10/10 Something for everyone
By Dan John

Although David Whitley's new DVD is subtitled "Kettlebells Beyond the Basics," I think that this might be the first thing to show a new trainee. In many ways, the new lifter is going to see "the path." And, what a long path it might be for many of us.
Of course, any extra called "Hand me a beer and watch this" is going to grab my attention, I found David's instructions beyond the basic kettlebell moves (Snatch, Swing, Squat, Press, Clean and Get Up) to be of great value to many of us with only one kettlebell or in the need for some simple and fun variation.
One small thing I liked about this DVD is David's use of "regular people" in demonstrating the process. It was clear that some of the moves that David made look simple, certainly were not simple. Something like "keep the arms locked" is a easy phrase to say, but clearly not an easy thing to do. It's fun to watch this DVD.
I think this DVD belongs on the shelf. It has the kinds of combinations that most of us are looking for on our variety days: challenging! Hats off to you, David.
10/10 A must have for the advanced trainee.

This dvd could not be more appropriately named. David is remarkably inventive and his application of the "same but different" philosophy will help you take your training to new levels. The format gives you the added bonus of seeing David in a workshop setting actually making corrections of common mistakes. That alone is worth the price of the dvd. While this is not a beginner's video, it belongs in the library of any trainee who has mastered the basics.
10/10 An excellent resource

Full Body Power is an excellent resource for anyone looking to use Kettlebells to improve their strength, flexibility and coordination. David Whitley's reputation as a top notch instructor is well-deserved. He uses thorough explanation and demonstration, bringing unparalleled clarity to the complex, full body movements included in this DVD. David is both an expert lifter and teacher–his unrivaled mastery of the Two Hands Anyhow makes this particularly evident.
Be sure to watch the "Hold My Beer..." bonus feature. If you're unsure of David's abilities, this will make you a believer!
Whatever your current ability level, Full Body Power is sure to help make you better.
10/10 FINALLY, THE BENT PRESS EXPLAINED!
By Dennis
/ Spotsylvania, VA USA
Finally, the Bent Press has been explained and demonstrated properly. David?s use of a simple house hold item as a training tool is ingenious and greatly reduces the amount of time need to master the movement. The instruction of the Bent Press alone is worth the price of the DVD. Filmed while teaching live students, this video is unique in that it shows common mistakes and David?s corrections. Highly recommended for the intermediate to advanced trainee.

Power to you Com. Whitley! Full body Power is a must see dvd if you want to take your Kettlebell training to a higher level. Full Body Power provided me with a better understanding of the Two Hands Anyhow. You feel so strong.. like a legend! When I'm training Burpees I now add the Kettlebells! It just seems to make sense cause you add a deadlift to your Burpee! It's explosive on the way up.. Once again, great job Dave!
10/10 Awesome combinations!

"FULL BODY POWER is an awesome DVD. I've been doing my combination drills in the sun while breaking a good sweat. These combo drills really break up my routine while training strength, endurance, speed, and mobility all at the same time. David is a great and articulate teacher as well as a genuine strongman-- he toys with the heavy kettlebells!"

10/10 Strength Combined With Creativity At Its Best!
By Tom Gifford
/ State College, PA
As soon as you start watching Full Body Power, you will see that Dave Whitely isn't just any ordinary kettlebell instructor. Dave has incredible talent for developing new kettlebell training techniques that go way beyond the ordinary stuff that 99% of kettlebell trainers do. I would highly recommend this DVD for anyone who wants to expand their training knowledge and practice. This DVD is full of great information that you can apply to both advanced trainees as well as beginners who have already developed a solid base. I give it a 10 out of 10!

This DVD is an excellent choice for you if you are:
1) Not in Nashville, and can't learn from the Iron Tamer in person or attend his classes;
2) An RKC instructor looking for new ideas, instructional tools, and fresh, effective training combinations for your own classes; or
3) Anyone else.
If any of these descriptions fit you, you should probably get this DVD. Enjoy your new strength!

10/10 a heavy hitter

If you have a chance to attend Dave Whitley's workshops it would be in your best interest to do so. If you don't have a chance...buy this DVD. This is essentially what happens behind the closed doors and it shows what a bit of creativity with kettlebells can show. Some of these take a truly sick mind to come up with...and I dig it. And one of the things that really impressed me is his teaching of the Bent Press. The Bent Press is a highly technique demanding lift and one that is easy to do wrong. His way of teaching it is probably the best I have ever seen.
10/10 He's my friend but...
By Geoff Neupert, SrRKC

...he's just plain sick.
Yup, that's how I'd describe David Whitley. Or at least his new DVD, Full Body Power.
I am amazed at how he can take such simple, yet brutally effective exercises like the squat thrust/burpee and twist them into something so awful, it just begs for you to try it.
You will learn new and cruel ways to whip yourself into shape by using simple yet brutal combinations that tax your body in ways you didn't think possible. But, the "suffering" is worth it because here's the best part: You get results.
So, you need something different, something to "shock" your body into making the changes you want? Get "Full Body Power." Dave takes "tried and true" exercises and puts them in combinations you and two others could never even think of if you tried. (Or maybe you could, but it's me who's not that "creative.") Anyway you'll thank Dave for challenging, stimulating workouts right after you're done cursing his name.
(Disclaimer: The exercises presented in Full Body Power are really quite enjoyable, in a masochistic sort of way.)
10/10 Terrific video, especially for novice bent pressers
By George Pazin
/ Pittsburgh, PA
I just got this yesterday and watched it last night. Fantastic.
There were several things that I really loved:
1) David introduces and performs many different varieties of combination moves - deadlift+squat+c&p, TGU+windmill, etc. I love the idea of combining moves, can't wait to try it out.
2) Not only does David show the moves, he has a small class with him also performing the moves, so you get to see his corrections of others' mistakes. Sometimes you learn as much from mistakes as you do by watching someone like David or Pavel performing a move the correct way.
3) The bonus section "Hold my beer and watch this" was totally awesome. Seeing David perform many moves such as clean and pressing 2 beasts (at least they looked like beasts to me), juggling bells, perform the DuCane press (as seen on YouTube), etc., was really fun and inspiring.
BUT HERE IS THE REAL REASON YOU SHOULD BUY THIS VIDEO, imho:
If you are at all interested in learning the bent press, as I definitely am, the section on the bent press and the 2 hands anyhow are terrific. You get to see David perform the bent press from multiple angles, critique others' bent presses, and (maybe most importantly) you get to see how David uses a dog leash to help others learn the bent press more quickly. I have to admit, I am hugely partial to folks who use simple tools to convey an idea more effectively and efficiently. It was very obvious that this clever move is extremely helpful in teaching the proper technique. I'm going to the pet store tomorrow!
Fantastic video, a worthy addition to anyone's library.

David presents in a down to earth manner some very effective ways to get more from your kettlebell training. He presents a standout technique to help anyone with mastering the bent press. This DVD will help you maintain some freshness in your routines. At the end, David in a very fun way shows what is possible and that is very inspirational.
10/10 Hot and Hairy
By Tim Shuman, RKC

Once again the "Irontamer" gives you another tool to take your training to the next level. Dave uses direct, to the point, keep it simple, safety first, training instruction to break down some of the harder KB exercises. This DVD is filled with A-ha! and OH! moments. With great tips to break the traditoinal sticking points of the exercises.
The perfect match for 101 and 102 Kettlebell Workouts.

$50.00 for a demonstration of the two-hands-anyhow? Good instruction, nice guy, but the content is not worth the price.

Dave,
I recently purchased your DVD on Full Body Power-kettlebells beyond the basics. I truly enjoyed watching it and can't wait to put some of it to use. I am currently training for my first triathlon next month, so I have other priorities for training right now! Once again, nicely done video-lots of good tips. I've gone through a kb workshop with my trainer who you actually know-Kori Bliffert and just totally feel in love with kettlebells. I've since lost my trainer to Texas, but my work goes on. I am glad that I purchased your video, it brought back a lot of "little" things I forgot! I am truly amazed by the weird looking "ball with a handle"!It always kicks your ass no matter what!

10/10 The best DVD for learning the bent press
By Logan Christopher RKC www.legendarystrength.com

David takes the basic kettlebell moves and builds on top in new creative ways. I was just watching but had to pick up my kettlebells to follow along. Some of his seemingly simple moves like the Overhead Follow the Leader Press were humbling. His explanation and drills for the bent press are the best I've seen. Learning and applying the exercises in this DVD can't help you but to become stronger, better conditioned and more coordinated.
