My wife was somewhat reluctant to try Kettlebells because she thought it was “too manly”. MisFit’s DVD could not have come at a better time. My wife enjoyed working out with the DVD. The DARC swings, push-presses, and high-pulls really got her sweating. She really liked the combination work at the end of the video. Needless to say, WE got a great workout in about 25 minutes.

I highly recommend this dvd to beginners like myself. Missy has an easy relaxed way of explaining and showing the proper use of kb's. The 25 minute format makes it easy to find the time to workout and although she makes everything look very easy when your done your breathing and your sweat will let you know you did something very good for your body.After just a few weeks my stamina is much improved and the pain in my shoulders and knees is practibly gone. You cant miss with Missy. |

We liked the explanation but expected it to be a workout routine. There were not nearly enough excersises and no way to make it enough of a workout on it's own. We actually returned it and will be looking for more that we can alterntae with the two "Art of Strength" DVD's that we already have. |

I've been involved with kettlebells for about 5 years now and am aware of the basic movements. I purchased this DVD because I had my baby 4 mos. ago and needed the motivation of a "routine" and thought this was the answer. If this DVD is supposed to motivate the beginner or person to get back into shape - then the energy from Melissa and the music needs to be stepped up.

The first four paragraphs of Dragondoor’s advertisement accurately describe the content of the DVD. I thought this would be valuable to show someone who was not familiar with kettlebells. After watching the video, I do believe that this is a good overview and may particularly help someone decide if they are interested in investing in kettlebells and in instruction.

This is a good basic KB routine. It doesn't deal with what I consider dangerous shoulder work. It mainly covers snatches and basic moves. It is a little too bright as it is shot during the daytime but other than that, I think it's great. |

Pretty disappointing when I watched it, since I held the standard by Anthony Diluglio (Art of Strength) and Sara Lurie (Iron Core Way). But, as a female who had not touched her KBs in over two weeks, I felt pretty sore the next day from the workout she provided.

Misfit and her friends are beautiful but there is no real value to this DVD. It is shot like a typical exercise TV show. There is no real instruction and the technique on many of these exercises is very sloppy and dangerous. Do not waste your money on this one. Stick with the real instructors like Pavel. |

Misfit's Kettlebell Basix is a good video for those beginning to work with the kettlebell. I like the way there are instructions/demo prior to having to do the actual exercise. Some of the footage/views are a little obscured due to some sun glare but all in all it's a good video. |

This is a definitely a simple straight forward beginners basics workout, so keep that in mind if you decide to purchase the DVD, the workout may disappoint anyone but beginners. I have a few Kettlebell DVD's and I like Misfit's Kettlebell Basix for its simplicity, it is a quick straight forward workout I can do in less then 25 minutes. I like the warmup/stretch routines and the 10 exercises presented. When I want a tougher workout I will use a heavier Kettlebell. Melissa's DVD presentation is relaxing so it is great for an early morning workout. One draw back is the exercise demonstration and workout are both presented together, so you have to view the explanation during each workout. This is definitely a "Basix" workout as the title indicates, so think about purchasing this if you feel its simplicity may disappoint you. |
