10/10 KB Instruction Changed My Life!

By Anna Schroder / Shoreview, USA

Eric Bajuniemi encouraged me to try Kettlebells (KBs) even though I have bad knees (minimal and arthritic menisci bilaterally and no left ACL) and am overweight. He trains with Andrea Du Cane and has earned his RKC, so he has the right credentials. His classes are fun. The atmosphere is positive and encouraging. He always leads us through a great joint-loosening warm-up to get started and a wonderful stretching routine while cooling down. Before even touching a KB, Eric taught me the basic lifting techniques and movements. He is meticulous about reinforcing proper technique for everyone and recommending appropriate modifications or limitations for those who need them. I’ve never been injured and have never found myself favoring my worse knee, which has not been the case for most other types of exercise I’ve tried. When I started Eric’s classes, I could only bend my knees about 2 inches and couldn’t kneel or stand on one foot for any length of time. The heaviest KB I worked with was the 8 Kg. I’ve been attending class once or twice a week now for almost 2 years and I love my progress. Though I routinely work with lighter weights, I can push press 16 Kg, swing 24Kg, and dead lift 48 Kg. I’m strong and empowered. The shape of my body has changed and I’ve begun my weight-loss journey because now I can actually move it! Most importantly, the quality of my life is forever improved. With the strength of my leg and core muscles compensating for my knees I can bend them to 90 degrees and kneel down. I can walk across uneven and even icy terrain without falling and step into my pants/shower/bath with stability. I used to need a death-grip on the banister and to step down left foot first for each tread when descending stairs. Now I can walk downstairs like a regular person and don’t even need to use the banister … and carry along 2-40 lb bags of water-softener salt! Of special note for mothers and women of a certain age – the core strength I developed with KBs solved for me what years of Kegel exercises never did!! Training with KBs can improve your health and your life no matter your current level of fitness. Eric has the expertise to instruct those of us with physical challenges and he will lead you to better physical fitness. Start your journey now!

10/10 Precision instruction, amazing attention to detail

By David Roberts / Oak Grove, US and A

My wife has been trying to get me to try kettlebells for some time. I have a history of chronic low back injury, and was reluctant to even entertain the idea based simply on the potential for injury due to impropper technique. I have seen classes at some gyms where it almost seems as if it is trial by fire instruction. Go get your bell and start swinging kind of thing. This was certainly not the case with Mr. Bajuniemi. From the start, I had a lot of questions. A LOT of questions. Even as thorough and detailed as Mr. Bajuniemi is in his instruction, I still have questions, because that's just my nature. Never once, have I felt like I've inconvenienced him with a question, or felt like my questions were unwelcome. He provides the answers in ways that I'll understand, and makes sure that I'm comfortable with the explanation before moving on. He understands and is observant of students limitations, and knows when it is appropriate to modify , or suggest alternative excersizes.

I've found that through Mr. Bajuniemi's class, I've been able to safely learn and enjoy practicing kettlebells. His workout structure is amazing, challenging and never boring. I look forward to continuing with Mr. Bajuniemi as this is one of the best workouts I've ever had.

10/10 Perfect Instructor For Even The Non-Athlete

By Megan Corbin / St. Paul, MN USA

Eric is a highly dedicated, caring and motivational instructor. His classes offer a balance of instruction and difficulty which create a workout perfect for both beginners and more advanced kettlebell students. As someone who had no sports/workout experience, I found Eric's clear, step-by-step explanations easy to follow. As I have become more experienced, I have benefited from the continued corrective tips and explanations that Eric gives to all of his students on an ongoing basis. His emphasis on safety and attention to detail puts the mind at ease and allows one to enjoy the workouts without worrying about mishandling a bell and hurting oneself. Eric's instruction lets you focus all of your attentions on becoming stronger and more confident with the bells. This emphasis on safety is also apparent in the total-body warm-up and cool-down sessions that form an essential part of Eric's workouts, focusing as much on building strength as building on flexibility and range of motion.

Yet, within this sincerity and seriousness, it is Eric's creation of a high-energy, fun atmosphere which engages his students and keeps them coming back. The group atmosphere is both friendly and supportive, visible in the way in which hard workouts and personal gains are celebrated by all. Thanks to Eric's well-planned classes and supportive instruction, for the first time since the 5th grade I can touch my toes! I can now lift and toss my wok and skillet while cooking - like a real chef! And my perpetual klutziness has diminished due to increased flexibility, balance and strength.

Give Eric's workouts a try! I know you will find them enjoyable, challenging and wonderfully addictive!

10/10 Exceptional instructor, very knowledgeable

By Nick Franco / Minneapolis, MN USA

I met Mr. Bajuniemi through Taekwondo and he encouraged me to try his kettlebell class. As an athlete I am always looking to gain an edge in my training and Eric showed me how to do so using kettle bells. His attention to detail and explanation of every exercise is invaluable. He breaks down every movement and explains why they are done that way. Eric is a major stickler when it comes to technique. He watches every move you make and offers constructive criticism to help you improve. His classes are energetic and fast-paced. Since I started training kettlebells my endurance and strength has greatly improved. I am now addicted to kettlebells because of Eric. It doesn't matter if you're a hardcore athlete looking for that edge or if you're looking for a general lifestyle improvement Mr. Eric Bajuniemi is right person for the job!

10/10 Fun and motivating classes

By Shruti Patil / Minneapolis, MN USA

Eric is an enthusiastic and an extremely energetic instructor! His classes are enjoyable and I like the drill combinations he chooses. He keeps changing them and it keeps the monotony out of the workouts. He increases intensity at a good and suitable pace, and overall the workout feels customized and very challenging.

I also like the fact that he never skips the warm-up and cool down stretching before and after the exercises. Thus, there is a very nice feel-good factor about an entire session. His knowledge and experience with the exercises is excellent, and he explains the drills, the reason behind them, the what-to-do's, what-not-to-do's and also suggestions specific to people in the class. He is a great motivator!

10/10 Can't go wrong with Mr. Bajuniemi

By Chong Luo / Minneapolis, MN USA

Although I haven't taken his Kettlebell class yet, I've been training in the same Taekwondo school as he does and I have watched his Kettlebell class for a few times. He is a great instructor in both TKD and KB. Very knowledgeable and patient. Attention to details. When you come to him for help, he can give you the right solution specifically for you, to help you improve. I have watched his KB classes for a few times, very professional and care for his students. I strongly recommend Mr. Bajuniemi, if you want to get professional and effective training in KB.

10/10 Great instructor

By Abby Bajuniemi / St. Paul, MN USA

I met Eric when he was my Taekwondo instructor, and he teaches kettlebells very much the same way he teaches TKD. He is thorough, patient, and genuinely wants to improve his students' lives through activity. His attention to detail is due to his desire for his students to perform movements well and safely and to provide maximum benefit. His classes are great for seasoned athletes as well as those getting back into fitness after a leave of absence or due to an injury as well as those who are complete beginners. Whatever your fitness level, you will get a good workout with him!

10/10 Pretty sure this man knows his stuff

By Rdn Enterprises / Minneapolis, MN USA

Haven't trained with him in Kettlebells, but have had some kind of contact or training with Eric for more than 20 years(gosh dude we're old) and know Eric as well trained and highly motivated person in what he participates in.

Have a pretty good confidence in referring Eric as an instructor.
