Court Wing is an experienced trainer in "physical culture"; a 3rd degree black belt in Ki-Aikido, he was a direct apprentice (uchi deshi) to U.S. Chief Instructor of Ki Society International Koichi Kashiwaya for five years. During that time, he took 1st through 3rd place in the U.S. Taigi Competition '98-'00 and in August '00, he won the International Taigi Competition (with his training partner Scott Bohart) in Toichigi, Japan.
In the Fall of '01, while earning his B.F.A. in Acting from Purchase College, SUNY, he read Pavel Tsatsouline's "Power to the People". This book radically changed Court's viewpoint on strength training and fitness in general and lead to his introduction and ongoing fascination with Kettlebells, perhaps the most versatile "stand-alone" fitness tool (other than the human body itself) available today. He then bought "The Russian Kettlebell Challenge" by Pavel and in early '02 ordered his first 1 pood KB. By winter, he began training with RKC's Nick Nibler and Dave Werner (founders of the first CrossFit affiliate, CrossFit North, in Seattle), both of whom were featured in Pavel's excellent book "The Naked Warrior". Under their instruction, he received his certification as a CrossFit Trainer, Level 1.
He is the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of CrossFit NYC, New York's largest and oldest CrossFit affiliate and one of the first in the world. He recently received his certification as one of the first Z-Health Master Trainers. In addition, he was formerly a top seller as a Tier 2 personal trainer for Equinox Fitness on the Upper East Side of NYC. He trains private clients throughout the NYC metropolitan area. Previous clients include the President of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik ILVES, Chris Strauss, Features Editor of Men's Fitness and served as the Fitness Program Adviser for U.N. Close Protection Security. If you are looking for a serious, focused trainer that can bring insight, meticulous technique and comprehensive results to your training program, you should be working with Court. Kettlebell training has something to offer everyone, from professional athletes and fighters looking for competitive dominance, to fitness enthusiasts and people looking to regain their physical prowess with an intense, time-saving and thorough workout, all while gaining strength, endurance and agility.

Walks the Talk Rated 10 out of 10
Court is the real deal. He showed up on his own dime on a 45 degree morning for a 12 hour day. The next day was nicer with rain. He taught a short notice outdoor certification course to 28 of the best America has to offer. All are deployed at this time hunting in some of the harshest terrain and against some of the most dedicated enemies America has encountered. The average time of service is over 10 years with some nearing 20. I can speak for all of us that this was some of the best, most challenging, most useful training we have recieved. Through kettlebells we were trained in full body training, breathing techniques under stress, and the proper way to explosively move weight while incorporating endurance. One of the most important take aways was the focus in operational durability. As the number of tours mounts, a more critical decision making process is required on the battle field. America needs to retain the experience of the seasoned operator and the training that we recieved allows the operator to srenghten and rehab our bodies in austere environments. Court exemplifies the training and theories Pavel and his training brought to our command.

Found a great RKC in NYC - Court Wing
I have been training with KBs for two years now. I have diligently watched Pavel?s videos over and over again and read and reread his books, teaching myself how to do the various KB movements. But I was never sure that I was doing the movements 100% correctly. This past weekend I got together with an RKC named Court Wing. All I can say is - WOW! He was a real fountain of knowledge. He made suggestions on how to refine my technique and make the movements smoother and more efficient. His tips have already had significant carryover into the two workouts I have done since our meeting. He also taught me some pressing drills for the MP that made the KB feel almost like a feather when I was finished.
Thank you again, Court, I look forward to getting together again. To everyone on the forum I just want to say that spending time with an RKC is an excellent investment.
