This could be a novel. My son injured his back last summer. Medical model advice after 6 wks of unproductive PT was " lay down-read books-wait for MRI." A team of chiropractor, rolfer and Franklin put my son back on the soccer field and in his view, gave him his life back. Franklin's ability to work as a team member and adjust as needed was key. My son is stronger than ever ( go swings ). Thanks.

Franklin was an Assistant Instructor on Team Hartle for the June RKC in St. Paul. He did a great job!! He was always attentive to the team's needs and worked hard. His energy was very high and he had great mobility drills to help the team get warmed up every morning. He knows his stuff very well and I look foward to working with him again in the future! If you are in Boston, you definitely need to check him out!!

Franklin is great coach. Prior to meeting with him for the first time he made sure I was comfortable in choosing him by answering all of my questions. When I met with him we discussed my expectations and goals to develop a plan. His attention to detail with instruction was impeccable. He made sure I mastered the first step to each exercise before moving on to the next step. After meeting with him he is always available via e-mail for advice and motivation. This follow up is invaluable. It allows for constant improvement in my training plan. I have has huge improvements in my flexibility and posture. I used to come home with a sore back after a long day at work but now my backaches are almost non existent. I highly recommend meeting with Franklin.

I train with Franklin a few times a week at a local Olympic lifting club. Recently, he took time out of his lifting to teach me how to perform a proper Turkish Get Up. Within 30 min of his detailed guidance and encouragement, I was able to perform a TGU with 25lbs! He has also since instructed me on how to perform Kettlebell swings with 24kg! I would certainly recommend anyone interested in learning how to use Kettlebells in their training to go see Franklin. He is a patient, knowledgeable, and very enthusiastic instructor.

I found Franklin through my husband (the guy above!). I was skeptical about using Kettlebells because I didn't think my body could really handle this type of exercise, too strenuous for me. I met with Franklin anyway, went home, tried it, and stopped after a few weeks. It just felt like too much. This is where Franklin did his magic. He contacted me out of the blue to ask how I was doing. I told him that I stopped but was thinking about starting again because my old resistance exercises felt so boring after using Kettlebells. He honored whatever my decision would be and gently suggested that if I wanted to start back that I could consider starting very, very slowly, paying attention to my own pace. I knew I had his support and that he was ok with however I wanted to proceed. It was all I needed to hear. I haven't looked back since. I reached the goals he set for me earlier than I ever expected, increased the weight of the kettlebells since then, and find that I love (not a word I've ever used for exercise, though I'm a big Yoga fan) my routine. I've never had a trainer before and Franklin is without a doubt the key to my success. He has helped me to build my confidence and to test and shatter my boundaries.

Franklin is an excellent instructor. He trains both me and my wife. He has tailored our routines to our individuals fitness goals. I'm progressing nicely under his tutelage. And my wife is doing serious resistance training, something I never thought I'd see her doing. Franklin knows when to push us, and when to back off a bit. I highly recommend him as a personal kettlebell instructor.

Before I met Franklin, I had never had strength training. Being a woman, I was afraid of getting big and bulky. He explained that this wouldn't happen with Kettlebells and he was right. I am now more toned and limber than I have ever been. Franklin took a lot of time explaining and demonstrating the right form and technique. He is always available to speak with me if I have any questions. He calls every now and then to see how I'm doing and to review my workouts. When he feels I'm ready, he gives me new goals to reach. Keep up the good work Franklin!

Franklin's passion and knowledge of Kettlebells were immediately evident when I first trained with him. He thoroughly evaluated my fitness level and gave me an exercise routine that he occasionally tailors to help meet my desired goals. As a professional massage therapist, the physical requirements of the practice are very demanding. As a result it was very important to me that I increase my core strength and conditioning especially as I continue to add new clients. Franklin produced a custom program for me that within a few months was producing positive measurable results.
Through a program mainly consisting of high volume swings, TGUs and push presses I am now in the best condition of my life with strength that I didn't believe possible when I started. And most importantly I am now able to handle a much greater workload in my practice.

Franklin is an awesome instructor he pushes you to be a better you. My strength has gone thru the roof. I started with 16 kg and have worked my way to use the 24kg on a regular basis and the 32kg as well. I was a person that didn't like to work out, but knew the importance of it, he has allowed me to actually like working out with kettlebells.

A simple iron cannonball with a handle. How much could there be to it? Let Franklin tell you. He taught me more about the nuances of strength training than I thought I would ever need to know. He has spent many hours studying in the Dragondoor community and has accumulated a broad knowledge of hard-style training, mobility assessment and joint health. He has applied this knowledge to overcome enough obstacles in his own training to prove that he can walk the walk. He has demonstrated to me that there is always a way forward with training, and a new way to challenge yourself. He opened up for me a whole new world of techniques for building strength. I have yet to run out of ways to use the knowledge that he has passed on to me.

Franklin is an excellent instructor.
He is VERY enthusiastic and energizing in working with you and Kettlebells! He is very detail oriented, takes you through each step and as you are doing sets of various routines he constantly critiques your form help immensely to improve your ability and technique (very helpful and persistent instructions as I can even hear him in my head giving me instruction when I am doing my workouts at home). He makes the workout and pain even fun!

I first trained with Franklin about a year ago. I'd never worked with weights before, but seeing how Franklin used his kettlebells for a workout instantly sold me. He watched my form very closely and was able to spot and help me correct even minor mistakes. In the past year, generally working out every other day, I've only had one minor tweak (hardly an injury) that had me off swings and presses for a week. Not paying attention to my form like Franklin taught me. My 11-year old daughter also works out with me about half the time. If she gets sloppy, all I have to do is say "Franklin would not approve of your form" and she'll straighten it up. She really works to make sure she won't be embarrased when he reviews her workout. She's never been injured working out, smarter than me perhaps.

I have known Franklin for the past year and half as my office colleague. I have always observed him to be a passionate professional who gives it all if he finds reason in his cause.
With Kettlebell training, I see him to be driven and purposeful in his work regime and this has given me an oppurtunity to get into Kettlebell training.
I have lost close to 15 pounds in the last 2 months and I feel stronger and fitter than I have ever felt before.
I find it particularly useful that he approaches kettlebell training with emphasis on correct form and body movements and not limit it just a fitness package. This gives me complete confidence in my approach to training and it has benifitted me immensely.
His philosophy to training and fitness is a inspiration to me and has gotten me to be more fitness-conscious.
