Betsy's DVD carried me through the Holiday's when I was too busy to get to her Kettle bell classes .
I have arrived in the New Year without any extra pounds to shed ! I was able to pop in her DVD and get a great workout in while my kids were nestled all snug in their beds .
I am so excited to be able to train with Betsy by DVD on the days when my schedule prevents me from getting to her class .
There are 3 workouts to choose from and , if done weekly, you will see Rapid Results. She guides you through each workout with a smile on her face ... but don't be fooled - she has trained Navy SEALS !
She is extremely careful about teaching correct form and results are guaranteed . Her DVD is really well executed and easy to use whether you are just beginning to train with Kettle bells or you have been swinging them for a while .
Betsy Collie is a living, breathing example of what regular Kettle Bell training can do for a body . A world class instructor , Betsy is an inspiration to all of us who are blessed to be in her class !

Good beginner tape. If you already know the basic swing, snatch and turkish get up, you can do this tape. Lots of rest for beginners or the older generation. Someone younger or stronger may need a more advanced tape.

My reasons for giving this a less than stellar review: First, it's not a DVD, it's a DVD-R--this should be clearly stated in the description. Second, the individual workouts aren't chaptered so you can't skip the explanations of what complexes, etc. are after you've heard them the first time. Third, why say we're doing 3-5 sets and then do 4, and why say 90-120 seconds rest and then do less or, worse still, a different amount each time? The workouts themselves aren't bad, although they're not particularly innovative. Overall, though, this was a very disappointing purchase that doesn't measure up to the high-quality DVDs put out by other RKCs.

This DVD has several of my favorite kettlebell moves, exhibited in terrific combinations with great intensity. I love workout one; you get your fill of the Turkish getup in approximately 10 minutes followed by three rounds of ladders with the two-handed swing. (My only modification on workout one is to switch the bell hand-to-hand with a snatch after completing two Turkish getups on one side, beginning the other side with the Turkish getdown; I prefer this switch rather than moving the kettlebell behind my head.) The ladder swings (10,15,20,25) will really get your heartrate up, especially with a heavy weight.

Workout two is awesome, with swing, snatch, clean-press, and squat combinations completed in sets of five for four rounds. I feel like I'm resting a lot on workout three (a clean-press-squat-lunge combination is completed once on each side with 90-120 second rests in between). However, we complete 10 rounds of the combination. I'll probably appreciate the rest periods as soon as I can get my one-handed press weight up to 16kg. (Still pressing 12kg with one hand for now.)

Overall, this was a great addition to my collection. Betsie and Tim are charming and great instructors.

Quality instruction and a good variant on the warmups. The first section is the program minimum, and remember you do not have to do the whole thing to begin with or match them rep for rep. The combo section is very functional. Quite good to do two or three cycles when time constrained. As to the third section, I have played with it using decreasing weights, and various rests and it is quite result producing. This last one is far better than expected. Good for beginners, but also has all the essentials for anyone.
