10/10 What the greats do naturally, Pavel teaches to the rest of us...

When I consume a teaching resource, I look for two things; first does it have something i can use immediately, and second does it mention something that I have been playing with in the gym. "Strength Stretching" hits both points several times. Things I used immediately are the wall squat, the Wedge, the RKC hip flexor stretch, and the GHR back stretch. The wall squat has become my squat warmup drill, the wedge changed my dl start routine, the hip flexor stretch and when to use it are now part of my training and meet bag of tricks, and the use of the GHR for learning to arch is ingenious. The press behind the neck stretch and "prying" are two drills that I have been playing with and have enhanced through the DVD. The Wall squat portion itself would have made the DVD worth it, but the rest of the material is superb and clearly presented. Graphics are concise. Great for both new and more experienced PLers. Very few things have my full endorsement, but this does.

The squat, bench and deadlift are staple lifts whether you train for competition or just want to pack on usable muscle. Strength Stretching can be a valuable resource in learning how to make the most of these lifts. I have purchases many of Pavel's products over the years, so I expect a lot from them. This one is no disappointment. Exercises given in this video help lifters develop good form in the squat and deadlift and improve flexibility for all three lifts. Movements are explained and demonstrated in Pavel's usual straight forward and easy to understand manner. This is done without making the explanations overly lengthy or wordy. The video is well organized and has good amount of production value to it. Pavel makes references to current day lifters and Russian athletes. Its not hard to recognize that quite a bit of research has gone into this effort. Beginning and exerienced lifters can all benefit from this video.

I recently recieved the Strength Stretching DVD. This is another quality product from DD. I was suprised at how much information was on the video, considering the price it is a great bargain. This is a must for people who squat, bench, or deadlift. And I believe it's worth owning for anyone who lifts weights, or kettlebells. I don't do any of the powerlifts, I only train with kettlebells but I believe that using the information will definately improve my kettlebell lifting. I really like that DD is putting out products now for specific athletes, i.e. powerlifters. I hope they put out some programs for kettlebells and martial arts next!! A great product in my opinion.

After suffering several nagging injuries from PL I finally came across this valuable resource. There are several exercises within this DVD that I implemented into my training program immediately. I am confident that the stretches and techniques mentioned in Strength Stretching will not only up my total, but keep me injury free in the years to come. I recommend this DVD highly.

The one thing I really liked about this video is Pavel really explains how to stretch and use your core to make your gains bigger,heavier, and shows other stretching exercises that strengthen your abs which is part of your core. Once you get the video you will understand what I am saying.

Pavels instructs on many crucial points in an exemplary precise and detailed way, making them very easy to grasp, follow and most importantly gain from. Having been in the game for quite a while, I thought I had reached a plateau near my max potential, but within a month of applying his advice I have added 33% to all the three majors - bench, squat and dead ? and I?m confident the gains will continue: Strength Stretching is a roadmap to the adventure of rediscovering the body and its true potential. I strongly recommend it to any power lifter, serious fitness athlete or personal trainer.

I have been looking for coaching on how to sit back more and keep my chest up as I'm focused on improving my squat form. My range of motion in the hip flexers and lower back is limited and I have been searching for ways to improve my range of motion. Pavel's DVD exactly addresses my issues and provides exercises for loosening my trouble spots and for correcting form. And its working! I can see how this work is also improving my DL which is coming along nicely. The production is very good; everything works for getting the message across.

I am a master powerlifter (55-60 class) who has been out of even training for PL for 4 years due to a medical condition. This DVD is powerfully presented, motivational and I have started to practice the squat stretching excercises in particular as this is my weakest area - particularly getting depth after so long away and "aging joints"! After just 3 weeks I can notice a reduction in soreness in the hips, increased flexibility and the ability to handle more weight. I still have a little way to go for depth but am confident that these excercises will get me there. I am applying the bench and deadlift stretches and can feel the difference in muscle soreness after a workout.
The only area still sore is my shoulders BUT this is long after a workout not DURING the workout as I was suffering.

I have been a competitive powerlifter for 3 years, and I had started to feel some aches and pains due to muscle imbalances around the hips, back and shoulders. I purchased "Strength Stretching" knowing it would help, as Pavel is an expert in corrective and high performance exercise.

My squat technique has improved, my lower back is no longer "tight", though it remains just as strong as before. My deadlift lockout has more "snap" to it due to both technical improvements and Pavel's techniques which loosened and relaxed my tight hip flexors, the bane of any power athlete.

My endorsement goes out to Pavel Tsatsouline as a superior strength and mobility/flexibility coach!!!

10/10 I just thought I knew how to squat!

I've been squatting for 18 years and have spent the last 8 years teaching young football players the squat. I realized only a few minutes into the DVD that I really didn't know as much about squatting as I thought I did. I bought the DVD to help with my hip flexibility and got so much more than just that.
I have went through the material several times; even taking notes and trying to break it down and put it into practice. It is an amazing amount of info for only 38 minutes. It was worth the price and will continue to pay dividends in the future.
If your serious about any or all of the three power lifts this DVD is a must have resource!

 
10/10 Great Tips on the Big Three Lifts!!

This DVD contains some great advice and illustration relating to some techniques that anyone performing these lifts must see! Although the advertising seems to be geared towards power lifters, much of the information is beneficial to anyone wanting to perform these great exercises on a regular basis even at lower weights. I have greatly improved my form in all three lifts, and feel more confident now that I'm doing them correctly and safely. This is not just a stretching DVD, but will explain and show how to do the lifts themselves as well! Well worth the cost and more. Thanks Pavel!

No truer words to correct your form than lift the tail. Great vid for squaters and deadlifters.Increase your flexibilty and learn to pull or push properly. Seems almost too easy but sometimes you just need to hear it explained or demonstrated.

This is worth every penny! I've spent years in the powerlifting ring and well tightness is always an important factor. This product has helped me out with a lot of my lifts. Especially my squat and deadlift. At first I was a little cautious, but now I'm completely amazed by how much this actually helps. I'd have to prescribe this to everyone who wants to compete at any level of powerlifting or just trying to up your poundage!

Pavel's products are excellent with one major cavaet. There is a lot of duplication between DVDs. I purchased Enter the Kettlebell and I would rate it as a 10. The first five minutes of Strength Stretching are covered in Enter the Kettlebell. After that I turned it off.

I bought this to compliment the Power to the People program. The drills described here are great for both getting you ready for the lifts as well as great tips to employ during the lifts themselves. As with all of Pavel's products, you get many times that what you pay for.
