10/10 Phil Ross is Phenomenal
By James

Advanced Russian Kettlebell with Phil Ross is incredible. I was blown away by his endurance. After I went from the short and informative tutorial to the four combinations Ross puts together, I could not wait to add these routines to my arsenal. But it does not stop there. I clicked on ?Warm-up? and Ross takes you through an awesome routine. This information alone is worth the value of the DVD. Double 24kg Quarter Turn Hop-Squats!?! What?, my glutes are still sore and I did not even come close to 24kg.
8/10 One Good KB Workout Video
By John Wilson

I enjoyed the new Advanced Russian Kettlebell DVD by Phil Ross. I think it is a marvelous video if you enjoy the hardcore "pain" of a good KB workout. Why? Bottom line: Simple and Motivating.
Simplicity - The exercises are not complex and there is not such a laundry list of exercises that you will have a hard time remembering them during an intensive workout.
Motivational - I was pumped just watching the thing. Once I have two bells to work with, I'm going to love this! I've already integrated Phil's warm up routine in my present KB cardio routine.
Ok... there are some drawbacks.
I only have one KB at present, and certainly not the full range of KBs that Phil uses in the video. I suppose that's great if you're selling KBs ;-) I have enough at home, but not here in theater. I guess I'll have to order another one soon. If you haven't obtained the level of fitness to sling the heavier bells, you can STILL use Phil's routine and work your way up. If nothing else, you'll get more out of the bells you have before you move up.
Phil only uses one camera angle (a frontal view) to demonstrate the exercises. These exercises can be dangerous if not performed properly. It would have been helpful to integrate a simultaneous frontal and side view when demonstrating the basic exercises.
Despite these tiny drawbacks, I am glad I got this.
10/10 Great, intense conditioning workout
By Steve Corso

This workout is great for conditioning, especially if you are a martial artist. VERY tough, though.
10/10 Not for Lightweights!

Great DVD! Phil Ross has put together a killer workout. Loved the follow-along style and overall simplicity of the program. It may be simple to follow, but it's a killer to do! Anyone wanting a great kettlebell workout DVD would do well to add this to their collection.
10/10 10 out of 10 to Phil Ross
By Rich James

An excellent DVD. PLain simple instructions to follow, and the warm ups suited me down to the ground as I am recovering from a sacro iliac injury. Great work out from a guy who obviously knows his stuff!
4/10 Boring - a real sleeper
By Patty
/ Long Island, NY
I turned this DVD on while in bed and fell asleep on it. The next day when I was wide awake was no better. It simply was not fun. Phil could have told you to jump rope for a warmup, (I fast forwarded a lot) and he could have just told us to do three sets, without us watching him do all 3x. His exercises were nothing that would help me keep client retention. Basically he just added a second KB to his workout, otherwise his exercises were no different from what I already do. He needs some choreography.
1/10 Worst dvd ever

Never before have i received anything less than a great product from dragondoor. This video, however, is terrible. Many of the exercices are dangerous and even the form was not good, which can lead to injury. Even with this, the exercices just aren't that beneficial. This looks like an attempt simply to create something new with kettlebells without either benefits or saftey as considerations. I will be asking for a refund.
4/10 yawn!

fell asleep waiting for the guy to stop skipping!yes i know a warm up is crusial, but why cant he say at the beginning to warm up and then get into the exercises?appears to me to be just"filler time"for the dvd.come on guys, you know what i mean, lets get it together.
10/10 Awesome training DVD...
By Russ Knights

Having spent the past 20 years training as a fighter, this DVD has had an enormous impact on my preparation. I wish I would have had this when I started out in the fight game.
9/10 good but two kbs are needed
By Billy
/ New York
This is a great DVD with a lot of good exercises and cardiovascular work but you will need two kbs of the same weight to get everything out of it. I have a 15, 35, and 53, which are the reccomended weights, but I have one of each. I will be sticking with the ROP program and may use some of these exercises on the variety days.
