being able to see exactly what it is that each individual needs tweaked..and helping them correct it to the benefit and appreciation of the entire class. Derek is a wonderful teacher! I am eager to get back to the kettlebell workouts already and I only left class 3 hours ago!

After seeing people using the kettlebell weights in the gym, I knew I had to take Derek's class. Not only did he teach the exercises, but also put a lot of focus on the correct breathing, form and concentration to optimize the workout. I now have a workout routine I enjoy! I have taken Derek's level 1 and level 2 class and look forward to incorporate all I have learned into my exercise routine. I also took the Kettle Bell I class this past weekend and it was great! Derek took the time to explain the philosophy behind Kettle Bell training and the required focus involved in performing the rigors of the exercises. He worked with each class member one-on-one to verify we were using correct form along with the required core functions. The instruction was top notch and the encouragement we received during the training made us all try harder.

I took a 3-hour beginner kettle bell class from Derek two weeks ago. I was cautious, since I have a weak disc in my lower back. My doctor gave me permission to take the class, but was concerned about my being taught proper technique. That's what impressed me about Derek Miller -- how thorough and methodical he was in teaching us, step by step, how to use good form and protect ourselves. I am 44, and have become a little bored after years of weight training. I am excited about this new form of exercise and appreciate the solid foundation.

Thanks to Derek my whole outlook on fitness has changed.
