10/10 A Kettle Bell Journey Has Begun...

By Dwaine Dailey / Fond Du Lac, United States

Derek did a great job. Derek not only instructed proper technique with kettle bells, but he was specific and thorough in how he explained the rationale that dictates the proper technique. I will be able to incorporate the kettle bell training, that I received from Derek, not only into my own workouts but also into the workouts of athletes that I coach.

10/10 Excellent Motivator, instructor and leader

By Duane Hart / Oshkosh, USA

Derek often teaches the classes I attend at TNT Fitness Results. His technical skills, motivational skills and positive attitude help beginners (like myself) and elite athletes alike. Derek is always quick to correct form to ensure that we receive the maximum workout and avoid injury. He has a unique ability to get the most out of us, even when we are in the midst of a grueling workout.

I have recommend his classes to friend and family and most recently my wife has joined me in the workouts. She speaks very highly of Derek and all TNT staff.

Top of the line instructor at a top of the line facility.

10/10 Derek Gives His All

By Ali Krueger / Campbellsport, United States

"Don't Give Up", "Set Goals", "You Can Do Anything for a Minute", "Legs Equal Results", "Sprint to the Finish Line". Those are just a few of the many encouraging statements Derek will say numerous times during a workout. Those are the lines I need to reach the goals I set. Derek gives his all to help his clients get to where they want to be. His support and encouragement is amazing. I would not be where I am today without Derek and TNT!!

10/10 Just getting started....

By Vicky Berg / St. Cloud, Wisconsin, USA

At the urging of a friend of mine, who has been involved with TNT for some time, I took an Essentials class and was certain that I would never get the hang of it because I am a little klutzy and lack coordination. Well, it has been almost two months, not sure of all the moves yet, but I have definitely felt some changes going on with my body and as hard as it may seem some days, I look forward to the next class. Derek certainly has a gift and I appreciate his skills and understanding when things don't always go my way. Motivation is something I need and he is the one that will give it to me. Thanks for your guidance and pointers at the end of class.

10/10 Changed my life

By Joe Schweda / Oshkosh, WI, USA

Derek introduced me to kettlebells over 2 1/2 years ago. He made working out tuff but fun. I love Derek's attitude, always upbeat. I've lost about 85 pounds with the help of Derek's training and advise. I continue to get stronger as I lose weight. I will continue to take opportunities to work out with Derek when I can. I can't thank Derek enough for what he has done for me.

10/10 Almost Year 3 Complete

By Dave Kusek / Fond du Lac, Wisc, USA

I started TNT almost 3 years ago in the old gym, looking for ways to transform my middle age body into something that would make me feel healthier, stronger, and provide me with more mobility, I found it with Derek's tutelage as I have lost 15 pounds, and am doing exercises that I have not done since high school. That is a long time ago since I am now 60. I also benefit from Derek's knowledge of nutrition that comes from his "Nutritional Tip of the Day", along with answering questions that I have had about the right foods to eat.
Thanks Derek, to you and your staff, for making me want to come and workout at TNT with the rest of the "family" of the 5:15 am class.

10/10 A+ MOTIVATOR

By Lynne Gibbons / Fond du Lan, WI

We are so fortunate to have Derek in the Fond du Lac area, I would never have changed my view of working out. I always wanted to workout, but found it very boring. That is no longer the case, I love to work out because of what Derek has brought to our area. Everyone says it is addicting working out at TNT!!! He compliments everyone in class and makes them feel very special and good about what they are doing. I have had this passion for working out going on two years now, it is not a phase. Thank you Derek!!!

10/10 Life Changer

By Jonathan Ehrhardt / Fond Du Lac, USA

Derek has truely changed my life. Two years ago when Ifirst walked through his doors, I'm sad to say I was getting my butt kicked with an 8kg bell. Know I warm up with a 24kg, and use the beast durring our workouts(48kg)! He has helped me loose over 50lbs. in four months I just got my HKC and am now on my way to help other poeple change there lives and the way they think about fittness. Derek Toshner Is not only a great instructor and leader, he's also a great person and friend. If you get the chance to work with him don't miss it! It may change your life.

10/10 TNT FITNESS

By Rich Dehnel / Fond du Lac, USA

I first came into contact with Derek late last winter at the MS Spin for Team Fond du Lac Cyclery at center court of the mall. He was there to put on a demo of Kettle Bells and some of us were asked to get off of our bikes to participate. Being the good sport and avid road biker, I ‘volunteered’ and entered into a realm that I was not prepared for. My first thoughts, was ‘holy cow’ who would ever want to do this? From what I remember, we were asked to do a ladder of swings to five and then back down – none of us could do it. After that experience, I told him that would look him up in the fall of that year.

Don’t get me wrong, spinning is a great way to build leg strength, endurance, and keep weight in check, not to mention be ready come spring when the ice is finally gone to return outside. It is obviously very leg intensive and the rest of your body does not get the work out like Derek’s instruction and programs do.

I kept to my word and looked him up in September and started with the essentials, along with a few friends and my wife, and then proceeded to the Incinerator level. This proved to be a challenge at first and my wife, oldest daughter, and still one friend at this level and the results are showing. As a group we put together a goal to be measured before Thanksgiving and the prize was a Dells trip for us and our kids. Within two months we had reached our goal and a trip is being planned. They are still in the incinerator level, because Derek is always challenging them and getting them to move up weights and have introduced to them, everyone’s favorites: lunge walks and split jumps.

A friend and I have moved onto the unleashed level of this program. This program has produced results in me that I never expected. My flexibility and increased dramatically, since my job entails me to set behind a desk most of the time. Up to now, I have lost three pant sizes, reduced overall fat level, and weight. I am currently fitting into sizes that I have not seen since college.

10/10 You get better with age?

By Bob Wojcik / Fond du Lac, USA

The above statement is true about fine wines and perhaps several things regarding human beings, but one thing that is not true is the human body's ability to get faster or stronger as our body ages. For several reasons, around the age of 50 we start to lose muscle mass and flexability which are important to these traits.

I found out later in life that I was a competitive multi sport age group athlete (read swim, bike, run). This year I turned 60 which mean the two traits I spoke of above have got a head start on me. In all the reading I've done on improving my performance the one thing that continues to come up is I need to work on off season strength training but more specifically workouts that use mulit joint movements, encourages flexability and increase balance and stability. I found out through further investigation that kettlebell workouts do all that plus provide an amazing aerobic benefit as well.

The staff at TNT has helped me greatly on working on my weaknesses, instructing me on proper form and pointing out all things that will improve my ability to swim, bike, and run with more power. The daily class schedule provides a variety of challenges to improve all parts of your lower body and are as hard or easy as you want them to be. I find the hours that they are open provide me with more opportunity to get my weekly kettlebell workouts in and still leave time for any swim, bike, or run training.

I am looking forward to my first race next season knowing that this preparation is going to improve my performance and equally important decrease the likelihood of overuse injuries so common in my sport. Total functional fitness is the only way to go and the staff at TNT have provided me with the tools I need to reach my goals.

10/10 Kettlebell Workouts Build Strength

By Evelyn Mclean-Cowan / Fond du Lac, WI, USA

I began attending TNT Fitness in May 2010. I wanted to become stronger and see if developing more core strength would help with my back problems which include a degenerating disk in the lumbar/SI area. I had been using machine wieghts and didnt feel that anything was changing. The first thing I noticed at the Essentials Class was that my left side was so weak I couldnt even do some of the exercises with a Kettlebell. I had a hard time doing a Turkish Get-Up on my left side just holding a tennis shoe.

The workouts are great. They are always challenging, and they are always different. Unlike other classes I have taken, Derek and Chad are very attentive and engaged with everyone. They will let someone know if their body position is wrong or if they need to do something differently. Safety is paramount. Derek adn Chad know anatomy and teach us about muscles as we are working out.

Derek also notices individuals' strenghts and weaknesses and has helped me with my weak left side issues. He has given me specific exercises for strength and flexability that are working better than physical therapy.

The nutrition tips and goals help everyone to focus on healthy lifestyle choices. There is a lot of encouragement. It is evident that Derek sincerely cares about every individual who comes to TNT Fitness.

As a triathlete, my swimming and biking are much stronger and running is less painful. Core strength has helped me to proform daily functions much better. It used to be painful to shift weight just going up stairs. Not anymore. And, I can do a Turkish Get Up with a 12 kg kettlebell on my right and left side!

10/10 Give it a try, you won't be sorry!

By Joanie Hammer / Fond du Lac, US

We were fortunate to have Derek Toshner visit our school all day for two days. He had an immediate impact on each class. Derek was articulate and a true teacher - saavy in teaching proper form and technique. His energy was contagious as he was able to grasp and hold the attention of a gym filled with 50 middle school students each hour. Derek seems to have been born to train, as it was evident that he was a natural at differentiating his approach geared toward younger people. Students loved his presentation, plus had a unique and challenging workout!

Personally, as a former collegiate athlete, I am constantly looking for new workout ideas - I think that Derek's methods and principles are fascinating. The concept of moving away from bulky, isolation exercises to performing "real-life" actions that target my entire body with each movement is extremely appealing. His training sessions are not just strengthening, but involve cardio as well - perfect for a person with a busy schedule. I look forward to becoming more active at TNT Fitness Results and getting in the best shape of my life!

10/10 Excellent instructor, excellent man.

By Matt Mitchell / Rockwall, TX, USA

I was fortunate to work with Derek at RKC Chicago in September of 2011 when he served as one of my team assistants (Team Newton). During this most challenging of weekends, I came to trust Derek as a source of knowledge, experience, and inspiration. At one point during the certification, I expressed to him my apprehension about the upcoming snatch test. In return, I received a reassuring "It's OK--I can help you with that" from him. Now to some, that may seem insignificant and arbitrary, but the effect Derek's words had on me were monumental. He had been through the certification, he knew what it would take for me to make it, and he understood my apprehension. Derek took time during the snatch training session on Saturday to work with me and made sure my technique was spot-on. Had it not been for him checking my technique with such diligence, I would have never passed the 100 repetition portion of the test (which did not happen until November, as I had much work to do). I am eternally grateful to Derek for the personal attention he showed me during the RKC. If he can do that for me, he can, and certainly will, do that for you.

10/10 Fantastic!

By Keira Newton / Santa Fe, USA

I had the privilege of teaching with Derek at an RKC instructor coarse. He is knowledgeable, fun, and engaging. He really understands the key principles of RKC kettlebell, and has a fantastic way of teaching it.

I highly recommend this trainer!

10/10 Never in a Million Year Continued....

By Ali Krueger / Campbellsport

TNT gave me the confidence and endurance I needed to complete this 5K. Derek and his staff at TNT have been a god send to myself and my family. If you can do a workout at TNT, you can do anthing. Derek, Chad and Melissa teach, not only how to do a great workout, but also how to be fit and healthy. They teach, encourage, and push you to go to the next level. The "family' I made at TNT is also encouraging. Everyone is there for the same reason....to be fit and healthy. If you are struggling, there will always be another member there to get you through. The Commit2Fit challenge is just what my family needed. We learned life habits that we will use the rest of our lives. And we all shed a few pounds too. I cannot say enough about TNT. TNT gave me, my husband, and my 11 year old daughter the confidence, encouragement and endurance we need to do just about anything. Thank you TNT!!!

10/10 Never in a Million Years....

Did I ever think I would be doing the things I am doing at TNT. I just RAN in my first 5K ever. Did it in 30:27 without stopping

10/10 Better nutrition Better energy!

By Michelle Burton / Appleton WI

"The Boot Camp was very exhilarating. I knew for a while I needed to get more motivated. It has definitely done that for me! The exercises are not hard and you do not have to do anything that you cannot do. Derek, our trainer, had alternate moves if someone had limitations of any kind. I find that I have more energy in the morning when I get up and it lasts all day long. The nutritional tidbits of information I found to be very useful as well. Besides the increase in energy, I have had a loss of weight and inches. I know this because my clothes are definitely fitting me a whole lot differently and all for the better.. I find that I am more confident and very proud of my accomplishment. I had great results in just 4 weeks."

10/10 A boot in the butt!

By Sally Dickinson / Appleton WI

"I initiallyh signed up for Boot Camp because I needed a "Boot" in the Butt to get me motivated again. Boot Camp has done that for me and so much more. After just the first week I felt my energy level rise. Derek nutritional tiips have helped me make better food choices as well. Four weeks of Boot Camp

10/10 Derek pushes without being pushy.

By Leanne Wilson / Appleton WI

"I can't say enough positive things about bootcamp! When I first organized the program, I really wasn't sure what to expect, how I would actually like it and whether I was capable of keeping up with the exercises. Not only has this been the best exercise program that has happened to me, but it has also changed my attitude about exercise all together. I love it! The most significantly thing I noticed-and after just the first two weeks, was my flexibility has improved significantly. Not only that, but I had been to physical therapy for some pain that was running down the back of my leg. No one could seem to identify how and why I had this problem, but ultimately it was diagnosed as "nerve damage". Since I started bootcamp, I have noticed that I no longer have the pain. Derek is a fantrastic trainer who pushes us to our fullest potential without being "pushy". If you want to exercise, and need a challenge, you should consider TNT. You won't be disappointed.

10/10 Low tech high fun!

By Jamie Sova / Appleton WI

"I have really enjoyed bootcamp! It has been the most fun I have had exercising in a long time. Kerek is a great trainer who really knows how to put together a program that can be done by everyone, that doesn't involve a bunch of equipment and can be modified to fit any injuries you have. All you really need is a mat, a set of hand weights and a good attitude! Bootcamp has worked on our flexibility, our strength and our endurance. (I ran a mile for the first time in many years! For some of you this may no be a big deal, but to those nmon-runners like me...a very big deal!) Bootcamp has changed my body. I joined bootcamp, not to lose weight, but to see how hard I could push myself. Derek pushed each of us to our limits, while making it fun at the same time. It has taught me a number of things about myuself and about my body in general. It also taught me just how many squats you can do in an hour and how many kinds there are...!

10/10 Derek Toshner

By Amy Puls / Fond du lac, WI

Derek is an excellent inspuration to stay healthy and physically fit. He encourages his clients to push themselves to the next level and rewards with further encouragement.

10/10 Amazing workout-more like personal training!

By Diane / Fond du Lac, WI.

I have always "dabbled" in exercising and physical fitness throughout my 5 decades of life. Nothing like aging and weight gain to make one really look at changing things up. I had been hearing about TNT Fitness for about a year before I started. After one Essentials class and a week of Incinerator classes I could see and feel the difference! Derek is amazing at making sure that everyone in the class is getting the attention that they need. I felt like I was personal training rather than at a class. That did not even include the always positive attitude and nutritional tips at every workout! I have more energy now than I ever did, and know that I am stronger than I have ever been.
Derek has an amazing ability to bring the absolute best out in everyone. We need more Derek Toshner's in the world!
The statement. "Our warmup is their workout" is absolutely spot on! Every workout is fun and different and you get results!!
Thank you Derek for all you do.

10/10 You Can Do Anything For A Minute!!

By Marisa / Fond du Lac

I have been a member of TNT for 2 years. TNT is so different then any gym I have been a part of. Derek is an amazing trainer with unending drive and continues to motivate me day after day. Derek has helped me through some pretty hard times in my life without even realizing it. The "family" atmosphere at TNT is addicting and it's a place to go to forget all your worries and leave with a new and positive attitude about life.
I love how Derek can motivate and push me to do more then I think I can do. I never thought my body would be capable of working out this hard! I am truly blessed to have Derek as my trainer/motivator, he is one in a million!!

10/10 If You Don't Think You Can Do It, Here You Can

By S. Clark / Theresa, WI

As a young, single woman, I was pretty active. I did body conditioning, aerobics, jogging, belonged to various health clubs and was pretty fit. But life changed after getting married and having two children. The focus was no longer just on me and the motivation and time for exercise fell by the wayside.

After a decade of inactivity, I was introduced to Derek and TNT through my work in June of 2010. The workouts were different than anything I had done. I felt stronger, doing kettlebells, faster than with any other form of exercise I had ever done.

While Derek is an excellent, knowledgeable trainer, he is more than that. He is a motivator, a mentor, a nutrition consultant and a counselor. He will help you with your diet, he will help you with discipline and keep you focused, and he will listen. He really has his clients' best interest at heart.

So now, after six months of working out 3-4 days a week, I am down 3 sizes and weigh less than I did before I became pregnant with my first child. I have muscle tone, my stomach is flat and I am in better shape now than I was at 25.

I really never thought I would lose that baby weight or be fit again. Being over 40, I didn't think it was possible. But I found it with Derek and TNT. You can, too.

10/10 Results!!!

By Rick Schmidt / Fond du Lac, Wi USA

I've had trainers before who were good and helpful but Derek has absolutely taken my training and nutrition to a whole new level. I lost over 30 pounds of fat, started doing snatches with a 16kg. kettlebell and increased it to a 24kg. for most repetitions and my snatches went from 127 in 5 minutes with a 24kg. to 140 in 5 minutes, and he helped me take my deadlift weight from 185 to 340lbs. in about 8 months, and that was after having 5 hernias. My body has never looked better and I have never felt better. We work out in classes and people help everybody and Derek always helps us to maintain good form so we don't get injured. I'm always inspired to do even better and find a new level of fitness. I don't think I've done the exact same workout twice and that keeps things fresh and even fun. I look forward to classes and the challenges and fun times that await. I also love the nutrition tips and information regarding eating habits. I would highly recommend Derek as a great trainer, great person, and an inspiration to everybody he meets.

10/10 The most effective and addictive workout ever!!

By Lynne Gibbons / Fond du Lac WI

I use to go to a regular gym where I have a free membership through my job and at best I would make it there twice a week. I was not in the best of shape when I started Kettlebell classes with Derek about 5 months ago, but I knew I had to do something because of weight gain and lack of energy.

Working out with Derek and the Kettlebell classes have changed everything. Not only have I lost 10 pounds and inches, my energy is unbelieveable, my confidence level has soared because I am doing something I never thought I was capable of doing. People who know me have noticed these wonderful improvements.

I really want to thank Derek for his great support and for being there for everyone!! Thank you, thank you.

10/10 Extremely Positive Motivator

By Pat McClone / Fond du Lac, WI USA

I have tried many different work out routines but all of them required me to push myself with no encouragement from anyone else.

I have been in TNT classes now with Derek for almost a year and I have lost almost 20lbs! My endurance and strength has also vastly improved.

The best part of the class is Derek's positive motivation and enthusiasm. He urges us to reach a level we never thought we could obtain. His sense of humor makes classes fun and every class is different. I have never gone to a class and done the same routine which is AWESOME!!!

10/10 Thought I was in good shape....

By April / Mount Calvary, WI

until I found TNT. New to working from home, I needed to find a new place to workout. That is when I was introduced to TNT...and my life was about to change.
I thought the body I had was as good as I was going to get. Boy was I wrong! In a very short amount of time, my body has shaped up and toned in places I didn't think possible! He has shown me a new level of fitness - pushing you because he knows your capable of it. Having him there to push me, is what works for me. It's what has helped me see results. I have had many compliments from friends and family on the transformation of my body. It's amazing and helps keep me motivated on going back.
He keeps classes new and exciting. He also has a GREAT sense of humor, making you laugh while you may feel like dying! :)
He includes not just adults, but kids as well. Having 3 kids, it's a joy to be able to workout together as a family. After class, we go home and discuss the workout we just did. (wondering if we'll be sore the next morning!) Hearing the kids talk about the workout, smiling and laughing, has been one of the greatest joys.
This has also given the hubby and I one more thing we're able to do together.
Thank you Derek - looking forward to many more years with you!

10/10 INTENSE

By Tess Clinton / Fond du Lac, WI

I had been running and cross training for many years and was frustrated on not getting the results that I was looking for. Then I found Derek Toshner @ TNT Fitness. I have been working with Derek for close to a year now and have seen huge gains in not only running performance but overall strength as well. Not only does Derek make every class fun he really pushes you outside your comfort zone to do and be your very best. Derek is a very knowledgeable instructor who practices what he preaches from proper nutrition to kettlebells to athletic performance. He is truly an inspiration & I look forward to working with Derek for many years to come.

10/10 Never felt better

By Megan / Fond du Lac, WI

I started going to TNT after I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease at 26, and my doctor stressed that I needed to find a low-impact workout to strengthen my core. I've been working out with Derek for about 6 months now, and I've never looked or felt better in my entire life!

I was pretty intimidated by TNT at first as a non-athlete - everyone seemed to be in peak physical condition, and I was sweating after our 10 minute warm up. But Derek and Chad could not be nicer or more supportive. You can tell Derek genuinely cares about our health and how his clients feel, both physically and comfort-wise while working out. At the same time, he seems to know when I could be pushing myself harder and his encouragement has made me more aware of my own abilities. He is also great at keeping the workouts interesting. I have become stronger and more confident since working out at TNT, and I owe it all to Derek! He helped me realize that I'm stronger than I ever gave myself credit for, and he is still pushing me harder! Thank you, Derek, for bringing kettlebells to Fondy!

10/10 Revitalized at 58

By Dave Kusek / Fond du Lac, Wis

TNT Fond du Lac, under the leadership of Derek Toshner, has provided me with an improved physical, as well as mental, attitude as I get closer to decade #6. I was looking for a program to lose weight and regain my flexibility for a person who has always been active, but yet had been losing these two battles over time.
Derek provides me with the necessary guidance to be sure my workouts are done correctly, while challenging me to push myself to hit the goals I have been looking to achieve. After a year under his instruction, I feel better physically having lost 15 pounds, and reduced both my shirt and pants sizes. And my suits now fit perfectly!
Derek's passion to push me to improve my flexibility, (somehow at 5:30am), has allowed me to rid myself of the aches & pains I had experienced, and I can now look aging in the eye and say "No way". While I am not quite a contortionist, I am bending my body like I never thought was possible.
I respect Derek for his passion, belief and dedication to his work, and firmly believe that this makes a difference in the results the people in his classes achieve.

10/10 What TNT has done for me........

By Bonnie McMullen / Adell, WI

In November of 2009 I was fortunate to have a riding lesson with an Olympian. During my lesson I was told....Bonnie you have all the pieces to the puzzle, but you have no core strength....I pondered this for a few weeks. In December of 2009, Derek provided a demonstration at my place of employment; well....I was a wet noodle after a 30 minute kettle bell work out, once again I pondered what to do about my poor physical condition. By the end of the month, I came into TNT Fitness to have Derek evaluate my condition prior to starting kettle bell classes. In July of 2010, I earned a score of 61.8% in a First Level, Test 1 Dressage test at a show in Green Bay, WI. We came home with our first blue ribbon, in four years of training with my horse. I would never have obtained this goal without the overall training with TNT Fitness. Thank you Derek and Chad :)

10/10 True Professional

By Robert / Chicago, IL

It is always a bit humbling to work with a true master of the art of kettlebell lifting like Derek but it is also extremely motivating. Derek is both diligent and effective at teaching the subtle and nuanced aspects of kettlebell training. I am actually from Chicago but every time I come up to Fond Du Lac I make it a point to plan my trip so that I can get to a class with Derek.

9/10 Motivated and Very Professional

By Jordan Paul / Fond du Lac, WI

Derek is very enthusiastic about what he does. His high energy is contagious. Derek is strict about proper form without being overbearing. He gets you to push yourself to new levels without yelling or screaming. He clearly enjoys the work he does and keeps workouts interesting by adding new elements frequently.

Regardless of your fitness level or fitness goals working with Derek will allow you to achieve all of your goals, and will have you plotting out new goals in no time at all.

10/10 New Kind of Work Out

By Dayton Hanson / Appleton,WI USA

Great instructor taught us a lot of lifts in a short time. Great teacher realy easy to understand what hes trying to get acrossed. He gets you exited about advancing in kettle bell training.

10/10 Fantastic Experience!!

By Tom Schultz - Head Boys Track Coach / Appleton, Wisconsin

WOW! Completely blown away with Derek's enthusiasm/knowledge as RKC Instructor. We were fortunate to have Derek included as Instructor this past weekend. I could see the passion Derek exuded with his instruction in the use of kettle bells. One could definitely see a connection between him and the athletes he was instructing. His knowledge of the lifts was also evident by the extra drills he incorporated into each of the lifts and how they would help with different sports. We can't wait to have him back in summer for a review and to learn more from him. He is definitely an up and comer in the world of fitness/athletic/kettle bell training.

Thanks Derek!! ( can't wait to implement drills during track season)

10/10 Unbelievable at what he does

By Mark / Appleton WI

When he came to our school and showed us some of the things he could do, I was shocked. I thought there was now way I could do that stuff. He taught things at a great pace for everyone and explained things great. I would definitley recommend him

10/10 never had a better workout

By Kyle Deering / Appleton WI

We had him come into are school and teach are football team how to do the kettle bells. He made it fun for all the people there and the three hours felt like one. He can come again when ever he wants.

10/10 Thank you for making me believe in myself again

By Amanda Donath / Madison, WI USA

I came to Derek over the summer with very little self confidence in myself as an athlete and as an individual.

To make a long story short, Derek had coached me at UW-Oshkosh and helped me become a 7 time All-American, national champion and national record holder at 400m. The next step for me seemed to go to a bigger school with more competition. I transferred to UW-Madison in the fall of 2007. Things did not go how I planned. I ruptured my plantar fascia, had surgery on my foot, and could not run for about 11mo. I was forced to red shirt the season. The following track season in 2009 did not go well either. More injuiries came, and my confidence as an athlete and as individual were very low. I thought that maybe it was time for me to quit track all together. I was so ashamed. Derek suggested I try kettlebells. I thought to myself "this is my last shot, why not".

When I stepped into TNT this summer, Derek would not allow me to think negatively about myself. He would tell me "We are going to get you running 53s next season". The workouts were hard, but Derek always made me push beyond what I thought I could do. He would scream at me "this is the last 100m of the 400", which would always make me work harder. My confidence slowly started to come back. I started to believe again. My body started to change as well. I got into awesome shape. My teammates and coaches noticed a huge difference in body when I arrived back at school this past fall.

I just had my first track meet of the season this past weekend. I'm finally running like a "national champ" again. My coach at UW says I am in the hunt for a Big Ten title in the 600m. I wasn't sure I would be able to get to this high level of competition again, Derek made me believe. I expect great things to come this season. Words cannot express how thankful I am for you helping me not once, but twice to becoming a great athlete. So, for lack of better words, THANK YOU DEREK and family from the bottom of my heart.

10/10 Helping a High School Football Program Learn Bells

By Head Coach Pat Schwanke / Appleton, Wisconsin

Coach Toshner led the Appleton East Football Program in an introduction to Kettle Bells this past weekend. What a great experience for all involved.

The biggest compliment I can pay him is that we are most definetely going to have him back very soon for another clinic. He worked us, taught us, and improved us. It was great weekend.

Thanks Coach Toshner ... we will be in touch soon.

10/10 Lifestyle Change

By Adam Lamonska / Oakfield, WI

Nearly one year ago I joined TNT Fitness Results. The first day I walked in to Derek's gym I found myself pushing my body to new limits, and it was that day I knew I had to be apart of Derek's gym. Through the months that I have been at TNT I have accumulated better strength and health along with better definition of my body and the decrease in body fat. Not only has Derek taught me how to kettle bell, but he has also taught me how to live a better life. I am more carful about what I eat, and I have gained more energy along with a decrease in stress. I have found that being at his gym with many new people and such a great environment has caused me to relive stress that I often just used as an excuse to do nothing. Derek has motivated me through this lifestyle change and has been right next to me the whole time. If I don't get a workout he explains it, if I don't show up he calls me, and if I just don't feel like I can go any farther he lets me know I can and does not let the dream of being fit go down the drain.

He's the greatest trainer alive!!!!
Thanks for everything Derek

10/10 Motivated after all these years!

By Sarah Endres / Fond du Lac, WI

I have been coming to TNT for a little over a month , and have to say , the kettlebell classes really do give other exercise classes a run for their money! I love how we do something different each class, and how Derek really knows how to motivate. Coming to TNT for an hour to do something that makes me feel good....(and sore)is not always the highlight of my day ,but it certainly gives me a sense of accomplishment and sets the tone for the day. Thank you, Derek for a job well done!!

10/10 Results are Limitless

By Laurie Quackenboss / Fond du Lac, WI

I'll be honest that I thought TNT Fitness Results would be a short gig for me, but I was hooked. I did the treadmill and exercise bike and the videos through the years and really never stuck with one particular thing to keep in shape. I have a desk job, so it's important for me to stay fit.

I was the typical "jock" in high school and was very fit for volleyball, hurdling, running, and the shot put. I loved the weight room for my shot put training. Now doing what I do with kettlebells, it all makes sense why I liked it so much. I continued to play volleyball and softball after I married and moved to Fond du Lac, and one by one my body parts started to fail me. After a back surgery and two knee surgeries, I stopped playing softball, and slowed down on volleyball to eventually stopping that as well.

Having my fifth child at a later age of 44 really took a toll on my body. Something strange happened after I delivered which made my whole body hurt like fibromyalgia. After 2 years of doctoring the pain and medications I finally started to feel better as suddenly as I started to hurt. At about the same time I found out about Derek and Brandon and TNT Fitness Results. What could I lose but staying pain free, no more doctors or medicine?

Now, eight months later from starting at TNT, at 47, I feel absolutely great! I've toned my body and built muscle and have definition in my arms and legs, and even back in my abs, that I've never seen before. It's very flattering that people notice and tell me how good I'm looking, and can't believe I'm 47 with my oldest daughter being 24. I have more energy, which I need desperately, for my three old (my other trainer). He keeps me hopping and I need to stay healthy for him and the rest of my family as well as myself.

I look so forward to going to class, nothing of which I had felt in a long time. Derek is a very educated and dedicated trainer/instructor with his knowledge and encouragement and motivation. He really gets to know his clients inside and out. He keeps me in line and tells me that I can when I think I can't. He doesn't let me cheat myself. Each class is so different and challenging because he works the whole body, not just one area. That is so important, thus my results, so far. His nutrition knowledge is so helpful as well. I eat so much better and 10 pounds have dropped and one pants size. Derek is very proffessional and very passionate about his career. He leads by example and wants the best for everyone that they can be. I really wouldn't be where I am today without him and those attributes about him.

I am very fortunate to have become a part of kettlebells and TNT Fitness Results, and have made new friends along the way. Oh, and ladies, that little black dress that I bought this last summer doesn't only look good on the hanger..... it looks good on me now too! If that isn't an invitation to come and try TNT, I don't know what is.

9/10 Excellent Instructor and Motivator

By Alecia / Oshkosh, WI

Derek holds his classes with a completely professional and welcoming attitude. He remembers your name, your goals and the last time you were at class. As an instructor he is always pushing students to the next level of fitness and very motivating throughout classes. After training with KB videos for several months, I found a live class and have only good things to say about it. My form has improved as well as my level of strength and confidence with the kettlebell. I notice as much (probably more) definition training with KB versus free weights (except it takes less time). I am challenged every day I step into class, with new moves, an improvement in my technique, and a completely different workout each day. I highly recommend this instructor for all levels of fitness and familiarity with kettlebells.

10/10 The Fountain of Youth

By David Dallapiazza / Brownsville, WI

After turning forty, I had finally found the ambition to exercise. Unfortunately, my joints didn't want anything to do with it. Whatever I seemed to try, weight lifting, running, aerobics, etc. after an initial period of improvement, I inevitably would hurt one or more of my joints. Working out soon became limited by how much pain I could tolerate and not by my strength or endurance. No matter how much I wanted to, I could not work out hard enough to stay fit. For the first time in my life my stomach looked like cottage cheese. My strength and abilities were actually deteriorating. How bad was I going to feel when I turn fifty. All I could think about was what I can't do anymore. How depressing. Lucky for me my story doesn't end this way.

My first day at TNT Fitness was definitely a new experience. Instead of being pointed at some impersonal machines and saying have fun, I walked into an open room and there was Derek Toshner and some funny lumps of metal. He immediately started explaining the benefits of Kettle Bell training, his passion to help people become fit, and about setting and accomplishing your goals. Pretty cool so far. Then came the work out. I was a little embarrassed at first swinging a metal ball around like a grumpy old lady and her hand bag and then doing a Turkey Get Me Up thing a ma bobs. But after only a half an hour, all the little muscles that have been napping for the last fifteen years were screaming were alive! I then participated in Derek's attempt to accomplish one of his goals of beating a national snatch record. Finally, I tagged along on a What's Healthy To Eat At The Grocery Store Field Trip. Quite an impressive introduction to TNT Fitness.

The following week I jumped right into a regular a regular work out schedule. Derek kept me motivated and always new when to push me harder. Instead of stopping and going home when I felt tired, I stopped when we reached our goals. After about two months I was looking and feeling pretty darn good. I was making it through all the work outs, my muscle tone looked good, and I didn't need two days and some ibuprofen to recover from every work out. It wasn't easy and I am certainly not twenty anymore, but I am using the body I have to the best of its ability. This would be a good ending, but it gets even better.

Since I was feeling so good and not as worried about injury. Derek helped me take my fitness level beyond just a routine. I started working out every day and going to harder classes. Now Derek's athletic and educational back ground really started to shine. If you want to become an athlete Derek has what it takes. He has the exercise regiments, motivation, and nutritional knowledge to take you to the top level. In a short amount time I am lifting, squatting, and throwing more weight then I ever thought possible, Instead of just doing some regular push ups I can do them one arm, I can do one legged pistol squats, Pull ups with 24kg hanging from my waist. I can, I can, I can. I couldn't do this when I was twenty, never. And just for fun I competed in The 2009 Tactical Strength Challenge Contest. A couple of people have asked me what I am training for, all I can say is I am just having fun getting better.

Over the next two month my body literally changed before my eyes. Any fat I did have burned off of me like butter in a hot skillet. My physique is the best its ever been in my life. It's like I am the actor in a bad commercial for a five minute a day body blaster. It's all I can do to keep my wife's nails off of what she calls my eight or ten pack(The numbers different every time). Not bad for my FIRST FOUR month's at TNT Fitness, and all with a room, a Derek, and some funny looking lumps of metal.

10/10 Indomitable Spirit

By Coleen Feucht / Fond du Lac, WI USA

My 5 year old son is an orange belt in Ty Kwon Do. I use one of his terms to describe my experience at TNT Fitness. According to my son, Indomitable Spirit means "The fire inside you that makes you good." I started at TNT at the end of July 2009. I am a relative "Newby" at Kettlebells, yet feel compelled to write this review for Derek.

Today was my daughter's first day at gymnastics, she is 17 months old. After a half hour of chasing my cutie pie around the gym, I loaded my kids in the car and took my son to Flag Football. I previously mentioned my son also takes Ty Kwon do (3 days a week). As a busy mom, I hardly have time to think about myself. In my earlier life, before kids and a husband, I was passionate about gymnastics and dance. I was captain of my dance teams in both high school and college. In college we took a 1st two years in a row at the Midwest Continent Conference for small schools. After college I taught dance to grade school kids. At the age of 25 while identifying migratory birds in Door County for my Master's Thesis for a degree in Environmental Science (emphasis in Biology) I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. I now have no thyroid and issues maintaining blood calcium. I became afraid to push myself too far physically. I gave up a lot of physical activities, including dance.

I came to TNT to "Get fit." But what I found was more than that. Derek has magically transformed his students into TNT Kettlebell addicts. Yes, newbie that I am, I am an addict too! I am addicted to the new found strength and stamina my body has. I am addicted to the praise friends, family and even relative strangers give me on my appearance. I am becoming an addict at eating healthier. Most of all, I am addicted to the indomitable spirit that Derek has shared with each of his students. I feel good. It is good to be around others with this spirit.

Thank you Derek!!!

10/10 GO BEYOND YOUR GOALS WITH TNT

By Sandy Schneider / Saint Cloud, WI

I joined TNT in January 2009. First I was skeptical about joining TNT because of the monthly cost and in the past I joined 24 hour exercise clubs and even paid for a personal trainer and I never got the results that I was seeking or the encouragement to keep up the program or to go beyond my comfort zone. Some other concerns I had was could I do Kettlebells with the physical problems that I have which are: I had a disc taken out of my lower back, had my shoulder dislocated at work and I have arthritis in both my knees. So I sat down with Derek on a 1-on-1 session and we discussed my concerns and physical problems and after that meeting I decided to give it a try. Well it is now September and I am up to coming 4 times a week! Plus I have lost 28lbs. and a total of 23 1/4" off my body!! I am more fit at the age of 44 than I was when I was in my 20's!

My main goals when I first started was to lose weight, build total body strength and increase my endurance. With my profession being a Correctional Officer, I wanted to be able to go to work and feel I could protect myself and others if the need ever arises. I can honestly say that I have reached my goals and feel now that I will exceed them!

Derek is an all around outstanding person. He doesn't just teach the class, he encourages everyone to go above and beyond their own comfort zone and to do things they never thought that they could. If you have any concerns or questions, Derek is there for you. With me having all the aches and pains with my body, Derek was always right there to help me work through them. If there was something in the routine that I could not physically do Derek would show me a different way to do it. I now can do some of those things in the routine that I could not do in the past and my aches and pains have decreased quite a bit.

Derek is also very adamant that exercise alone is not enough to improve ones health, but consuming the correct foods is highly important. He is not one that just preaches what he teaches, but he lives the lifestyle which encourages you to do the same. I can honestly say that this is the healthiest I have been in my life. Derek had me do a PHJ, Pie-Hole Journal, and I did it for a full month. Derek looked over my PHJ and pointed out how I can improve some things and complimented me on some others. It has been quite an eye opener and just changing a few things in my diet has actually improved my health. Doing a PHJ is also important for someone because it makes you think twice before putting something in your Pie-Hole(mouth).

I want to challenge anyone who reads this that if they want to become all around healthier to come and try out TNT and to become all they can be or become someone they wish they could be! I am telling you that Derek is the trainer for you!

10/10 OVER THE TOP

By Tim Corbett / Fond du Lac, WI USA

I have been working out most of my adult life and thought I was in pretty good shape-- until I picked up a kettlebell!! Training in the functional movements and intense core work at TNT with Derek has made me far stronger and agile than I have ever been.
His ability to modivate the class and be able to watch everyone in the class for proper technique is amazing.
I get far more out of a workout with Derek pushing me than I ever could working out on my own. Just wish I knew about this in my 20's!

10/10 Attention Recreational Athletes!

By Jeremy Halfmann / Butte des Morts, WI

I consider myself a recreational athlete... and kettlebell training with Derek has improved my performance significantly and made these activities much more enjoyable. I've been training at TNT Fitness Results for about 9 months now and couldn't be more satisfied with the time, money, and effort spent.

I first came to the gym mostly just to see the place and see what it was all about. I knew Derek as a friend who played on my softball team and knew how dedicated an athlete/fitness nut he was. I didn't have any real intentions to join since I figured that I was "too busy" to workout on a regular, structured basis. Boy was I wrong, and was sold after the first Beginners (or Essentials) class. The first few weeks were, honestly, hellish as I was getting started with 2-3 classes a week. Quickly though, I was in much better shape and able to recover quickly enough that I was doing 5-6 sessions a week. I'm a big fan of the 1/4hr lunch session, as well, as they break up my desk jockey job quite well.

I was able to cut-off about 10lbs, move my batting average from bottom of the team to the top, increase my throw strength, get-up on a slalom waterski my very first try, and increase my daily energy all as a direct result of working with Derek.

Derek's TNT kettlebell workouts are fun, incredibly efficient, and so very effective. It is far easier to stay dedicated to a couple of regular scheduled workouts a week that push you to your limits and show definite results than it is to get up the motivation to go to a traditional gym and spend more time with less results.

10/10 Leading By Example

By Henry Guell / Eden WI

Training with Derek has been an experience unlike anything I can imagine. I never had much of a work ethic. I would go into the weight room at school and fool around just as much as i lifted... sometimes more. But when I came to train with Derek, I saw how fit he was and how he went about doing things. He never does anything half way, its all or nothing. That type of attitude inspired me. I started working harder, trying to emulate Derek, which is probably the most exhasuting thing I've ever done! But not only has he tought and showed me to be a better athlete, he has also showed me how to be a great person. Derek is the most genuine person you'll ever meet and he is a true friend who is as commited to the people he meets as he is to the Kettle Bells he makes them lift :) thanks Derek!

10/10 Results and More

By Henry Guell / Eden, WI

My experience with Derek has been unlike anything I could imagine. Ever since i started training with Derek, he has continued to push me and help me acheive my goals as an athlete, as well as pass on to me life lessons and advice on how to succeed. Whenever I wanted to quit, even if i would never say it, Derek would constantly remind me and the other members of the gym to keep going. He not only leads with words, but most importantly, by example. He has goals that he sets for himself, and he doesnt stop until he acheives them. As a member of the gym and an admirer of his, this characteristic is inspiring and drives me to keep being the best I can be, as an athlete and a person. Thanks Derek!

9/10 33lbs and counting!

By JD / Oshkosh, WI

Coming up to the 1 year anniversary of TNT Fitness Results and to date I have lost 33lbs and thoroughly enjoy classes. . . . ok, I enjoy the results of improved health and fitness. Derek works to keep modifying routines and adapts the class to the particular needs and goals of his students. I rate Derek a 9 out of 10 because nobody is perfect but, he is awfully close. My goal has changed from weight loss to health maintainance and body fat reduction.
Thanks Derek!

10/10 TNT = TRUE PHYSICAL FITNESS

By Melissa A. Schmidt / Fond du Lac, WI

I began at TNT in February 2009. I was a sporadic exerciser, at best, until I found TNT. I was pretty bored with the traditional running and elliptical machines and knew I had to mix it up to stay interested. I was an Division I athlete in college at UW Madison as a rower in the top women's varsity 8 boat--and very competitive back then--but that was 15 years ago. I had found nothing to date that kept my interest like rowing did in college, until I met Derek Toshner and my new friend, the kettlebell.
Kettlebells have become something I completely believe in. The motion of the swing is very familiar to me as a former rower (except you're standing instead of sitting). The momentum, range of motion, and strength required all mean that you are maximizing your time in a very efficient workout that means fast, noticeable results. I have lost over 10# since starting with kettlebells and gained a great deal of endurance and strength. My overall body fat has decreased and I have lost 2 pant sizes. The other day I swung a 16 kg kettlebell 100x and I'm a 37 year old woman. I can't even believe it.
But I give credit where credit is due. I show up, but Derek keeps the classes interesting. I have never done the same workout twice. Some weeks I attend 5x/week, and he still manages to mix it up. When I was frustrated with my weight, Derek offered sound advice that I took and used, and it worked. I dropped the weight easily. He will call you if he hasn't seen you in a while. He is always motivational and positive. I have yet to see him have a bad day.
My hope is that more and more people discover the benefit of TNT Fitness Results and kettlebells to become as fit as they can be and change their body composition and their health. I know if they just come to Essentials Class and once or twice again, they will see clearly the potential kettlebells has to change their life and their health and overall fitness for the better.

10/10 final piece of the puzzle, mission accomplished!

By Jim Guell / Eden, WI

My son's shot and discus season ended in the winning of 2 gold medals at the Wisconsin State Track and Field Championships at UW La Crosse June 5&6. He had a personal record of 175' 5" in the discus for the season. A 31 foot increase from last years p.r. He also had a p.r. of 54'5 1/2" in the shot put. A 5 foot increase from last years p.r. These are stunning increases in distance that I can only attribute to his 6 months of training with Derek. Not only did Derek end Henry's training precisely at the right number of days prior to the meet in order for him to be fully recovered but he also traveled to La Crosse to coach him at the meet. The climax of his effort being on Saturday during the shot put event. Saturday was cold and it was pouring rain during the entire event. Derek called me on Friday night at our hotel and proposed the idea of putting Henry through a special mini kettle bell workout right before he threw, in order to get his muscles firing and have him primed for the shot competition. I can only say that it worked perfectly. Henry was primed for the event while the other throwers were tight and stiff. Derek also suggested that Henry go across the street and keep warm inside the campus building and stay loose in there rather than wearing himself out by throwing endless practice throws like all but one of the other throwers did out in the cold and wet. To sum it up Henry would not be a double state champion without the expertise of Derek Toshner. To have an instuctor of such talent in our town is truly a blessing. No other trainer would travel 3 1/2 hours to help his athlete compete. Let alone carry a 24 kilogram kettle bell through the stadium for Henry to use. With his 2 year old daughter in the other arm. Athletes, kettle bell works! And if you are lucky enough to be trained by Derek, you will achieve your goal. My son has the gold medals to prove it.

10/10 Biggest stud ever!!!

By A.J. Rixen / Oakfield, WI

If your looking for one of the most dedicated and down to earth trainers in wisconsin, then Derek Toshner is by FAR the best choice. He is not only the nicest person i've ever met but he is the kind of person that when a client of his misses a day he's on the phone helping you every step of the way! He's definitely there for you when you think that you can't go anymore! With Derek as my trainer i've lost about 30 pounds and increased my health a million times!!! All i can say is that if your looking for one of the best trainers and workouts you've ever put yourself through then Derek is the man you need!!!

10/10 Nothing but Compliments

By Kelly Kleine / Fond du Lac, WI

I have been working out at Derek's studio for the past six months, and I have nothing but compliments for him. It is obvious from the first session that Derek is one of the fittest trainers in the area: he lives the lifestyle that he promotes, he models by setting and reaching fitness goals for himself, and he is up to date on the newest training techniques.

Those who don't know Derek might see his achievements and fitness level to be intimidating, but he is anything but. He is truly dedicated to helping people see results. He tunes in to each member's personality, finding the right words for each individual to ensure they don't check out early. He is constructive and optimistic, his workouts are carefully planned, and he is able to clearly relate the theory behind each exercise.

I have joined countless "regular" gyms in the past, quitting after a few months of being ignored or not seeing results. Derek's training style doesn't even let the thought of quitting cross your mind. His expertise and character make one a kettlebell addict.

10/10 Intangible Aspect of Kettlebell Training

By Richard W. Hulbert / Oshkosh

If I had to use one word to give a testimony to Derek, the word "Servant" would fit. Derek serves the people he instructs with humility. Never once have I witnessed Derek elevate himself above the people in his class of instruction. He uses his physical, mental, and natural ability with humility in mind.

His classes are always fresh because of his care in preparation. The respect that I have seen from other clients towards Derek is a direct result of his care, diligence, and love for what he is doing. Derek uses affirmation during workout sessions by calling out what a person is doing correct, and he is a tentative listener. He stays to answer any questions people have until the last person leaves the building. He does a great job in being enthusiastic and drawing the BEST out of his clients.

A great leader is open for improvement, and Derek is constantly improving himself, and stresses the correct techniques to meet the kettlebell training standards. Most importantly, Derek puts his family first by speaking highly of his wife and daughter in class.

I have pushed myself further than I thought possible because of the respect I've gained for Derek's intangible attributes he implements in kettlebell classes.

10/10 final piece of the puzzle update

By Jim Guell / Eden WI

Thusday April 23 at Appleton Xavier High School, Henry broke our schools 33 year old discus record. He currently has the second farthest throw in the state at 165 feet 6 inches. Adding kettle bell training has been the only thing that has changed in his workout routine in the last four years. He currently is undefeated in the shot and discus in 5 meets this season. Derek also has a master plan for Henry to time his workouts to end at a specific date prior to the state track championships to ensure maximum training effectiveness.

10/10 The last piece of the puzzle.

By Jim Guell / Eden, WI

My son Henry Guell was Derek's first customer at his Fond du Lac location. Henry started working out in December 2008. Henry is a high school shot and discus athlete at Saint Mary's Springs High School. He is also a 3 time state qualifier in these events. He has always been an avid weighlifter at school to stay strong but he really didn't have functional strength until he started working with Derek. He started with a 20 kilo kettle bell in December. Last week he did a Turkish Getup with 105# on the 7 foot olympic barbell. And his track performance has been excellent so far this season. He has competed in 3 meets so far this season and has set new personal records in each of them. I like to call his kettle bell workouts the final piece of the puzzle that will earn him his goals at the state track championships this season. Derek has not only been a great motivator and instructor, but he has been a mentor and friend as well. We feel so fortunate to have Derek come into Henry's life at this time. The combination of Derek's track background and his expertise at teaching the kettlebell has been great for us.

10/10 You never know what to expect at your next workout class...

By Ellen Binnema / Oshkosh WI USA

No two workouts are the same; this is what is so great about it. Also being in a motivated group with Derek as a very motivated instructor helps a lot. Derek keeps his classes 'fresh' and he knows how to keep you interested. It is hard and fun at the same time; you see results and that is what matters!!

10/10 Better Than Body Building

By Betsy Wandtke / Oshkosh, WI USA

I've always looked for a challenge. I studied Karate when I was 18, taught aerobics at 25, then I was a body builder at age 35 - competing and taking three awards.

I went from a physical job to one that was more sedate, so at age 46 I decided it was time to get back into shape again.

I tried Zumba, aerobics and weight lifting again. My heart wasn't in it and I couldn't get excited about doing any of them.

Then I discovered Derek and Kettle Bell training. I love it - I've never met an instructor that is so versitile in his work outs! There have never been two alike. I also really like the way my body feels - I feel strong and in control. Derek is always there to support all of us! He sincerely cares about how we progress. Derek not only helps us with our work outs, but diet as well. He is the best!

10/10 Turn Back The Clock!

By John Lines / Oshkosh, Wi

I have been training with Derek for 9 months now. He told a group of us at a business meeting that he was starting a high intensity type of training that focused on useable strength. He also said that it wasn't an easy workout but it produced amazing results for those that could do it.

Accepting that challenge was the best decision I have ever made for my health.

I workout 3 times a week and each workout is a different combination of exercises, which is a refreshing change from typical weightlifting. Derek is a hands on trainer that works out with us and insists on proper technique for maximum effect. The results from Kettlebell training and Dereks counsel on diet and suppliments have resulted in increased strength, endurance, flexibility and general well-being. I'm now wearing the same size clothes that I wore when I was in my late 20's, which is very rewarding now that I'm 52!

10/10 He Truly Leads by Example!!

By Kurt Treml / Butte Des Morts, WI

I have been working with Derek as my personal trainer for almost a year now, and the results have been fantastic! With powerful motivation and truly inspired workouts, I have been able to lose 10lbs overall and even more importantly, I have been able to maintain normal blood sugar readings! I am a type-two diabetic and weight-loss is VERY difficult, but by adjusting my medication and continuing my 5-day-a-week excercise (two days are Kettlebell workouts), I am able to feel GREAT, tightly control blood sugar readings, and even lose some weight, while having fun, gaining muscle and functional strength! Derek is easily the most "FIT" person I know, and I wouldn't be able to follow his regimen and believe so strongly in it, if he wasn't. What a great example.

10/10 Awesome Motivator!

By William Wuske / Ripon, WI USA

Derek is an awesome trainer! I enjoy running marathons, but I about a year ago I had an injury that made it painful for me to run. I gained weight and my running times slowed drastically. In August I started working with Derek, thorough he's expert knowledge in the use of Kettle Bells and he's ability to motivate, I'm back on the road again, feeling stronger and healthier then ever!

9/10 Decrease fat while building functional strength through kettlebells

By John Dorgan / Oshkosh, WI

A real motivator with a deep concern for his students Derek leads by example. My results so far to date with kettlebell training along and Derek's healthy eating suggestions have inspired me to add a THIRD day to my workout schedule. I have lost over 25lbs and more importantly, I continue to improve my overall functional strength.

Derek's workout are anything but, routine. Each workout is either geared toward strength or cardiovascular, alternating each day from upper body to lower body routines which keeps the body guessing what muscle group is going to hurt next. It's not easy but, nothing worhtwile ever is. The best part is as you continue the program the pain is much more bearable and the results keep you coming back for more. It also helps to have a great group of people to workout with. Derek has a way to bring out your best no matter what your level of fitness may be. I strongly encourage anyone to check it out.

10/10 Real Strength Inspiration!

Since Derek has introduced me to kettlebells, my body has undergone a substantial change. There is definition where I didn't think was possible and my true strength has shot through the roof. Being an avid triathlete and personal trainer, I thought I was in decent shape. However, Derek has pushed me above and beyond my limits as well as inspired me to register for the RKC in April. Kettlebells will forever be a staple of my workouts. Thanks Derek!

Derek Toshner is a great instructor. I have been training with him for about 3 months now and I see my bodyfat go down and muscle build up. I work out twice a week and every time Derek comes up with new excersises. It stays interesting that way and you never know what you will be up for that training session. Derek not just teaches Kettle Bell but also lets you know how to improve your whole life style. What to eat and not to eat etc. Kettle Bell is a great way to excersise and easy to do at home as well. As soon as you think it is getting to easy; you just get a heavier Bell.. It's never easy and that is why I am doing it!!
