10/10 Worth the drive to Dublin

Andy's workshop was the greatest thing that ever happened to my workout routine! As a Reynoldsburg resident, it is not practical for me to attend the weekly kettlebell classes, but my husband and I, along with our own personal trainer, have benefited greatly from the kettlebell workshops Andy holds. Andy is a great motivator, and a thoughtful, intelligent instructor. I encourage anyone, in any part of town to at least attend a workshop to get the basics down if you can't attend Andy's regular classes. It has only been just over a month, and I am down three pant sizes! I have never felt or slept better in years, and I actually can't wait for my workout. I had a workout regimen for the last three years that was showing little in the way of results, and I can't believe how fast kb's work! Andy is great, always there to answer your questions, and checkng on your progress. I recommend this program to anyone who is trying to lose fat off of their body and wants to see fast results.

If you live anywhere near Columbus, Ohio and have an interest in Kettlebell Training, this is the man you want to see. I am a 42 year old male, who was tremendously out of shape. Literally in one month, I feel like I have been transformed into a new person because of Andrew and these evil little devices called Kettlebells.
Of the five sessions that I have completed with him so far, each one has been different and more challenging. And even though he likes torturing his victims, he is very approachable and answered all questions that anyone asked, which we all had a lot of. One can only learn so much from a book or DVD. Nothing beats the personalized training that I have received from Andrew. Keep on bringing the pain!!!!!!!

A friend from Philadelphia got me interested in Kettlebells and advised me to get some professional instruction before starting. My weightlifting routines were getting old as was the eliptical machine. The timing was perfect. As I began to look into kettlebells, Andrew announced a workshop. The workshop was great and in two hours I learned all I needed to start. The additional classes really helped clean up my form and provide some workout ideas. Andrew is a great instructor and very helpful with individual instruction during the class. I highly recommend attending Andrew's classes. Like one of the other reviews stated, the workouts really kick my butt, but once I'm done I'm already looking forward to the next one. Thanks Andrew

I am a A.C.E. certified personal trainer and I recently realized that I need an edge. Both with my career and with my personal life. I need to "master" something. And it was Pavel and his Kettlebell philosophies that ignited my fire. So, I knew that I need to find an instructor in the Columbus area, and lo and behold, I discovered Lyons Training in Powell. Right from the first workout, I knew I had picked the right Kettlebell "dojo" to learn the Discipline. Andrew Lyons and Lora Sierschula are full of knowledge and insight when it comes to Kettlebell fundamentals and their workouts are both challenging and purposeful. They teach strong Kettlebell form and they go out of their way to make sure you understand the dynamics and proper technique. From beginners to older clients, no one is left behind! From core to cardio to pure-strength, Andrew and Lora's workouts do it all.

One final thought that makes Lyons Training stand out from the rest - Andrew Lyons is a licensed physical therapist, and his strong knowledge of joints, muscles and ligaments along with his use of proven warm-up exercises makes the Lyons approach to kettlebell fitness a safe one.

For the past 10 years I've been looking for what Andrew and his kettlebell workouts deliver. I'm an active person but was struggling with loss of muscle tone as I got older and thought I was past the point of recovering it. My running slowed down and everyday activities that required lifting, pushing and flexibility just felt harder. Machines and classes at the gym weren't helping build strength even tho I went regularly.

After 4 months of Andrews training my running has improved remarkably - Pace, posture and ease - I am building muscle and I feel stronger overall. Every class is different and I never leave without feeling like I've had a good workout and accomplished something new. For a young guy, he' got a special gift as an instructor, lots of knowledge about how bodies work, and seems to thrive on mixing things up. There's no fluff - its all the real deal and its great. I highly recommend it and am so glad I found him.

Originally, I wanted to begin a self-directed fitness program using kettle bells at home. Wanting to ensure good form to get results and avoid injury, I sought introductory training from a certified instructor and began training with Andrew Lyons.

He was able to match his instruction with my physical capabilities at the time, and I could see both his kettle bell knowledge and training as a physical therapist. I have continued beyond the introductory course under his direction and realized rapid, substantial, and measurable results: energy, flexibility, weight loss, strength and an accompanying overall increased enjoyment in the activities of daily living.

I have been particularly impressed by Andrew's friendly and personable ability to devise a varied and increasingly challenging exercise regime--matched to my personal performance level at the time--that, when coupled with good old-fashioned hard work, really delivers results. Highly recommended.

Ditto the other reviews! I was an out-of-shape 50ish woman with a long background in lifting with free weights. I needed something to get me exicted about working out again. Kettlebells are the ticket and Andrew was the perfect instructor for me. I travelled five hours for one-on-one training (twice so far) and it was worth every gallon of gas. What I wanted was instruction on the proper form and suggested workout routines and Andrew delivered. KBs require a different mindset from lifting with barbells/dumbells and Andrew was able to communicate those differences very clearly. I've been able to take his instruction home with me to workout on my own with confidence that I have good form and the perfect way to workout to get me into the best shape of my life! Thanks, Andrew!

I began training with Andrew in hopes of finding something new to jump-start my work out routine. In the past year, I have seen incredible gains in strength, tone, and posture that have bettered my performance in other sports as well. Andrew has a vast knowledge of kettlebells, teaches a variety of exercises, and constantly evaluates strength and adjusts weights as needed. He provides an excellent foundation and quietly modifies exercises as necessary to better your form without embarrassment. I highly recommend kettlebell training with Andrew Lyons!

I started working with kettlebells in October to help improve my overall strength and to supplement the typical "weight room exercises" my baseball team does. Andrew helped me learn the exercises in a very short amount of time. He is able to make the slightest tweak to your form, which will improve your performance greatly. Also, with his physical therapy background, Andrew is able to improve your training in a safe manner. Andrew did a great job teaching me, who knew nothing about kettlebells from the onset, how to perform the exercises. I would recommend Andrew to anyone who wants to learn the wonders of kettlebell training.

Kettlebells really transformed me. I was always an athletic guy, but the overall workout you get with kettlebells is par excellence.
My main problem was I'd get carried away and concentrate on one muscle group. I'd be aggressive in the first couple of sessions & with a Trapezius/Shoulder injury, it'd always lead to a painful absence from future sessions. Kettlebells really workout the whole muscle groups as opposed to isolating so called "Beach Muscles". It concentrates on the core strength, and as a guy who plays many other sports, I greatly benifitted from the increase in strength and endurance. My tanktops got tight, albeit with no bulging biceps.
As Officer E. Hollyfield accurately pointed out, Andy has an easy hard working ethic. He seems very casual in his fast paced talk, but it is deceptive. He instructs the right way to do things and he works you out GOOD! He asks you to take it slow, but continues to challenge you.
A perfect combination, in my view. An Ideal introduction to a new "What the hell is a kettlebell" world :-)
